I just got back from a few days in Shipshewana. I shopped in several of the quilts stores there. I discovered that none 2:21 of them are as great as AIS. I REALLY mean that. Thank you for being so wonderful.

For Peter and Capi: in Mexico we call the flowers “Noche buena” because they always bloom around Christmas Eve! They are native from Mexico and the original name given by the locals before the Spaniards was cuetlaxochitl. The American ambassador introduced it into United States around 1825 and his last name was Poinsett, so he named them after him 🤔

Okay so next time I see you I need to commit to memory the local name cuetlaxochitl. Again, why am I just now finding out about this! Thank you so much for writing this! So I had to read the story about cuetlaxochitl. That is beautiful.

It's so good seeing you again, Capi and Dawn! Everyone was away and on vacation! I hope everyone had a great time wherever they were. Welcome back!
My parents were raised between the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest, we all said an r in the second syllable of sherbet. I've retrained my pronunciation the last 15 years or so to not say it. And I say poyn-set-a. I cringe when I hear peony pronounced with a long o! Also, a TV master gardener that my parents and I used to watch pronounced fuschia as fyoos-keea 🙉 😬. He HAS to be the only one in the world to do so. 😄
All of the new Christmas prints are ohhh so pretty! Y'all are schemers! Betty's "yippee" at The Grinch 😂 Arctic Fun batiks! 😮😮 Love the dog sled print!

You have me laughing reading your comments!!! So fun. I hadn't thought of putting a long o in peony! These are great!

Sorbet does not have dairy. Sherbet contains dairy.
