Si, the bassist of The Verve, liked it so much he gifted Ren a guitar. He send it to him in Canada , where Ren is undergoing medical treatment for quite a time, to encourage him. Short from Ren about it: ruclips.net/user/shortsZzZx0YA7U34
I concur! He has a video showing himself opening it! It's a SWEET guitar! Looks OLD... Very Valuable! I don't know what it is... but wish someone would let me know!!!! Like he says... he don't know if he should play it, or frame it!!!
I concur. Look forward to you reviewing chalk outlines, Suicide, genesis, Losing It, Heretic.and others, that will start to show some of his diversity.
The sun paints the pavements - it’s a fantastic come down story that’s true for so many coming home at dawn. Dig your Paul Gambacnni style of knowledge. Love that Ren references classical, that jazz, to rock, reggae, ska and his big love - rap.
My first introduction to Ren was 'Hi Ren'... After that performance (much more than a song), I went head first into the rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed. He's an incredible lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, he can rap rap, he's an amazing vocalist, and his personal story is inspiring. I wish I could go into more detail, but, you know... dinner must be prepared. Let's just say that in my 50+ years on this earth, I've never been so taken by any other artist. Take the plunge; you won't regret it. Look into his history a bit, and react to 'Hi Ren' next if you can.
Ren is multi talented and if you go down the 'Ren rabbit hole ' which many reactors are going down you will experience the full range of emotional music...
So glad you're on to Ren now Eric! And that track from Blade...I Against I was my favorite! But. I also love Massive Attack...Teardrop, Angel, I Against I, and so many other great ones! Have loved Massive Attack for many, many years. I can't wait for you to get to Genesis, Hi Ren, Sick Boi, Chalk Outlines, How To Be Me, and so many more! All other comments have filled you in by now, as I'm late to this one, so I won't be redundant. Working on brevity, not very successfully lol! Hope you and the boys are more than well, my friend! Blessings to you guys from me and my family!
We talked about it. Eric considers it a too much trodden path, his expression was different, but that was the gist. He is going to listen to Hi Ren off camera to know what everybody is talking about and know the artist it better, but he won't do it on youtube.
Honestly you can't go wrong with Ren! He is an incredible singer, songwriter, rapper, beatboxer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, who makes his own beats as well. He was signed to Sony years ago, but was dropped when he became seriously ill with undiagnosed Lyme disease. He spent most of his 20's in bed as the Lyme disease was misdiagnosed for 8 years as various mental illnesses and then ME/CFS, before he finally got a correct diagnosis. He was able to get stem cell therapy treatment for it in America, but still had long-term side effects from the damage done to his nervous system. He is currently in Canada undergoing further treatment to try and minimise those effects. The fact that he was able to make any kind of music, let alone brilliant, affecting music whilst battling so many health problems honestly astounds me. I second starting with 'Hi Ren' and then follow it up with 'Sick Boi' but if you want a Beastie Boys homage then head over to 'What You Want'.
Yeah, every once in a while, we get an artist of his calibre. It's the effortless way he does his thing that strikes me. And it isn't easy to take indeed that iconic hook and riff on it without cheapening it. Instead he enriches it, changes it, makes it another take on that bittersweet sympony that is live in London, Great Britain. The voice of the people, without arrogance, straight from the source. I hope he gets many years still to create. Thanks for a great reaction again man. See you next time!
Ok you can’t go wrong w Renexcept The Tales Trilogy must be listened to in order 1 Jenny 2 Screech 3 Violet. He is original and genre defying. Morning from old Trafford in Manchester, home of the best football team ever. Did not think I would be sat here with my headphones on smoking a spliff 60yrs old and watching it snow, then I see a kindred spirit in music and obviously Manchester United.
I’m an 80s 90s girl but I’d already dived into Ren’s catalogue before clicking on this, with much trepidation even knowing he’s a talented artist. Urban Hymns is still in my top 3 today. As soon as he started I knew it was bang on and the Verve purist took a back seat and thoroughly enjoyed this track. By the end I was grinning, nostalgic, crying and thrilled that he’d done such justice to this iconic song from my generation. I have no idea why this isn’t on the radio. He is a musical genius to pull this off. I also was born and raised in Britain til I was ten so I connected that way too. I have not heard one Ren son yet (except Sexual Healing with Chinchilla live-and only because I was in a sour mood when I listened to it) that hasn’t checked off every box for me lyrically, sonically, emotionally. What other artist today who writes everything himself, produces everything himself and on a low budget can do this and be relevant and unique? Maybe I’m overselling him but he is mad talented. Cheers from Tasmania, Australia. Thanks for reacting to Ren.
