  • This one-pan roast leg of lamb is the easiest way to make a full roast dinner, using only one roasting tin. We add the veggies in at different times, to ensure everything is finished at the same time. The vegetables are roasted in the oil and the meat juices, so they taste divine!
This is one of the recipes from my book, Its all about dinner.

If you're the cook, just cook it and if they don't like it they can make a peanut butter sandwich . Catering to other peoples nitpicks is one thing but you have to cook for yourself as well. If you're not the cook, you better start learning.

My Mum was a butcher and I used to have all sorts of beautiful cuts of meat growing up as my Mum could buy larger portions and butcher them correctly. Now I'm older I hardly have Lamb anymore as I feel the price has absolutely skyrocketed, plus I can't save money on meat like my Mum did! This looks absolutely lovely, I might try with a smaller cut of meat as I'd only be cooking for me and my boyfriend. Maybe shoulder?

The potatoes needed to have gone in with the lamb - I can't see how any of those vegetables would have been cooked.

A great video and recipe but that lamb didn't come out of Tesco, Aldi or Lidl.
I haven't seen lamb like that since every high street had a proper butchers.
That isn't a criticism btw, Nicky.
It's just that a piece of lamb like that is beyond most peoples reach.
Supermarket meat is now devoid of natural fat which was half of the flavour - especially when it comes to making roasties.
The flavoursome fatty rind on steaks has also disappeared from supermarkets.
Where is all the natural fat going?
WE WANT OUR FAT BACK !

This is NOT an advert for Aldi...but we had a leg of lamb from there two weeks ago and it was delicious and tender. Of course, I followed a YT video to figure out how to cook the leg, as I am an ordinary fella.

    • @waynesmith9797

ABSOLUTELY AGREE 👍 about the fat it’s ALL cut off cuts of meat now leaving the meat tastless, you know the old saying “No fat no flavour “ well it’s Sooo TRUE

A bit disappointed with this recipe! Honestly think there’s only one way to do a proper roast. If you’re lazy enough to do it this way just because of the amount of pans, then go to a carvery!! Nikki you cook well but this is a shocker 🤦🏼‍♀️
