He's right. 2012-2014 was not only peak TF2, but also peak gaming. It was a golden age for gamers. And TF2 stood at the top. The only thing the community was complaining about to devs was that too many noobs are playing the game. Like seriously, the only problem with the games was that there are more players playing the game. No bots ruining games, no endless microtransactions, no bug issues and system issues. It truly was the best time.

I agree with broad idea of it. Not 100% of course, but it’s not vastly wrong. Maybe a marginal error of 1-2 tiers for some of the better games.

If you have forgive my ignorance, I only found Jerma in the past 5 months so I've been catching up lmfaO.
I think Jerma needed the tiers to be more like, "Adore, Love, Like a Lot, Like, Indifferent, etc." Instead of whether the game is good or bad because it's hard to put games in a tier list that you know is objectively pretty good but you didn't necessarily enjoy.
That would make his tier list inoffensive and bland. The games he think are bad and good are games he thinks are BAD and GOOD. Sorry he didn’t like Tetris buddy.

@@shnouth5391 eh, for games like warframe(which are MMOs that require a lot of time) its not really right to outright call it "bad". Some games are just a slow burn and you cant really call them bad either

As some one who has put 760+ hours into warframe, I cant tell if I 100% agree with him or 100% disagree with him

also also archeology stream setup was amazing i was half convinced that actually happened for a few seconds
Portal is a very claustrophobic and a lonely game especially the first one where the only character you can interact with is an ai and when you meet him face to face you just kill him, is very different than any valve games like half life where you can interact with other human

Jerma would probably hate Outer Wilds. I can already see him forgetting to read a single line of text that's really important in the beginning, going to meteor and learning how everyone died and assuming he just solved the story early, and then getting pissed at constantly dying from ping ponging against walls and having to spend the entire late-game sitting at a camp fire for up to 5 minutes at a time just so he can use the warps.

the part where jerma hits his elbow while telling the advent children story and somehow improvs it into the narrative had me rolling holy shit
Team fortress 2 was so good. Really breathed life into first person shooters. From the polished classes, the meet the series, the voiceline between characters organically just happening and so on.
Overwatch tried and did nothing with what teamfortess 2 layed out for games to follow. Couldn't even come up with their own gametypes. Apex Legends is my successor for tf2 at the moment but god I wish it wasn't a BR.
Bloodborne just below tf2 makes complete sense to me even with BB being a more enjoyable game today.

There needs to be a “I gave it a shot but it’s just not for me” tier if your gonna rate videogames. For instance if there is a game everyone considers to be the best RTS game of all time, and you the rater gave it a try, but realize you just don’t like RTS’s then it’s unfair to call the game bad.

Same. Nothing else even comes close. I play a lot of games, and then I'll be done, or get bored, or hate it. Not with TF2. I have taken breaks and gotten bored, but I ALWAYS came back. TF2 really is just something else.