And double cheers from Albany, Western Australia (we get aurora australis too!) The respect and love he brings to music, to start with something that could be divisive and make it end up so damn good. This year had been an extra special one having Ren's music. Even better hearing Love Music part 4 banging out from a strangers car at the roundabout the other day. Glad he's perfusing regional WA, hope I had some part in that. I found a friend from uni that haven't seen in 15 years in the Ren comments earlier this year, he was living in Germany and it was like running into each other in real life. We're catching up in November even he's back in WA
REN lyrical genius sometimes He is on the different level now Highly recommending more Just go through official videos You won't regret 🔥 Thank you very much for today man 🙏
Can’t wait until you do the Tale of Jenny and Screech (FULL). It’s a trilogy of three songs in one video and I sincerely recommend you do it in one go. You won’t be disappointed ❤!! The storytelling, the guitar skills, the emotions, everything!!!
I think the reason why this works so well is both The Verve and Ren are painting the picture of true life in Britain in the late 90s and early 20s. I was a student in Brighton (where this video was shot) in the late 2000s and it’s sad to see that not much has changed since then, but I get a warm familiarity when I listen to it. Bittersweet indeed.
Is this your first Ren song? 🤯🤯🤯🤯 I mean, don’t get me wrong I love this, but it’s kind of like saying you watched Michael Jordan play basketball because you saw Space Jam a couple times.
He uses hooks in a very 90s way to my ears. Some of his stuff reminds me of Jeff Buckley (Chalk Outlines (live) or How To Be Me (live) specifically, in collab with Chinchilla, who is a fine artist in her own right, and just back from singing backing for Sting on his European tour) to solid performance art - The Tales of Jenny and Screech (Full), Hi Ren, and Money Games pts 1 and 2.
The Verve's guitarist sent Ren a guitar it kind of blew him away that one they sent him with guitar and 2 they actually listened to his song. I think one you might like if you like radio-style music is called What You Want by Ren. I would also suggest Chalk Outlines by Ren and Chinchilla.
Really enjoyed your perspective! I've heard from musicians but not much from DJs, and it's great that you spent so long discussing it. I think you'll enjoy delving further into Ren's music as he plays with every genre. Hi Ren is his most complex and unusual track so far and would be a great one to get your opinion on. It's less commercial though, so if you're after more radio-friendly tracks then Chalk Outlines (live) is a great one. He has done a Beastie Boys tribute called What You Want where he makes a completely original track but takes is fully old skool.
Hi sweety x love your reactions!! I am a soon to be grandma from UK and have not been this excited about an artist since Jeff Buckley xx yes Ren appears to be uniting people of all ages...through the fusion different genres of music Please react to Rens 'Genesis' and also 'The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full trilogy)' xx
Ren took the title literally. He beautifully expressed both the bitter and the sweet of living in Britain. Liked and subscribed. See you at your next Ren reaction.
At Rens Birthday party online, Ren shared that he got a gift from Simon Tong, a beautiful guitar with a couple of books. He really touch my heart that day as he began to cry from all the love he has been receiving while in medical treatment in Canada. You are doing a beautiful job of sharing your knowledge, Eric. Your European connections serve you well in this adventure.
"Social awareness masked behind joyful noise", what a great way to look at this and it makes total sense. I came to your channel because of Ren but I stayed because of you. I truly hope to hear your take on much more of Ren's catalog, it fascinates me that at a rather seasoned age I have become excited by not just music again, but the art that is Ren. Peace Friend.
The next Prince due to his genre blending. My friend I do not say this lightly but if you put in the effort to dig deeper, from a musical perspective, your life will have a new pivotal direction. There are some artists who do this. Someone once described to me the definition of art as being the ability to make an inanimate object create an emotional reaction. Welcome.
From one United fan to another and as one music lover to another, strap in because you have just started one hell of a journey going down the Ren rabbit hole. I guarantee he will be the most diversely talented music artist you have probably come across, he pretty much does it all and he also does a good job at fusing different styles together. He does things differently but at the same time you can hear the influences and he isn’t afraid to tip his hat to those influences in homage to them. There is something for everyone and he doesn’t feel out of place in any style which I love because as someone who loves good music from a very broad spectrum of genres I can put his catalog of music on shuffle and be treated to an ever changing variety of sounds and emotions, a rollercoaster of emotions, keeps you on your toes and doesn’t allow to get comfortable, which is a reason I love progressive music. A lot of his music has that progressive formula, he does what any true artist should do and pushes the boundaries which is probably not for some peoples taste and why his music probably doesn’t get the airtime over the airwaves but it’s right up my alley
I've watched so many of your Ren reactions but somehow I missed the first time you heard him!?? A little late to the party but this was a great reaction...
