I wish people would quit donating to goodwill and find a cause that doesn’t line the Owners pockets to a salary of over 2 million a year. There are so many good charities to help with donations that truly are in the business to help others.
Goodwill does a TON of free work to help people learn new skills to make them employable, plus they also employ people that might not otherwise have a job.... Goodwill is not a bad organization.
@@suzannezehner8866 I beg to differ. They teach people to run their cash registers. The man who owns Goodwill makes millions of dollars a year and they are in no way a charity! If your house burns down and you don’t have a single item left they don’t even care and they won’t help. Salvation Army will give you a voucher for hundreds of dollars to shop in there store for clothing etc. Goodwill is NOT a good company at all!!
I'm glad you told us the name of the artist. I couldn't make anything out. Just sqiggles for me. That colour looks amazing on you. Hope you had a great Mother's Day.
for the afghan if you are afraid the reds are going to run, buy Color Catchers at WalMart in the laundry section. The are sheets you put in the wash (and you can wash that on cold water cycle and gentle). These sheets catch the colors that bleed - works amazing!!! I am a quilter and use these all the time to wash my quilts.
But...wait.. Did I miss how much those paintings were? Guess I'll be going back in to watch again. Lol. I really enjoy when you find a really GOOD find because you can hear it in your voice. 😀.
When I stack or shelf framed art, like your 4 Wylands, even for a short transport, I put the first 2 pieces front face to front face, then add the 3rd back to back (and so forth) so the hanging hardware on a back never scratches up the glass or frame on the adjacent piece. Takes no more time, but can save a frame or glass from being scratched.
Regarding the granny square afgan - I have washed them in cold water/gentle cycle and dried on a low temperature. But do not crowd the dryer. You want it to fluff up in the dryer. They've always turned out beautifully. Now if you decide to have it dry cleaned, be sure your dry cleaner understands you want it dry cleaned and not washed. Most people don't know that cleaners do have washing machines on site. If you're concerned about the red color running, I recommend color run remover sheets. FYI - I owned a coin ldry for 15 years and did fluff n fold for just about all of them.
OOOD SCORE ON THE WYLAND I BOUGHT A PUECE OF HIS ART WHEN I DID THE PANAMA CRUISE COST ME 1500.00 DOLLARS THAT WAS ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO WORTH LOT MORE KNIW CHECK THE INSIDE OF FRAME THERE MAYBE PAPERS THERE.
I would wager that the granny is acrylic. It will be fine in the washer. Just be sure there's nothing that it can snag on. If you can find one of the yarn ends, snip a tiny piece off and burn it (somewhere safe.) If it smells like plastic it's acrylic, like paper it's cotton or like burning hair it's wool. Glad you had a great mother's day.
In my home town, Bundaberg, Queensland Australia, Wyland painted a huge mural of a whale on our original (the city's first) highrise building. Still there.
@@TheNICHELady apparently they (Wyland Walls) are all over the world! How cool. :) I remember how big a deal it was when it was first happening...almost as exciting for our little city as finding those prints was for you! ;) xx
There is a thing called “color grabbers” they will keep the red’s from running and they really work. I use them all the time. I can even wash red socks with a white sheet and I still have a white sheet when I’m done. 😊

So we stopped at a Goodwill and an antique mall. Lots of Fenton and I found American Brilliant. I am trying to learn all the things lol! I’m not a seller just a collector.

So funny...the minute the camera hit the cart I said Wyland. I've done a lot of shopping in Laguna Beach.😁 Happy Mother's day....now you have Wyland's.
Amazing finds! I learn so much from you. You’re living my dream which I’ll fulfill in 8 years when I retire. I should have a fantastic inventory by then. Love love love your content! Best from CO.
Love this one! My mom told me to buy some of those plates even if there’s only one because when she goes to visit somewhere she always bring something on it and let them keep it as their gift. You would be surprised how many times get asked back to their house! Lol!
Catching up on missed videos and when you asked" if you know who this artist is?" I knew right away. Ms. Danni you would like the unframed, AP,signed and numbered print of "Ocean Calling" with COA I found at a GW here in Ohio. I have it listed way below value waiting for the right buyer to adopt it.

Wow Danni. We are so fortunate out here in the west to still find great bargains at our goodwills. Did you see our Goodwill video from Tuesday? I found a granny square afghan too and an unbelievable crazy quilt! Love watching your channel always.
