Lavender is toxic to cats tho I am obsessed with anyting calming and lavender but I had to stop using it cuz everybody would freak out on me saying that I will kill my cat's if I continue to use it
Yes! Lavender contains linalool and linalyl acetate, which cats cannot process in their livers. This means that consuming too much lavender can lead to liver damage. Which makes me question the validity of everything he says. I still look everything up afterward. And fish oil intake needs to be monitored. Side effects, particularly at high doses, can include diarrhea, vomiting, delayed wound healing, sleepiness, a fishy odor to the breath or skin, increased itchiness, or an oily coat and skin flakes. Discontinuation of the supplement should resolve these side effects. In cats, changes in blood clotting can occur. Serious side effects include persistent stomach upset, inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), abnormal bleeding or bruising, or heavy metal toxicity characterized by appetite loss, incoordination, or seizures. People need to realize because i sounds “natural” or good to humans certainly doesn’t mean it’s the best route for their pet. I’d do research and find a specific high quality one formulated specifically for cats as well. @@corinalaney7920

Cats metabolize them differently - I have seen them work well when diffused, and they applied topically in a very dilute form. Also many, such as tea tree are best to avoid in cats
Hi Dr Jones, My vet also recommended me the fish oil for my cats dandruff. He told me to mix it with her dry food although she munches on that all day so I was thinking of putting it in her wet food instead like you did. She eats wet food twice a day. My vet told me to start with one capsule and then two if she tolerates it. Would putting one in her morning wet food be good? And then perhaps moving it to the second capsule in her dinner wet food?
Very helpful my cat references to eat wet he's a mancon cross gromed him today and it was like someone had bored flower over him. Freaked out went vet and its just dandfuth.
How long would it take to see results following a protocol like this? I have two cats that are really challenged with itchy skin and the vet wanted to put them Atopica which after reading about I don't feel good at all about giving it to them.. they aren't taking much fur off but they are chewing and itching a lot and some barbering on the feet which is concerning.. feeling kind of desperate as this has been going on for a few months and I can't seem to make a big difference via diet and foods..one vet recommended Royal Canine and that seemed to make them both worse, now I have them on an all fish diet with a lot of fish oils and some allergy supplements, and did a 10 day dose of steroids, but the issue is coming back now that the steroids are not being used..

@@VeterinarySecrets I have salmon oil capsules that my vet said was ok to give to my cats. I empty one into a little bowl One cat loves it and licks it up as is.... the other one (with the dandruff problem) hates the smell of it and won't eat it, so I... rubbed it into the back of her neck, which was way too much x,x I then tries to brush it all over her to try to spread it, she was so mad x.x I started wipping her fur with a moist bounty quicker picker upper cloth, which she liked, but the scent was still there. A few days later, it was finally not strong anymore, but it was forcing her to clean herself and her fur feels 100x better now and she's happy about it. I think I'll just put it on her paw, in a small area, which would be easier for her to clean and injest it.

Hello is your cat eating on a plastic bowl? Sometimes cats are very allergic to anything plastic, it may cause them feline acne. Stress is a factor also. Hope your cat feels great.
I have 2 cats, both are finakey eates, the calico has long hair and eats nothing but hard food, past couple of weeks her hair got really matted on her hind quarters , i had been brushing her before all of this , any way i had to have my son hold her while i got the matted hair untangled and brush her i had abt 3 big handfull of hair , just as you showed in your video, i seen lots of light tan or yellow looking like dandruff on her , its just on her hind quarters, i give her revoluation drops , so i know no mites or fleas , so im thinking this is her problem so going to try the coconut oil unrefrined on her hair and try to get her to eat it , if not im lost , i may spend lot of money on canned food, as she just wont eat it , guess ill be out big bucks hers as vets are expensive, any other suggestions would help otherwise a trip to the vet is next, thanks for the video , very helpfull

Hi, I am a few weeks new to your channel and I am in awe. Catching up with all your videos I see a pattern of natural remedies. My dog (yorkie 4 years) has the most severe allergies. His vet pushed apoquel and steroid shots but the effects wear off so quickly and hes right back to the vet. He rips up his ears, inner arms, under eyes and butt and tail. It is so frustrating and I switched vets with no luck. He is on a strict diet (just food for dogs) but nothing is helping. His eyes are covered in yeast and his hair under his eyes is gone. I need help please! I have exhausted all my resources and I frankly dont trust vets anymore. They push for pills and shots and I express how much it does not work! Please help me!
Hi and Thanks. I would suggest 1st get the allergy under control with steroids if needed, and do a proper food trial - unique protein/carb ( ie fish sweet potato) and nothing else for 6-8 weeks. Then get on higher dose of EFA"s, 95% curcumin, licorice tincture as needed
My cat has a bad case of mange. These knots are forming, like clumps of his fur along with dandruff flakes. It looks so uncomfortable. I'm trying to tease them off him, and I have been able to get quite a few off but they keep forming! Got to get some of that supplement.
9:50 I use Doterra yet FYI all people use only quality non chemicals oils with pets. Also I think it’s great to use essential oils but I have a humidifier that has stickers on it that says to not put the oil in the tank I think it does something to the workings. In the back of the humidifier it has to push out with felt pads that I can put essential oils on I like it in the water more.