He has at least 3 different music careers . The guy has a so many great songs but also a video musical theater and is in a fantastic rock band. Enjoy the rabbit hole
Great reaction - I actually heard this with new ears whilst listening with you. Been trying to get Ren to link me to MP3s to play on our radio show - not managed yet, but will not give up :-)
If possible, and you have the set up, play the video in real time and record into the software. When I want a specific bed for radio, I just real-time record it from a good source then edit it, check the levels and slap it into the system. It may not be the best way to get a copy or get him the spin credit since it won't be a toned song for BDS, but it will get you the music to introduce to the listeners. Maybe from there you can eventually get a clean copy. He's totally independent, so I wouldn't put too much into waiting for him or his team to reach out. You may need to act on your own and ask for forgiveness later if any issues arrive. Most you'll get is a C&D, and that's only if he has a legal team. Cheers, Eric
Unconventional introduction to ren... But atleast now your introduced. Yes, this is good... But ren has taken the level of lyricism, artism, self analyses... Like, there's many English professors that have been doing in depth analyses of his songs, doctors breaking down and opening up issues he's brought to light... I think the consensus from most will be to.. "alright, let's sit you down and get you on to the itenery... Hi ren - this will move you and open up parts of your psyche you try to not acknowledge exists Hunger - just to fuck with you by flipping it completely The big push (his band) - street performing, numerous tracks they cover Then his duets with chinchilla - these will make you feel like your made of chalk.. Brittle and feeling like you'll crumble (Easter egg in there.. A chalk Easter egg 🍳😋) After the next song of his, I guarantee that you will be getting out the rollerdex and making calls to all the old associates to get this guy on radio Oh, and you will learn about his life, struggles and situation currently in the comments of this video I assume. That will just raise the bar instantly by 3 fold. Good luck have fun, on the best discovery you will have this year, possibly this decade, or even ever.
Welcome to the RENaissance. The track that made him blow up is Hi Ren, released back in December. It's a one-man show telling a story personal to him that resonates with the vast majority of humanity. For an outstanding introduction to his guitar skills and true storytelling chops, then load up The Tale of Jenny & Screech (full) for a tale of tragedy from the streets of London as told by a modern-day bard. If you'd like to hear his other hiphop/rap tracks, you're spoiled for choices. > Losing It > The Hunger > Power > Genesis > What You Want > Right Here, Right Now His two latest releases are the 2nd and 3rd from his upcoming album, Sick Boi, and Illest of Our Time, both of which go hard and are 🔥 Regardless of what you choose to check out, you can't miss. ~ Peace 🕊
The base player from The Verve sent him his guitar, think the video of him opening it is on his feed on here or on instagram. Massive feel good vibes from this retake. ❤
Ren started out doing more Poppish songs with Trick The Fox (his first band, look their songs up)...even solo with Freckled Angels... but still had that hiphop influence throughout. The Big Push really showed off more of his rock/instrument chops. He has said his favorite artists are Red Hot Chili Peppers (his biggest guitar influence is john fruciante) and Rage Against the Machine. It would be fun to see him do a metal/hard rock album after he puts out this hip hop album.
Ren is like your Favourite Sports Team once you become a Fan you are a Fan for life, the dude is different and doesn't fit in any Box, being independent he is in his own lane, he has many influences and doesn't care who anyone compares him too, because he'll Bounce between Genres and do all of them to a high level, doesn't matter if the Music he makes is by Himself, with his Band The Big Push, Collaborating with other Artists or just Busking with his Friends, doesn't matter if he's Rapping, Singing, Playing Multiple instruments with Virtuosity, making his own Beats, or Writing and Producing his own Tracks, in everything he does, " The music Is all about the creative process and if people can find something to relate to within that then that's just a bonus”, Ren Fans should get the Irony.
