Thanks for a good video. There are large regional differences as well in DK. Much higher in Copenhagen area and Aarhus, but other cities with lower levels.

Thanks for the comment! You're right on the regional differences. It's a global pattern though that it in the big cities salaries are higher (and so is the cost of living), DK is not the exception 😀

    Excellent digest and delivery, Mario!
Great that you also did not overlook expat tax scheme, not that many people are aware of that.

I have a huge problem with the way you are talking about average. The average SALARY in Denmark is 43k. But's it's not earned by the average employee. Your statement is not correct. The average salary is completely skewed. I imagine you know of the gini coefficient. And while it's more flat in Denmark than a lot of other places, top 20% still earns 50%. And so. If you earn the 43k a month. you are in top 20% of earners.
And hopefully you see how misleading it is to say the average employee is earned by top 20% earners.
That's not what people are thinking, when they are thinking of average employee. They are thinking of somewhere between what most people earn aka mode. And the median pay - Taking everyone earning a salary on a line and asking the mid person what they earn.
If you want to talk about average employee, the best way to get it is probably (mode + median)/2.
Just to give you an idea of the "middle". Given payments are normally distributed. The 60% in the middle of earners, makes between 190k to 476k a year on average. That's somewhere between 15k, to 40k a month.
    Median makes 27.6k
The 20% around the middle, each decile makes 23,5k and 28.6k a month. 15k and 20k under your supposed average employee.
Just to give you the numbers from Cepos:
Deciles for earning the mark or more:
    1. decil (bund 10 pct.) 0
    2. decil 116.600
    3. decil 168.100
    4. decil 212.400
    5. decil 254.500
    6. decil 312.100
    7. decil 374.900
    8. decil 438.700
    9. decil 518.600
    10. decil (Top 10 pct.) 660.500
Decile for the average for the decile
    1. decil (bund 10 pct.) 49.300
    2. decil 144.900
    3. decil 190.800
    4. decil 233.800
    5. decil 281.700
    6. decil 343.600
    7. decil 406.300
    8. decil 476.200
    9. decil 579.800
    10. decil (Top 10 pct.) 1.136.400
    Numbers are from 2021 December

I guess the number you provided includes pension as well as subsidies from government because that is how the danish statistics office provides this data. Is that correct? The pension can be between 10-20 percent so that makes the number quite different if calculated in.

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  2 года назад +2

Yes, it includes pension. I quote from the government's site: "The average employee in Denmark earns DKK 43,487 per month before taxes. The amount includes pension and is calculated by the so-called standardised hourly earnings translated to a full-time monthly salary."

Hello Mario, just discovered you channel and i must say that this is really informative and well made. With that being said, i have a chalenge for you :)) How can a couple from Romania get to Denmark with only 1000 Euro and stay for at least one month untill they get a job there? Is this possible in some way?

    • @MarioScianHQ
      @MarioScianHQ  2 года назад +1

Tough! 1000 EUR for two is tricky - you likely need to get a room in a shared flat quite far, eat cheap, etc. Check in student groups/forums as they've that kind of budget and constraints.

Like i said and every body knows, when in reality they already made up their minds. But vacency websites -and sometimes hrm- enjoy publishing the job. Obviously from the unemployed person, not wanting to waste his time, the opportunity had better been unpublished. In particular small companies in the countryside, yes farmers too, tend to employ their mates. Seems with all the stimulation of 'starting ya own business' PtB fail to acknowledge this , the Care For Friends thing, which is different from let's say car manufacturer Ford in Genk. They a listed company, too large and us based, so won 't employ niece and nephews.
