    P.S.: Chewing 2-3 cloves per day is a very good alternative to mouth washes. Cloves don’t eliminate the beneficial bacteria, and they contain a number of nutrients, too.

    For years, I took citrulline before working out to increase arginine. Last year it turned out that I am one of those rare people who get acute pancreatitis which the gastroenterologist figured out was probably caused by the citrulline. A thorough battery of tests and images ruled out anything dangerous and I recovered.
    This documentary helps me get the benefits of nitric oxide without risking pancreatitis. Thank you for your scholarship.

    Excellent presentation!
    Many years ago I stumbled onto a breathing technique that saved me from an imminent asthsmatic attack. The technique involved nasal breathing (and not the " in by nose and out by mouth" process that we had been taught). It was promulgated by a Russian Professor, Konstantin Buteyko, who specialised in respiratory ailments and believed ( to much criticism) that all our breathing ailments, such as asthma etc could be reversed by nasal breathing. Conversely, bad breathing resulted in "latent hyperventilation" and an inexorable degradation of health through the years.
    My first attempt at trying his nasal exercise astonished me. From streaming eyes, runny nose, tightness of chest, I found myself clear minutes later - something that had never happened in twenty years of suffering attacks. I have used the simple process of a few breaths with a pause upon each exhalation ever since and never had another incident.
    My query is: given that Buteyko may not have been aware of the nitric oxide benefits through nasal breathing, but was adamant that decades of poor breathing could lead to devastating respiratory dis-eases, is this not why nitric oxide levels diminish as one ages? IOW, lower NO levels over each decade might not be a "given", but can be maintained with nasal breathing being taught from a young age.

    • @tonyhughes7792
      @tonyhughes7792 Месяц назад +1

      I also practised Buteyko for a few months but found it hard going, my better half also worked with it, prior to that she had quite bad Raynaud`s, the Buteyko cured it. Having discovered NO through watching this brilliant presentation i`m working at increasing the NO with NO dump program and mouth taping at night. Something positive is happening in my body, i`m now 71 years of age.

    Man i feel like this should be 10 or more videos. I feel a little overwhelmed, but still a great sevice to the layman and utube audience. One video on foods would be good. One on breathing would be good. O think i need to rewatch this ten times then i might be able to start with one thing at a time to improve my nitric oxide.❤😂

    Thank you, thank you! Most of this information is over my head as a lay person but instinctively I know this is extremely important and I have to map out some type of plan on how to do this correctly and regularly. My dentist wants me to do a sleep study I've always had nasal breathing problems noticeable from teenage years where I can't smell well I'm now 70 with extremely high blood pressure.
    I'll start with the sleep study and try to incorporate the exercises that was suggested. Hope I don't have a deviated septum.

    Hi, I have been wondering if Chlorella and Spirulina are good sources of nitrogen for nitric oxide production.

    You didn't mention flouride tooth paste. Other posts have said it kills the healthy bacteria in the mouth. What do you say.

      My own research informs me that any fluoride will disrupt the mouth microbiome. Apparently it can take 4 days for bacteria to establish itself in a non fluoride environment.

      Excellent point. Also all bactericidal mouthwashes are terrible as they kill good and bad bacteria

    Something else improves nitric oxide and involves hyperbaric therapy. Spending two hours daily in a hyperbaric chamber for six months will increase bodily functions such as ED, heart function, oxygenating cellular function etc. It is a substantial way to improve one's health. It also can improve lifespan as extended therapy will increase length of telomeres... So it is promising for life extension as well....
