This was very helpful, thanks for this tip. Was getting nervous about packing way more than we need without a laundry room. Our cruise is for 7 days so we definitely need to do laundry.
Great tip! I have never packed just carry on and I really do want to (hubby would LOVE if I could) so this might help. And these days with luggage issues, it makes me nervous.
I’ve always come home with more clean clothes than dirty. If I brought half as much and utilized the laundry it would be perfect! I have the laundry part done, now to figure out packing 😂
Just typed this in at 3am.....thank you....goin on our first cruise on the oasis of the seas in april of 2024 with a large group and I didnt want to ask them, that we will all wear our upside down pineapple shirts to see what fun awaits
I have yet to use Royal Caribbean's laundry service on a cruise ship. I have a long cruise coming up in November 2022. Maybe I'll make use of it then. Thanks for sharing.
We have cruised so many times and never used the laundry service until we did a back to back in January. It was so easy and thought the cost for the bag was reasonable. Makes packing for longer trips less stressful.
Not at all! They usually take all of our bags and put them in a larger plastic bag when we send more than one bag out. We’ve sent a lot of laundry out and never had a problem.
Tripple tip the steward who shared this hack! On my first Carnival Horizon cruise, my friend was having cabin issues. They were gracious giving us 2 comp dinners in the upsell restaurants. I winked and quietly asked the crew member can they throw in free laundry. We got it and I used my fists to try and shove enough funky laundry in one of those bags. Needless to say it was high comedy. My ham hands busted a cotple bags open. Next cruise I'm gonna roll the raunchy dirty laundry.
I just did this and when they returned my clothes, they returned it in 2 bags so I’m guessing they are gonna charge me twice. I was able to fit 32 items (a lot of socks and undies).
That’s so awesome! They won’t charge you twice. We always get two bags back for each bag they take from us. Our last cruise we sent out 2 bags and got 5 back. Lol

Thank you! I still overpack, but I’m getting better and the laundry is definitely a great option.
Leaving on Oasis tomorrow, thanks for the tip.

Oasis of the Seas is a great choice for a first cruise! Loved that ship and hope you all have a wonderful time. Enjoy
Awesome 😎 thank you!
You’re welcome!
I did this service with RC for the entire family it came to $25,458.88. A bit of a shock but we had clean cloth.
That’s quite an expense 😂 I’m currently packing for a 14 night cruise and going to cut back on luggage and utilize the laundry onboard.
WHAT? 25 thousand?????
Thinking that was a bit exaggerated or a typo 🤣

@@SiegleMedia How do you find out when the laundry special is?
@@jbob1548 it usually states in the cruise compass, or you can ask your room steward.
Thanks @@SiegleMedia
I would LOVE to do this, heard everything is washed and dried HOT/HIGH???? Have you had good results?
We use the laundry service on every cruise that is more than 5 nights. It’s always been great for us.
Wonderful! Thank you
Do you worry the top is open? I worry that it will dump when the room attendant has it and your laundry will get lost.

Honesty- this Suxx! Rather do my own ironning & laundry at my convenience
Same, but if the ship does not offer self serve laundry.....
Didn't it say shorts and tshirts? You have pants and shirts. Do they count?
I always write shorts/pants and the total number of them combined. Same for shirts/tshirts. 😀
