Exploring Underground Manchester. Rivert Culverts and Hidden Bridges

In this video we go exploring underground Manchester on an urbex, urban exploration video. We look at the river Irk in its massive culvert under the streets of Manchester. As it plunges underneath Manchester Victoria Railway station. The River Irk is one of Manchester's main three rivers. Underground it meets the River Irwell. There is lots of History of Manchester in the river culvert as we see lots of Victorian Architecture. We look at Walkers Croft the ancient burial ground and examine the history of the supposed hidden bridge, the alleged medieval bridge under Manchester Victoria Railway station. In this history of manchester video we are wading in the river Irk looking at underground features and examining the history of Manchester. We also look at Manchester's Workhouse on new bridge street. The workhouse was the fear of Victorian society.
