My dad's module had the blanc screen out of this, we just did the update version process and after sending the file it came back to life, it asked for Factory Reste, pressed accept and done. Not a big problem!

I sent this general response though:I have heard that you can leave the td-8 plugged in and change the battery to save your settings but you have to be careful doing that. I didn't do it that way and it did wipe out everything when I changed the battery. Do at your own risk.

wipe out you mean to the point of having a blank screen? I bought a TD8 to which this happened, do you know how to restore it?
