.... I need an intervention!
I carry way too many flies .... BUT I CAN'T STOP! 😊
I am enjoying the Alberta content big time.
Cheers!
It's tough for sure...I was once the same, always thinking I needed something different...after a lot of on stream therapy, I have now trimmed down to about 25 types of flies in different sizes. Its hard work HA HA, but you can do it.
great vid as always thanks for the list. this should me enough work for Christmas gifts. guess what the brother inlaw gets for Christmas . lol I have to thank you. the blue wing olive caught me a 23 1/2 inch brown trout on the bow this year. thank you very much
willhe47 Wow that's awesome! So glad it worked for you and that you have some gift ideas! As always thanks for watching!
Hey Kirby, I love the idea of this video. Think I'm going to have a crack at a similar concept myself, our season is just starting here so it might be a few months before the video is ready. Of course it will mean hard yards on the river, but I'm sure i'll struggle through... Cheers, Craig
Craig Mounsey HaHa, it’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta do it! The “roughest” part is all the video review to get the fish count. Have a great season. I’ll look forward to your videos and results.
Nice wee vid👍🏻

Greetings from Dirk in the south of France 🇫🇷
Greetings from Alberta Dirk! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!
Time to hit the vice!
Same here...gotta start stocking up for next season!
Great video. Love the stats. I've been reading more about emergers, seems like the stats support more emerger fishing, which isn't as fun as big dries, but I'd rather catch more fish.
I feel exactly the same way...I want to catch more fish! Most of the time though the rise for an emerger is just as exciting as the rise for a dry...its just harder to see the fly on the water.
Kirby, great vid! I have been fly fishing and tying for a year now. I'm based in Ottawa. Are you fishing mostly the east or west part of the country? Also, your vise looks righteous - which brand and model is it, if you don't mind.
Hi Nicole. Thanks for watching and subscribing. Yes I fish almost exclusively in southern Alberta. The vise is called The Apprentice and it is by Renzetti. Hope the fishing out your way is good this summer! Tight Lines!
Thanks - three more weeks with my arm in a sling - shoulder surgery. Ah! I have heard of Renzetti! Take care and many takes!
The intro view of the stream - does not look real it's so perfect.
Michael Phillips I know right? Such a pretty place. Mother Nature can sure make some amazing places.
