Gday Jamie thanks for ya video mate, totally what we needed knowning we are not alone on the RUclips journey thinking is all the effort worth it, the cost of travel and filming it, days and weeks of editing, then posting with not many views or new subs 🥵😢😭 My wife and I both quit our jobs 3 yrs ago to travel the world and film the journey not just for us and our memories but to make it informative and entertaining for others to enjoy watching. Since then while basing ourselves in India covid hit had to return back WA and nearly 3yrs later with only 2K subs you think is it worth it... all the effort and time with no real return. Well after this vid you have encouraged us to purse our original dream. Hey Jamie. Thanks for sharing your story. I know life is never easy when you choose the path to become a full-time content creator. I was just like you who graduated from with dual master degrees in Structural Engineering and Engineering Management in Melbourne uni. Then I found my passion in filmmaking so I gave it a shot being as a content creator instead of finding a full-time job. I found so many inspirations along this journey such as you, Benn, Sam Kolder, Erik Hedenfalk etc, you guys are my mentors and had given me a lot of creative ideas on my projects. This video really resonated with me and I have been through all what you mentioned about being as a content creator in this video and it's tough sometimes. Now I'm trying to find a more blanced way to create content for myself while I can make a living with some commercial filming. I sincerely wish you and Benn can be great success in chasing your dreams and I hope we all can be pround of ourselves in the future. Also btw man, you are making great content and I enjoy watching them. Just trust yourself, follow your heart and keep it up. This is great jamie, i think everyone can relate to this in every job we have. Sometimes doing what you love to do as a job can get stressful when you have to do it for income, i think thats inevitable Even edm artists who are successful probably feel the same way, a scary question we all face is, What if we get out dream job but still feel unfulfilled? I think no matter what job we have, if we dont have connection and communication with our God/family/friends, we will always feel a void from my experience Thanks for creating dude, good luck to you

Absolutely relatable and inspiring, money is such a big element when pursuing dreams. Some people may get lucky and get a break through right away but for an average person its tough. I'm also currently pursuing film making and restarted my RUclips channel. So far I'm like you, I end up creating videos for other people (Clients) because thats where my food comes while I'm still working full-time. I'm currently on the edge of quitting my job but still scared to make take the leap because of income instability specially with the recession we are going right now. Lastly, I also have this passionate dream of becoming an artist (Dancer & Singer) but only to find that it is expensive for me to pursue or even riskier as you said artists in the music industry is a hard path and most are broke. So theres that constant fear as well. With my new channel, I might actually just also do both. Film Making and music (because I just cant let that go as well). Thank you so much for this video. It reminded me again of my fundamentals and what I have to offer (uniquely).
Man ! The best thing to do is have enough money and have a solid plan. Know you can survive comfortably for atleast a year so you can give it your all. :) There is nothing worse than financial stress! + You can always get a part time job if needed - theres lots of options! It is expensive - but worth saving up for if its your passion, you wont regret it!!! Keep me updated on your journey man :) And all the best wit hit!

Hey Jamie! I loved watching your video and had a smile on my face toward the end when you said you wanted to pursue being a musician. I'm currently a videographer/photographer for Electronic Music artists and have toured across the U.S. a little with some artists for their shows. Maybe one idea I could give for you as a gateway into forming more connections and networkings with other EDM artists and the EDM industry is to shoot videos or photos for those artists since you're already so talented at content creation! This will give you a possible easier access to meeting more people backstage (i.e. artist, club, media, music venue managers) who could potentially help you further your goals into being an electronic music artist! I know how difficult and cut throat this industry is with upcoming artists so I'm here to wish you all the best of luck with everything and I know you can do it!! :D

Only to find premiere running like a dog 😂 Can’t keep my eyes open at work because I’m so bored yet can stay up all night editing. Great video and goodluck with the Music ✌️
Omg premiere hated me by the end of this project ! Dude keep going with the editing - you have definitely struck gold if you can go all night. I used to come back from my job after working 10 hrs and work until midnight editing so I know the feels. Those hours will pay off eventually :)

I can really relate to this as I did something similar where I was working a corporate job and would continuously think about my dream life... so I decided to quit and now create for a living although it has been very difficult as. you pointed out in the video. Hopefully my career can eventually pick up like yours. Loved the quality and story on this!

Thanks for sharing your story. I know life is never easy when you choose the path to become a full-time content creator. I was just like you who graduated from with dual master degrees in Structural Engineering and Engineering Management in Melbourne uni. Then I found my passion in filmmaking so I gave it a shot being as a content creator instead of finding a full-time job. I found so many inspirations along this journey such as you, Benn, Sam Kolder, Erik Hedenfalk etc, you guys are my mentors and had given me a lot of creative ideas on my projects. This video really resonated with me and I have been through all what you mentioned about being as a content creator in this video and it's tough sometimes. Now I'm trying to find a more blanced way to create content for myself while I can make a living with some commercial filming. I sincerely wish you and Benn can be great success in chasing your dreams and I hope we all can be pround of ourselves in the future. Also btw man, you are making great content and I enjoy watching them. Just trust yourself, follow your heart and keep it up. What if we get out dream job but still feel unfulfilled?
I think no matter what job we have, if we dont have connection and communication with our God/family/friends, we will always feel a void from my experience

Absolutely relatable and inspiring, money is such a big element when pursuing dreams. Some people may get lucky and get a break through right away but for an average person its tough. I'm also currently pursuing film making and restarted my RUclips channel. So far I'm like you, I end up creating videos for other people (Clients) because thats where my food comes while I'm still working full-time. I'm currently on the edge of quitting my job but still scared to make take the leap because of income instability specially with the recession we are going right now.
Lastly, I also have this passionate dream of becoming an artist (Dancer & Singer) but only to find that it is expensive for me to pursue or even riskier as you said artists in the music industry is a hard path and most are broke. So theres that constant fear as well. With my new channel, I might actually just also do both. Film Making and music (because I just cant let that go as well).
Thank you so much for this video. It reminded me again of my fundamentals and what I have to offer (uniquely).
Man ! The best thing to do is have enough money and have a solid plan. Know you can survive comfortably for atleast a year so you can give it your all. :) There is nothing worse than financial stress! + You can always get a part time job if needed - theres lots of options!

I'm currently a videographer/photographer for Electronic Music artists and have toured across the U.S. a little with some artists for their shows. Maybe one idea I could give for you as a gateway into forming more connections and networkings with other EDM artists and the EDM industry is to shoot videos or photos for those artists since you're already so talented at content creation! This will give you a possible easier access to meeting more people backstage (i.e. artist, club, media, music venue managers) who could potentially help you further your goals into being an electronic music artist! I know how difficult and cut throat this industry is with upcoming artists so I'm here to wish you all the best of luck with everything and I know you can do it!! :D
