Frostality To be fair, Radiant Dawn is a much older Ike and should have a more somber voice. But yeah, kinda unnecessary given that is Smash and not Fire Emblem itself.

They'll probably add Waluigi eventually as a fighter. Nobody expected Snake or Sonic. Or Simon and Richter. Or Piranha Plant. Or bayonetta. Or Cloud. Or Ryu. Or Ken. I think they're just having trouble deciding on a fighting style, since he's not really one to throw hands like Wario.

Kayle Mathew Comendador This game feels more like a “definitive version” instead of a port, like how you have in Pokémon games where they release 2 original games (Gold, Silver, diamond, pearl, ruby, sapphire etc.) and then later on they release a 3rd and more polished game with a ton of new content and quality of life improvements. (Crystal, platinum, emerald etc.) anyone that calls this a mere port seriously needs to get their eyes checked and understand it’s definition.

A good chunk of Smash players seem to have this random hate toward Fire Emblem for no reason other than it has more than 2 characters in the roster compared to a lot of other series and the art style of the games is similar to anime. For example they rave over every other small detail changed and then they called Ike's voice change "unnecessary" and literally prayed for Lucina to become a skin. Why not just let the fans of that series be happy with their change? I mean, I loathe the Bayonetta series with the wrath of 1000 suns but that doesn't make it okay to bash Bayo's little shooting noise difference and the appearance of Rodin. I think they're great changes and my friends will enjoy them. Yet the FE characters don't get that same courtesy for some reason. I really don't understand what made Fire Emblem deserving of such hate.
It's Time To CEASE The hate is the lack of variety. Plenty of people want a new Fire Emblem rep that isn’t a swordfighter. Because they all have swords, they generally feel very samey. Their movement speed is pretty consistent aswell. Robin is the only one that really branches away from this trend.
I do admit that they should include more diverse reps. There's some good potential for many non-sword users but sadly I believe that if our god Sakurai adds another FE character to the roster then these haters will start a revolt.

Mario has multiple completely changed taunts in giving a cool, over-the-shoulder thumbs-up and the hat toss around, and Charizard has a taunt where he flies in a tight loop then rawrs, looks really cool, just to name literally a few examples...
Some people call it a port because it uses an absurd amount of assets from smash 4. Plus its quite clear that this game is running on smash 4's engine. However, this is not a port. They changed the way that knockback is, added new techniques(dash cancel, air dodge), players cant run past eachother and some characters definitely got tweaks to their movesets. But you cant use the argument of "Everygame uses assets from its predecessors" excuse here because this game uses SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many assets from smash 4. Compare melee/brawl, brawl/smash 4. Now compare smash4/ultimate.
Am I the only one who's annoyed by the fact that the bald guy from the video saying "whatever, that's unnecessary, etc." to the small details made by nintendo? It just kinda bugs me when small details like that get undervalued, nintendo didn't need to do that but they put extra effort to make some fans happy, so yeah it kinda bugs me a bit when those things get undervalued. The moment I heard someone say "Goku", I had a bad feeling about this reaction. While I liked some of what you guys said, my gosh did some of you dump on so many awesome things in this Direct. EVERY character has its fans, including Mii Fighters. I'm glad they're back, and in fact I hoped they would. And you guys wanted Sonic removed? WTF?
The thing is that these people are competitive Smash players and Sonic has been a plague to the competitive scene with his overly simplistic strategy of spin dashing into an attack which was for some characters hard to counter because Sonic was just so overly fast. This eventually piled on to a lot of hate and saltiness, which is why he is shunned in the competitive scene by many and why the people here didn't like seeing him. The Mii Fighters were a pain to setup for tournaments and often slowed them down and due to the sheer power of Mii Brawlers (they were literally stronger than any other character) which is why they became quickly disliked as well.
I main Sonic to easily extract the salt from my opponents. If you can't compromise by using a different character or learn how to best counter him with the one you're on.. then that's kind of a you problem in the end. Just my take on it though.

I was thinking December was WAY to late, and they would release it early to bamboozle everyone, but I just remembered that they are adding EVERY single fighter back, with EVERY stage, PERFECTING the gameplay, and polishing ALL of the characters and stages. Plus maybe Subspace will be back, so that will take some time. (Sakurai please add subspace.)

They changed the way that knockback is, added new techniques(dash cancel, air dodge), players cant run past eachother and some characters definitely got tweaks to their movesets.
But you cant use the argument of "Everygame uses assets from its predecessors" excuse here because this game uses SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many assets from smash 4. Compare melee/brawl, brawl/smash 4. Now compare smash4/ultimate.

Am I the only one who's annoyed by the fact that the bald guy from the video saying "whatever, that's unnecessary, etc." to the small details made by nintendo? It just kinda bugs me when small details like that get undervalued, nintendo didn't need to do that but they put extra effort to make some fans happy, so yeah it kinda bugs me a bit when those things get undervalued. No hate, just stating my opinion, peace :D

I think they thought miis were accompanied with custom moves for each character. And Miis were broken in Smash 4 if you gave them the right build.

The moment I heard someone say "Goku", I had a bad feeling about this reaction.
While I liked some of what you guys said, my gosh did some of you dump on so many awesome things in this Direct. EVERY character has its fans, including Mii Fighters. I'm glad they're back, and in fact I hoped they would. And you guys wanted Sonic removed? WTF?
Sakurai HIMSELF even stated that he wanted Sonic in since Melee
The thing is that these people are competitive Smash players and Sonic has been a plague to the competitive scene with his overly simplistic strategy of spin dashing into an attack which was for some characters hard to counter because Sonic was just so overly fast. This eventually piled on to a lot of hate and saltiness, which is why he is shunned in the competitive scene by many and why the people here didn't like seeing him.
The Mii Fighters were a pain to setup for tournaments and often slowed them down and due to the sheer power of Mii Brawlers (they were literally stronger than any other character) which is why they became quickly disliked as well.
I main Sonic to easily extract the salt from my opponents.
If you can't compromise by using a different character or learn how to best counter him with the one you're on.. then that's kind of a you problem in the end. Just my take on it though.
I'm pretty sure anyone who wants characters cut is scum and should kill themselves.
