Downtown orlando is a shell of its prepandemic self. Went out last night (St Patricks Day Weekend) and u could throw a rock and not hit people at most establishments.
@@TheOrlandoReal i feel its a combination of many things. First the work from home thing made the daily foot traffic much lower during the day. So a lot of the mom and pop restaurants closed. Then they never finished many of the residential towers they originally were going to build so there are less people to support retail and restaurants and bars. Then the homeless sorta ran rampant. Gen Z doesnt party near as much as millenials and gen x did so the club scene is much more subdued but somehow more violent with the amount of crime downtown. Church Street is empty. Wall Street cant command a crowd except for weekends. Even the amount of festivals and family events have decreased at Lake Eola. They didnt even do New Years this year. So its a lot of things.
Ken congratulations Orlando reel channel took off 😊 !!$$
Hey thanks! It’s fun to find a passion project that ties into what we do - Ken

Do you feel like that’s because bars closed and never reopened? Or people just don’t see downtown as a spot to hang out in?
