    As Adam Savage said, when you buy a tool the first time... get the cheapest you can... if you use it enough or break it... buy a better one... and only buy a VERY good/expensive one for the ones you USE enough to justify it.

    • @MrChrissy1r
      @MrChrissy1r Месяц назад +1

      I disagree with that sentiment. As a MASTER carpenter and joiner, O.N.C & H.N.C 60 years in the trade,, as an apprentice we were encouraged, to buy the best of the best, for any given tool, for instance one maker made better saws, or chisels or planes etc etc, and the older tradesmen we worked under as apprentices would have the benefit of their experience as to what make per tool was best, truth is they all agreed, from the newest to the oldest and my college tutors too. Thus to this day I still have and use those tools. Nowadays it's a shame to say "names" are over rated and over priced. So sad to see supposed ""professionals"" using plastic, handled throwaway "hard point" saws, plastic cased electric drills, plastic handled chisels etc etc. A pound to a piece of doggy doo, not one supposed "professional" these days could top, sharpen and set his own saws as we did, and I still do! I have an original Diston panel saw, Diston were taken over by Sandvik, (and I use to have a commemorative edition), double tapered blade, which I bought as an apprentice after saving for months, , sadly I lost a lot of my original tools to thieves but nonetheless, those I have still got are now worth 20 times what I paid! The biggest load of codswallop on RUclips is sharpening, what cobblers there is, I still have and use a double sided "India" stone and I can shave the hair off of my arm with any of the tools that have to be sharp. Fact is you get what you pay for, but often as not "names" are overpriced, whatever item it is!

The thing is amazing, takes huge punishment and stunningly useful. I lent it to my landlord who bolted together a steel barn for his 3 JCBs with it. He was sad to give it back. For the price I am pleased with how good this device is. I use Festool and such for the exactness, design and perfection but for bashing stuff together and smashing it apart, this china tool does the job remarkably well. The old DeWalt NiMH 18V impact drivers were about on par with the Temu mini one, or maybe even a little weaker. If I remember correctly when I tested them it would stop around 35-40 ft-lbs. I also had a 1/2 inch impact and it could barely pull off a 100-ft-lb lug nut. I had to add torque to the nuts after putting them on with that because it was too weak. People forget how bad the old tools were. Now the cheapo import stuff outperforms that old prosumer stuff from 20 years ago.

      @@icebear6393 hahaha yeah that's a little longer than you want, but 100 ft lbs would probably be a good limit to stay under for that gun with that size shank (1/4in). Is this a full size truck or SUV you're taking the lugs off of? 120 is a little much for a passenger vehicle or light truck, so I'm jw

    Maybe not a "torture test" but a mildly in depth test/review on some of the ego tools(power head and attachments) would probably gain alot of traction. I feel like every weekend im cutting the yard i have multiple ppl asking me abt my tools. Alot of ppl still think its a cheap generic brand and not aware of their durability and efficencalty!

    I do love tool racing, and the various testing that's a thing nowadays. I do want to make a point, I do woodworking and work on cars. The car side of this is never mentioned. Those impacts, lets be real even a shitty one is good enough for wood mostly. Now cars is where everything is different. I have a rigid brushless subcompact now, gamechanger for the cars. My suuuuper old ryobi impact that came with the cheap set did me well for wood for years. Now the good one im using that sucker on cars, and its impressive. Just saying I think with how you have done ratings with things like squirrels, I think could be applied here. Like a straight trash, doesnt work. Then a good enough to work for wood. Then works well for wood. Then good enough for car level. Just one of those things I love videos like these, but I do know those cheapo tools would actually work very well for alot of people I know. Just not me or you lol.

      Lol thats what I get for commenting before the video is over. Old impacts just couldnt do lugnuts, modern ones do have a shot. I do think your torque wrench was off, but still. More real test would be go to a lug you havnt loosened and torqued, lets be real shops and us normal people all have big boy impacts for lugs now. But good tests

    Honestly for the price, I cant find any faults with these tools. They usually come with a battery and charger too, so for anyone who's not able to drop the dosh for quality tools, or isn't sure if they'll be using them enough to be worth the cost. These are a great alternative.

    Would you please tell me exactly which model that was so that I may order one? It seems perfect for my needs
    Thank you very much
