Can anyone help me to understand a question from "Biomolecules" which I learnt from Dr. Akansha Agarwal ma'am. My question:- Dr. A.A. Ma'am said that "protein" is the most abundant biomolecule and "O2" is the most abundant element. So is "O2" not a biomolecule? And what's the difference between elements and biomolecule?
I may be wrong. But listen , Protein , carbohydrates , amino acid , lipid , nucleic acid etc are the example of biomolecules . All the bio*molecules are "organic compounds". And all the organic compounds are made up of "carbon" and "hydrogen". On the other hand , oxygen (O2) is just *molecule i.e. a element.
