      Numbers were staggering .
      So many drones flew that day , they blotted out the sun and allowed Sauron to return ending middle earth and beginning the age of Amazon .
      All hail the bezos .
      If only we had known what lay ahead .

    Here we have a 22 metres tall soldier statue making stop sign like that. From distance you can't tell how large it is so he doesn't look intimidating much. But as you keep getting closer he becomes larger and larger and you begin seeing details like the rifle in his other hand and serious look while warning you to stop. So it becomes quite intimidating, it was constructed at where the Greek army was stopped in 1921 who were trying to capture Ankara. That's why he makes stop sign as no enemy ever stepped foot after that point.

    I wouldn't say that Eldacar was the catalyst, that was just the excuse Castamir used, he and his were greedy for power that was the real reason, nothing more nothing less. Some of his supporters may have cared about the blood issue, but nowhere near all of them, and those that did it was in a 'he's lesser' because of it manner, not because of the belief the lifespan would shorten. Cos if it was truly about the risk of a shortened lifespan, they'd have waited to see if they lifespan actually shortened (which it didn't).
    Btw, you said 1800 years, but the subtitles say 2000, and there's a line in the subtitles that you didn't actually speak aloud.

      What's really odd to consider is that it is entirely probable that Gandalf knew the Balrog from their days as Maiar. Might have even been friends at one time.

      @@steffanreichenbach3124 the stuff is good, and I especially recommend Unfinished Tales, next to The Silmarillion , it's been out the longest, one of the first compilation of stuff that didn't get into the Silm but was very much on Tolkien's mind, and containing a really great story, "The Mariner's Wife", about a very pivotal era of Numenorean history. I won't say more, but it's a very good story, almost complete (if I recall correctly, it was nearly finished but it didn't fit into Silm, since the Akkalabeth was intended as part of that book, while this was older history of Numenor that didn't fit into the Downfall).
      Most of the rest are more for loremasters, like the History of Middle Earth series, or the most recent two books, the People of M-E and the Nature of M-E, but the two longest stories, Beren & Luthien and Children of Hurin have been reworked from the versions in the Silm, with variations and additions, so you can see from older drafts to close to final product. I'd go to the library to read some of these first, then decide if you need a copy for yourself. Enjoy!

    I am not sure the left hands held out means what he says, that it is warning or a stop and go back either. If the statues of the Kings were based on the Elvish hand gestures, it would be just the opposite I think - there is some information in one of the HOME books, it may Vol. X - when elves held out an arm palms out that meant it was okay to approach, if they did not wish to socialize they would do nothing at all. I hope that's right, been awhile since I read it.

      No, I was actually asking because I was doing my research. This study may be wrong. In general, until recently I did not have a search specifically for the zodiac. And many people hate this topic. I have no knowledge of it so I am not an expert. But according to my research, a large number of Tolkien fans are earth and water signs. Of course, we're not talking about math here. We are talking about relative things here. So, it always have exceptions here. But you may also have a Earth or water excedent. Or maybe not.Who knows.

    • @stanimirgeorgiev.87
      @stanimirgeorgiev.87 18 дней назад

      @@middleearthtales
      Eh, well that's idiotic for me to say, because it sounds really weird, plus there's a certain relativity, after all, we're humans, not machines, and we always have, more or less, mixed feelings, so as humans we never we are not overly categorical, as a calculator would be categorical, for example. But a basic explanation is that each zodiac sign has a specific level of vibration that affects each individual. This I have proven after research. People with people of the same zodiac sign or related zodiac signs get along well, while opposite zodiac signs, even though they have lived together for a long time or worked together, interpret the world in a different way, which often leads to scandals, arguments, and fights among themselves. Yes, we all see the world differently, that is unique to each individual. But vibrations, oscillations of codes that I call "zodiacs" make a person from one zodiac sign to be strongly distinguished from another zodiac sign. I repeat again, this is not just a zodiac sign. It's a combination. A specific person's personality remains a specific person's personality. Each individual is unique in himself and each individual is unique in himself. But there are certain patterns that repeat themselves and I've watched them for years and years and they're always there, so I'm not imagining these statistics that I've come up with. They are actually there. Tolkien was an earth sign and the way he sees the world often resonates mostly with personalities from his sign: Capricorn or signs from his earth family which are: Taurus, Virgo. Also close to earth which are Water: Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio. Of course Tolkien, like any other author, has many and varied fans from all over the world of all kinds of people. This is normal. But often times the biggest, craziest and most fanatical Tolkien fans were Capricorns and Virgos. Also Scorpio. You can even see, for example, directed by Peter Jackson. He says, "Oh, I have no interest in the Alien franchise." Because Jackson was invited as a possible director of Alien 4. But he flatly refused. But at the same time, Jackson is an absolute fan of Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings. Of course, this in itself proves nothing. Unless you know a lot of people from the same sign and from the earth sign who hate Alien, but are absolute Tolkien fans. Trust me, you'll rarely find an earth and water sign that loves H.P. Lovecraft or H.R. Giger's work.
      But like I said things are not absolute and there are always exceptions. Because an actor from the movie "Lord of the Rings", Christopher Lee, was a Gemini zodiac in the Gemini zodiac and was crazy about Tolkien's work and especially "Lord of the Rings". So this statement of mine can be relative. But not if one doesn't have my studies. You, for example, as a Gemini, try a Dune book. Also try H.R. Giger's work and Alien:1 and 2 and you see how they will affect you. Also H.P. Lovecraft works and tall me (hahahaah) how you fill about these things. Do you love them or not. Do they affect you strongly or not so much, etc.
