That was an oddly satisfying race to watch. Really nice read of the packs, keeping cool. How did I watch two seemingly unrelated Formula Vee POV videos where the driver is haunted by a blue and yellow car that they can't make a pass stick? Anyway. I want a Formula Vee, but for now I just live vicariously through these videos.
Do you have the same size engines? They seem to blow right by you pretty easy.Oh I see now, there are three classes of cars. It's also just as tricky in real driving as it is in iRacing these cars. But I don't have to be brave to do it. Haha.
If you know vw engines then you know they are not great accelerators and there isn't a great deal of top end either. This is nothing but skill! Nobody can pull away and if you get knocked back it's very difficult to catch back up with the pack, the only way to gain lead is in and out of the turns.

Don’t know if you’re into sim racing, but iRacing will be adding a Formula Vee in a couple days, and Automobilista 2 has one from Brazil.

What's the shifting like in an FV? I can see part of the shifter, is it sequential? H pattern?
H Pattern 4 speed. You do the vast majority of the driving in 3rd, you very rarely use 2nd or 4th, and 1st only for launches.

Gawd I love Formula Vee. Nice race, just sit there and sit there. Last lap, last corner, sitting second, and draft by for the win. LOVE IT!
How do you get into Formula Vee?
Hard to watch, very timid driver
Feet first. :-)
Go make some money. You'll need that talent to get into any type of racing.
First thing is to go to some SCCA events and see if you're really into it. If so then think about renting a vee for SCCA drivers school.