Ren had to drop out of Music school and a Sony contract due to a mysterious illness that for periods left him bed bound 23 hr/ day. He was repeatedly misdiagnosed and mistreated for 7 plus years- chronic fatigue syndrome, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety….. Then he was finally diagnosed with Lyme Disease. The years of improper treatments as well as the Lyme Disease going untreated led to organ damage, stress psychosis , nerve damage, fatigue, pain….. He has been on life support and there were times he didn’t expect to see his 30s. Several Years ago he got a stem cell transplant that improved his condition, but was not a cure. He has since developed a demylenating autoimmune disease and is in Canada seeking treatment. Despite these challenges, he has continued to work toward the goal of being a professional musician. He’s been working on this since age 12. 12/23 He dropped Hi Ren and it has blown up leading people to discover him and his back catalog ( 105+ videos on RUclips).
If you want a colour scheme Ren is your man, there is nothing he can’t do. His catalogue is big and the rabbit hole is very deep. You might want to check out ‘Hi Ren’, the story of his struggle, The Tale of Jenny and Screech’ (full version) for an epic story, What you Want’ is an ode to the Beastie Boys. I could go on and on but I’m sure you’ll have many many suggestions from your following.
I concur. Start with Hi Ren next. Not how magically simple many of his videos on. Lapel mic and plugged in or acoustic guitar recorded live often single takes. Writing - brilliant word play singing voice frisson inducing Rapping -intertwined double timed Mixing/ producing Wow Acting- immersive Plays multiple instruments Makes his own Beats
Lolol..Im a northerner and LOVE you love Madchester!! The Arctic Monkeys are from my City (Sheffield) .. Sheffield has a great music scene..the late 90s/early 2000 was even better.BTW..Im Man City!😂😜☮️💓🇬🇧 NEW SUB!😉
this was your first Ren song? Oh, man, there's a lot. you can't pin him down into one genre. he writes and sings ballads and rap and rock tunes. He plays guitar, base, piano and cello (I've seen where he says that, but not found a video of it--yet.). the guitarist for the verve sent him a guitar in response to this, which is cool. he was signed with Sony, then got ill and they dropped him. He was treated for a wide variety of things, ME, CFS, and 'it's all in your head' before it was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. He'd spent the years in bed for days or weeks at worst, but managing to busk a little and record in his room on good days. The years of not being treated for that, as well as the meds for everything 5 or 6 years ago he got stem cell treatments and he didn't have, wrecked his body. but the treatment helped and after that his production of works boomed. He's in Canada now getting follow up treatments, having recorded and filmed an album full of songs that he is spending his time producing, releasing about one a month since December. I've subscribed in hopes you'll react to more by Ren.
I have 2 sugestions to you that will give you the type of artist that Ren is and the real 90's vibe.....listen the track "hunger" and the "money game 3" Thumbs up for your channel
Dude, you have only listened to two of my least of the favorites from Ren. There is Sooo much more. Ren can do it all at a very high level. I concur that Ren, Hi Ren should be your next listen. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever heard.
HA! I would credit Marlboro and weed, but my Creator may take offense! Just something I was born with and shaped over 3 decades of radio. I can't fix a car, but I'll sound great talking to the tow truck driver! Cheers! Eric
How many kids do you think are here? I think a lot of us are your age give or take 10 years lol you're probably among contemporaries, kids got talent though no doubt.
Just yesterday I was thinking, this artist's work is something Eric would play on his radio show...well, you confirmed my thought, haha. Since you don't want to address politics on this channel, you better watch Money game 1 & 2 in private ;-) Warm regards, Patty
I do not believe he has released that. He hears a beat he vibes with and makes a song. Like he did with All my life ruclips.net/video/mViaIY98gUA/видео.html or Losing it ruclips.net/video/mLvAGjhDssc/видео.html or right here right now ruclips.net/video/yVaJUdllr3c/видео.html There is so much EXPLORE
If you insist on not reacting to Hi Ren by Ren....😂 could I suggest Hi Ren by Mr. Blackburger? It's a cover, of course, but it is a pop/punk version, and I think it's very good. Not all Ren fans might agree 😮😊😂
I hate that I'm a part of this now, but I DO have a Patreon. I still don't know how that works, but I do plan on doing Patreon requests. I don't want to give off a "Pay to Play" vibe, but for those who support the channel through Patreon, their requests will get priority. And regardless of your joining my Patreon or not, I'll for sure put that in the book and get to it when I can. I like his work and it gets traffic to my page, so I'm always down for that! Cheers, Eric
It was Alan Klein who sued them, and he managed the band for a long time. They had permission to use a small sample of "The Last Time", but Klein argued they "used more than approved 5 notes". Even though Ashcroft made the notes unrecognizable when used, the band was sued for more than the agreed upon 50% royalties. The Stones have since returned the money to The Verve. No one even knew that sample was from that song until the court case. Even to us radio folks, the hook was familiar, but no one thought it was a sample. Even the Stones know that particular hook is The Verve. Cheers, Eric
Si, the bassist of The Verve, liked it so much he gifted Ren a guitar. He send it to him in Canada , where Ren is undergoing medical treatment for quite a time, to encourage him.

