I had a parakeet named Pretty Boy ! Would sit on my shoulder and repeat his name .
Had a parakeet named Charlie who also talked! I had to move in with my mom for a few months while I was in between houses and unfortunately? my pre-teen cousins taught him a naughty word! lol Then my MOTHER inadvertently taught him one too - he would get to squawking when he heard the kitchen door opening as someone would come into the house an my mom would say "Give em HECK Charlie!" (but she used the OTHER H word) and he learned THAT too! He and I were only there for like 2 months but he picked up a LOT of new words and phrases there!
Grandma had a parakeet who would whistle Mayberry RFD song everytime someone came in the front door..lol

At 25:15 the cherry decorated planter is the bottom half of a violet planter. The lower half is a water reservoir. The holes is where the water would have been added. The part that's missing held the violets and the soil.
The bottom of the inside part wasn’t glazed so the violet wouldn’t get over watered. I made several of these in the 80’s in ceramic class. Wish ceramic classes were still a thing!!
Good eye! That would be it as I remember you can't get the leaves wet on the African violets. But our planter didn't have that so I had to be careful watering for my mom. 😁🤗👍

the pot with the holes in the side are not for a handle - it is a planter for violets and a smaller pot goes inside for the plant. You add water through the holes and it seems up into the violet as they need to be watered bottom up.
You guys are smart! We didn't have that but it would of been great because you can't get the violets leaves wet.

The cherry planter is incomplete… it has an insert which is what you grow African Violets in . The holes are for watering.

The dish with the cherries on it and the holes on the side is a African violet planter. It is missing the center part
I can’t believe you left the Toucan mugs! They were adorable.
Must of been too expensive she did have a toucan mug in her live sale a couple of weeks ago that sold, maybe that is why too.

That was a great haul considering there wasn’t a lot to really choose from. Great eye for value!! I hope your daughter had a very happy birthday. My mother used to do the very same thing to me on my birthday as I was born in the late afternoon. The rest of my siblings were born in the wee hours of the morning so they were out of luck!! Just lost my mom and that tradition as well. Sweet memories Bougie is too cute. Hats off to Noah for all he does with your videos!!!! God Bless
So sorry for your loss, maybe you can make new traditions to include the sweet memories of your mom. I lost my father almost 9 years ago and even though it's never the same, we still hold his sweet memories close as we miss him dearly. 🤗

Hi Dani and family,
I believe the white pot with the cherries on it is a flower pot for African Violets. The insert pot is missing. The bottom would be porous and the side holes on the bigger pot are for pouring water into. The insert pot absorbs the water and waters the plant from the roots up…helps to keep water off the leaves…since African Violets leaves don’t like getting wet.

Hi, Danni. Love watching you and your little family thrift shopping. Happy bd Jordan. A little belated. Danni, you always cheer my 81 year old self up. I am going to my Oncologist for an iron infusion tomorrow and not looking forward to that. I was diagnosed with myodisplacia about 2 years ago and taking shots and blood work every friday. What a bummer. I would love to have one month off but my energy tanks out so i must get treatments. Enjoy freedom while you have energy and time. Stay safe.

Super Score on the bronze tigers! I found a Miss Priss teapot in the wild on Thursday. She had a little chippy on the base and minimal repair work around the opening which the lid covers. 5 buck's. Score!

The planter that you Picked up with a hole on each side was an African Violet planter. But it was missing a part. The holes are to refill the planterit with water and the part that you were missing was the actual planter pot that is unglazed so that the Violet can soak up water in it's good time. It was not a keeper. If you see a planter that is glazed but has fairly large open places on the sides, that is an orchid pot. Orchids grow best if the roots are able to get some air, which they cannot do and an enclosed planter.

It might be your picture quality for the focusing, you could try changing it from auto to 720 in the settings, while Danni can try to remember as turning to pan slowly? Too bad you can't come to the Live shows as this Monday is her Live Thrifting at Dog Junkies so you can buy right off the shelves. It will be at 1pm pst/4pm EST. 🤗😁
