  • Still doing inspections and testing under Lightburn with the xTool F1 Ultra I purchased on launch day, but made this clip to address an issue expressed by other Lightburn users

Is it worth getting lightburn for the F1 ultra I am thinking about getting them both just wondering if I should and the video was great also thank you for explaining how to.

@@pamelajeansoriginals for Lightburn users, the F1 Ultra is a total waste of money, in my opinion. For the price, you can easily pick up a more powerful fiber laser and 20W blue laser machine. Probably have some extra cash left over too

Are the oddities in framing and such likely due to it behaving like a GCode laser even though it is a galvo? I have the original D1 so I use the speed and distance values all the time to move the laser and frame (Shoutout to the Devil1 giving me absolute positioning!) but those settings even being there don't make sense for a galvo, as you don't move that manually. I want to add an F1 Ultra, but I do all of my work in Lightburn and from what I am reading you only get like half the functionality if you don't use the XTool software, which is fairly disappointing.

@@badge3984 yes, it's all due to the F series not being a true galvo laser under Lightburn.