It should be on the radio!
Deserves radio play for sure. I have been requesting Ren on our National alternative radio station Triple J in Australia.
Congrats on the 10k subscribers!

It's less commercial though, so if you're after more radio-friendly tracks then Chalk Outlines (live) is a great one.
He has done a Beastie Boys tribute called What You Want where he makes a completely original track but takes is fully old skool.
Thank you great reaction you’re awesome anything from Ren is amazing ❤❤
Hi sweety x love your reactions!!
I am a soon to be grandma from UK and have not been this excited about an artist since Jeff Buckley xx
yes Ren appears to be uniting people of all ages...through the fusion different genres of music
Please react to Rens 'Genesis' and also 'The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full trilogy)' xx
Ren took the title literally. He beautifully expressed both the bitter and the sweet of living in Britain.
Liked and subscribed.
See you at your next Ren reaction.
I love how you reference Ashcroft and how people like myself see it as iconic. Ren done a great job keeping it "bittersweet."
#renarmy 😇👹
Ran it’s a genius. I listen to his music 24 hours a day. Thank you. Awesome reaction.❤❤
Great reaction to a true GENIUS. Liked & subscribed in anticipation of you reacting to more Ren.
Cheers pal 👍🍻
"i against i" ❤ oh man, you got the game! 💪🤘
good video man i respect your knowledge and humbleness 🙏
A lot of his music has that progressive formula, he does what any true artist should do and pushes the boundaries which is probably not for some peoples taste and why his music probably doesn’t get the airtime over the airwaves but it’s right up my alley
hey man you just earned a sub been watching ya for a while what excllent reaction bigging up ren my regards from across the pond u.k
Love this.
After the verve heard this they sent ren a guitar as a gift!
Ren is a unique talent. Most start with hi ren. Blown away. Once in a generation type of stuff
I've watched so many of your Ren reactions but somehow I missed the first time you heard him!?? A little late to the party but this was a great reaction...
Love Ren Love Song#2 too!!
Just subscribed. Love the shirt .from Manchester UK 👊👍
Cheers,
Eric
Unconventional introduction to ren... But atleast now your introduced.
Yes, this is good... But ren has taken the level of lyricism, artism, self analyses...
Like, there's many English professors that have been doing in depth analyses of his songs, doctors breaking down and opening up issues he's brought to light...
I think the consensus from most will be to.. "alright, let's sit you down and get you on to the itenery...
Hi ren - this will move you and open up parts of your psyche you try to not acknowledge exists
Hunger - just to fuck with you by flipping it completely
The big push (his band) - street performing, numerous tracks they cover
Then his duets with chinchilla - these will make you feel like your made of chalk.. Brittle and feeling like you'll crumble (Easter egg in there.. A chalk Easter egg 🍳😋)
After the next song of his, I guarantee that you will be getting out the rollerdex and making calls to all the old associates to get this guy on radio
Oh, and you will learn about his life, struggles and situation currently in the comments of this video I assume.
> Losing It
> The Hunger
> Power
> Genesis
> What You Want
> Right Here, Right Now
His two latest releases are the 2nd and 3rd from his upcoming album, Sick Boi, and Illest of Our Time, both of which go hard and are 🔥
Regardless of what you choose to check out, you can't miss.
~ Peace 🕊
Thanks for doing this
Please help Ren get the exposure he deserves. He is unique and an exceptional artist.
Oh yeah the madchester sound 👌
Was filmed in Rens home city of Brighton.
I really like you reaction - so I subscribed ❤
One of the best tracks that should be on the radio is “Power” because it could be played on such a variety of stations.
More ren would be awsome
If you want a colour scheme Ren is your man, there is nothing he can’t do. His catalogue is big and the rabbit hole is very deep. You might want to check out ‘Hi Ren’, the story of his struggle, The Tale of Jenny and Screech’ (full version) for an epic story, What you Want’ is an ode to the Beastie Boys. I could go on and on but I’m sure you’ll have many many suggestions from your following.