Is there more oils in can cat food versus dry food
Thankyou for your advice. extremely grateful. Ali from Australia
hello dr jones i have 2 cats both have a dry skin and hair loss lot i try to fish oil but my cats don,t like fish lol what can i do
How long would it take to see results following a protocol like this?
Hi Dr. Jones,
Where do you get the cat grooming comb from?
Dr. Jones, I find vmyself in search of a cribbing deterrent that is safe and effective for my horses.
,preferably one I can formulate from available materals. Any ideas?
Thank you so very much Dr for the information!!
Most welcome
Question 🙋♀️ where how do I buy the supplement?!!
Toothpick works great to pierce the capsules, but pierce more than once.
That’s a good tip!
I've been using olive oil to help with poops...?
I have 2 snow shoe siamese brothers and they both have dandruff, Tom have it more then his bro Jerry. They are stay at home and I groom them on regular basis. Bathing ones every 6 months, brushing and even using Burt's Bees for Pets Cat Natural Dander Reducing Spray. I have take them for regular check ups so I know they don’t have any underline health issues. Tom is a little bit overweight. I have tried to give them wet food but they refuse to eat it. They drink a good amount of water. I also tried giving them fish oil but they hate it. Is there anything else I can try ?
What’s the name of the wet cat food in this video?
What about a greasy streak down my cats back. Seen this in my other cats too. They eat good food both kibble and wet. Dont onow what I'm doing wrong.
Is it safe if you feed them onece a day of vitamin but 3 diffirent kind? So 3 kind of vita in total.
My 14 yr old 3 legged cat Kiki has been NONSTOP rubbing her chin on things and wanting me to itch her chin. I thought at first it was bcuz she couldn’t itch that spot real well bcuz of her missing her back right leg. But my other cat has bad dry skin soo I bought 3 humidifiers and now I think I’m gonna try the coconut oil for her chin.
Thank you. Subscribed 😊🐾
Just used a cleaned pin to poke a hole in capsule and squeeze out.
Great tip, thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you :-)
Great video! Thanks from New Zealand.
You’re welcome! Hope it helped.
This was awesome, thank you! gonna give them a shot.
Let me know how it goes!
This is great info. My cat who is 14 has problems itching on the skin even after she eats. I was hoping it wasn’t the Sheba food. It has chicken flavor and turkey cuts.
Junk food use only Merrick, nulo, hi protein low carb.. ur feeding by products iff slaughter floors, carrageen, poison 🙏❤️
thx for the info and have a great day. and murry you were great.

I’m going crazy I have taken my cat to the vet three times each time it’s over 500 and still no solution for my cats acne. They gave me blue surgical scrub? I’ve been trying everything mostly witch hazel but I’m exhausted 😩 I clean her face and ears (mites) which they said they did too.? Twice a day and it seems to be getting worse than ever. I have other cats only one that seems to hate her because he jealous because of the cleaning I think ? Lol please help
Thankyou so much for sharing your knowledge.❤️🙏
What if your cat absolutely refuses to eat ANYTHING but dry food? (I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on “super-premium” canned foods and she won’t touch them.)
Try buying just the broth. Most cats will lick it up:)
So helpful! Thank you!
You're welcome.
Thank you so much for replying! I appreciate it so much!
Sir how many eggs can I feed a stray cat in a day.
Please guide me sir
My cat has a bad case of mange. These knots are forming, like clumps of his fur along with dandruff flakes. It looks so uncomfortable. I'm trying to tease them off him, and I have been able to get quite a few off but they keep forming! Got to get some of that supplement.
How do i go about adding moisture to the air if I have an outside cat and already live by the coast??
Thanks for your videos. You’ve helped me so much.
I'm so glad!
Please upload something for gingivitis. Please?
Great suggestion- I shall this month

Thanks for the reply!
I started toothpaste for cats ( only one brand is available in India) since last week. But the redness doesn't seem to go😟
I'm really worried for my babies.
Although my vet gave me assurance that for sure it'll recover but it takes time.
Your videos have helped
a lot to my cats since I never intended to get a pet and they came accidentally in my life and i had no knowledge about cat or dog in general.
Your remedies are the only thing that i look upto.
Sorry for long comment, but i really wanted to thank you a lot. ☺
Hmm... my cat with epilepsy and gluttony has really bad year round dandruff, does anyone know if any of these methods would be bad for her?
Thank you for the tips!!

What do I do if my dog is allergic to my cat
do you think that cdb oil does any good for cats with kidney failure or heart failure
allau snackbar CBD can’t cure kidney disease. However, it can reduce the symptoms and improve the quality of life for cats.
yeah, i didnt know if it made work for the kidneys harder because of it being cleared from the system or not @@lilchi721

Can this be a genetic condition-my female cat had very dry lower back skin, dandruff and very sensitive nd flaky-and now-he kitten has it-he's now grown and has the same issue. I have other cats-who all have the same dry and can food diet-and they are fine..
only my female cat and her kitten-have this!..Her kitten developed this very same problem early too-same place..
as a kitten..reason i ask if it can be a genetic thing.
If the dandruff is not seasonal, it could possibly be some form of allergies or immunity problems. Please have it checked with your vet.
I have eight cats all of them stop eating there friskier can cat food there not sick I wonder if they changed the recipes or if this is normal.
Hi I've notice my 2weeks old kitten has dry skin in her foot

Hi Andrew,
My dog had a litter 11 weeks ago....from say week 7 she is losing her fur around her ears (not bald) it's like she is moulting...any advice? Been to vet and she said nothing to worry about (since been spayed). No fleas mites or anything.
Susan Mcgachie please stop breeding man , come on
You are probably stressing your dog out by letting it get pregnant. It’s a lot of stress got anyone . Pls get your dog spayed
Doesn’t anybody read the whole note...she said the animal is spayed now....why make people feel worse then they already do...how do you know it’s not just this one litter? Wow, man get a grip!!!!
That MUSIC dooeee...
I thought essential oils were toxic to cats?
You are very handsome :).
