Amazing pedal. If you hide the lead 12 everyone would believe you play thru a plexi. Fantastic dynamics and definition but also thick. Just perfect. Great job! Happy new Year. Its a shame it got so little views so far. Beats every "marshall style overdrive" by far
I just bought a Marshall AVT-50-2000 for 175$ at my local pawn shop and added a Metropoulos Supa-Boost for 175$ from Warehouse Speakers and now I am in the Plexi-Zone for 350$. Thanks George for using the 12 watt Marshall on this demo to give me the idea and Great Sound!!!
I don't know if you are familiar with Friedman Amps or not, but I have a Friedman BE-50 Deluxe Tube Amp. Do you think that this Supa-Boost Pedal, will make it sound more like a Plexi-Amp?
My first Marshall was a lead 12 when they came out. Searched gear deals in the papers finding stuff to trade up n up Marshalls one step at a time. The quest ended with my 2204 then later added a 68 plexi supatrem. Both are modded for great sounding high gain at any volume, but need a boost for leads if set in an ideal volume knob clean up gain range..... So always looking for a better boost. Got real excited seeing a Metropoulis built pedal, cause it's gotta be tuned for plexis... A LEAD 12 DEMO??!!! Wtf was that for? I kept watching waiting for a real demo n trying make sense of it. Afterwards i saw theres a bunch of other demos, but I was more compelled to rant about this nonsense than watch. Lol
George, I have a Friedman BE-50 Deluxe Amp. If I were to buy this pedal from you, could it be used on all three of my channels, to make them sound more plexi? My first channel, being the Buxom Betty Clean Channel....2nd channel being the BE Gain Channel, and 3rd channel, being the HBE Channel. Basically, can this pedal be used on my clean channel, to give me plexi tone, from clean to mean, and be used on my second and third gain channels, to make them sound more like high gain plexi channels. I was thinking that it would be alot less expensive, to buy this pedal from you, if it can do what I want, opposed to sending Dave my amp, and having him take out the Buxom Betty Clean Channel, and replace it with his Smallbox Plexi Channel, which can go from Clean to Mean, like he has on his new Friedman BE-100 Deluxe Amps? Hi Sonny, the Supa-Boost will work on all three channels. Each will benefit from more harmonics and will be pushed. How they break up remains to be heard. In general, I would say yes the SB will make them all sound more like a cranked old plexi.