Gazan teen, MC Abdul: Shouting at the Wall. .and he´s featured on Tamer Nafar: The Beat Never Goes Off. .listen up (vids were a few years ago)
Yep, do hi Ren next ,and that will be a propper intro. Because Ren has so much more of worth to offer you.
Love your reactions. Please do some Big push stuff, It's the band that Ren was in and there's lots of great live busking videos
Huge fan of the Verve urban hymns is one of my favourite albums ever but I love ren,s version
I concur.
Start with Hi Ren next. Not how magically simple many of his videos on. Lapel mic and plugged in or acoustic guitar recorded live often single takes.
Writing - brilliant word play
singing voice frisson inducing
Rapping -intertwined double timed
Mixing/ producing Wow
Acting- immersive
Plays multiple instruments
Makes his own Beats
Yoo Eric, took you long enough :D I'm sure Ren is right down your Ally as both of you are intelligent and know what you talk about
Care too you from UK
Lolol..Im a northerner and LOVE you love Madchester!! The Arctic Monkeys are from my City (Sheffield) .. Sheffield has a great music scene..the late 90s/early 2000 was even better.BTW..Im Man City!😂😜☮️💓🇬🇧
NEW SUB!😉
I'm surprised Ren's "Do you Believe" isn't already on main stream music radio
Hello, he got a guitar from the bassist of the verve, think they liked it
this was your first Ren song?
You might like ‘What You Want’ by Ren for a fun call-back to the days of the Beastie Boys
I love his bands cover (big push) of i shot the sheriff/road to zyon/hip hop
And their cover of war pigs
And
Try Ren's "What you want". I think you would love it.
Do RENs money game part 1 and 2,Great reaction Thank you
I have 2 sugestions to you that will give you the type of artist that Ren is and the real 90's vibe.....listen the track "hunger" and the "money game 3"
Thumbs up for your channel
Dude, you have only listened to two of my least of the favorites from Ren. There is Sooo much more. Ren can do it all at a very high level. I concur that Ren, Hi Ren should be your next listen. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever heard.
You are the first reaction I’ve seen that got juxtaposition nature of the song.
You gotta tell me where yawl get that DJ Voice filter, it kicks ass ;-)
HA! I would credit Marlboro and weed, but my Creator may take offense! Just something I was born with and shaped over 3 decades of radio. I can't fix a car, but I'll sound great talking to the tow truck driver!
Cheers!
Eric
I don’t think this track is monetized, due to copyright…. I wish it was!
Ren is genre bending. He has a band called The Big Push, try some of their stuff, he also is a brilliant guitarist, singer, songwriter and actor
Please react to Kasey Chambers - Lose Yourself (Eminem Cover) LIVE Newcastle. She's an Aussie country singer will blow you away
I've sent some of Rens stuff to a dj and he said they were great songs but the highers won't let them play anyone that hasn't charted
Great video mate, horrible shirt though 😅 should react to ‘Hi Ren’ it’s unbelievable
Ive got some nut butter for auntie Betty 😂😂😂😂
Woohoo why did you just saying song #2 that earworm crawled in.
I do not believe he has released that. He hears a beat he vibes with and makes a song. Like he did with All my life ruclips.net/video/mViaIY98gUA/видео.html
or Losing it ruclips.net/video/mLvAGjhDssc/видео.html
or right here right now ruclips.net/video/yVaJUdllr3c/видео.html
There is so much EXPLORE
If you haven't done any could you do some Tom MacDonald? Ghost is one that would fit on the radio but could you do Brainwashed instead?
If you insist on not reacting to Hi Ren by Ren....😂 could I suggest Hi Ren by Mr. Blackburger? It's a cover, of course, but it is a pop/punk version, and I think it's very good. Not all Ren fans might agree 😮😊😂
Wasn't the hook on the Verves song a Rolling stones sample?
Bro... tell me how... I'll send ya money to do his and the Big Push covers of Praise You and Englishman in New York!!!
Cheers,
Eric
I thought the rolling stones created the hook? The verve sampled TRS didn’t they?
It was Alan Klein who sued them, and he managed the band for a long time. They had permission to use a small sample of "The Last Time", but Klein argued they "used more than approved 5 notes". Even though Ashcroft made the notes unrecognizable when used, the band was sued for more than the agreed upon 50% royalties. The Stones have since returned the money to The Verve. No one even knew that sample was from that song until the court case. Even to us radio folks, the hook was familiar, but no one thought it was a sample. Even the Stones know that particular hook is The Verve.
Cheers,
Eric
