Crazy thing is that the gearing can probably do it 😭 I don't know much about the c7s but I know the C6 is around 1200 RPMs at 60 MPH in 6 the gear
@@flexnlexus129 Yeah...I have no doubt this car could easily cruise at 200 mph. It wouldn't quite attain that speed in a quarter mile drag race, but surely would before it went a mile. I'm guessing it might reach 210 or 220 after a minute.
I'm no expert, but the stats on Cleetus's car seem consistant with other cars I've seen doing that. I'm also guessing it would be comparable to Leroy if configured for a drag race...maybe around 8.5 seconds at 165-170 in the quarter. But they'd probably have to make other modifications to race it that way.

If I recall correctly, Texas Speed tells people to break them in “how they’re going to be used”... idk if they anticipated ol’ Cleet’s ability to scatter an engine 😂
@@tahiatt1 Uh yeah, they do for sure. I'm willing the bet they have at least 2 427's ready and waiting for him. And yeah, TSP recommends breaking in as it's driven. Heck they even "recommend" making 7 second passes with 2 blown head gaskets and no coolant!

I remember when I had a 1998 GTI-VR6 with two different centrifugal supercharger kits on it, and I had belt problems all the time. If the belt wasn't slipping, then it was shredding itself randomly, or the tensioner pulley was self destructing (taking the belt with it). I came to *hate* belt driven superchargers. I set out on a 800 mile drive one time with my tools in the back. 100 miles into it, tensioner pulley failed and killed the belt. Beside the road, I removed the entire S/C kit and returned the motor to stock in about 90 minutes and continued on with my trip.
