This is so much more fun than watching F1! Crazy to see all the bump drafting going on. Absolutely amazing drive! Can only dream of one day competing in a race like this!
You can try a driver's school to see if you enjoy it. However, it is like a gateway drug and once you're hooked, the majority of your waking hours will be consumed with it. It was a GREAT way to spend my 20s and early 30s (ITA & SSC), but no way could I do it now. Thanks to Jordan for posting this video. AWESOME!
The algorithm blessed me with this video. Speaks volumes of the sheer work behind the wheel and among competitors mid-race. Content like this puts into perspective what any livestream/broadcast can't: the volume of action going on in the driver's seat. What a recovery drive to finish P9. Thank you for this video for sure!
Brother, you got punted! Glad you at least caught up and passed that dude that punted you. That was some awesome racing! Congrats on a great drive & recovery!
Nice drive Jordan - sorry to see you get punted off. Your instincts are good, but strategy still needs work. You are always welcome to reach out to me if you want a blow-by-blow analysis of where the opportunities were missed. Great meeting your parents and sister, and look forward to our next encounter.
This is so awesome and cool. And saw you explain what the hand gestures were, it's awesome that you all communicate with each other like that to keep things safe and fun.
Good fight'n!! I knew you were gonna get back to him!! And the absolute class of leaving that gap to the straight and G'bye. Yessir. Awesome racing right there!
Great race Jordan, you are driving HARD out there! The 26:00 thing is so annoying to me. Glad you saved it, but GREAT drive otherwise. I swear you could watch anyone in the top 10s videos and just smile at how amazing Spec Miata racing is!
great drive through the top 10! it's not easy!!! move at 8:42 was nicely predicted and the T14 run set me up for a CLASSIC 'freight train'... oops lol my very honest tip about the contact: it was an optimistic/bad strategical move on his part with like 30% overlap... but he was still there and you turned in even earlier than Danny ahead of you! turn in around 20% later and he has very little chance at hitting or passing you in my opinion. 26:00 was nuts, good save my guy.
Thankyou Chuck! Lol that was a pretty long train! Yes, I believe you got that pretty spot on. In the moment I thought I was leaving enough space to clear bumpers as I turned in but definitely doesn't seem as much as I thought. Disappointing to have happen while battling for my first HST podium especially with so much of the race left but we both could've done things to avoid it. We talked after the race, and we have no hard feelings. LOL I get what people mean by the jump there now! My gopro mount is not the most stable to it makes it look way worse than what it actually was!
MX-5 racing is some of the most entertaining motorsport to watch anywhere. The cars are so tight to each other, everyone's jockeying for position, and a mistake means you likely get freight-trained by 4 or 5 drivers. It was neat to watch you work your way to the front, you looked like you had a bid for the lead until getting bumped off. After your second off it looked like the tires were unhappy, either that or you started pushing a little harder, because it got sketchy there a few times. But this was a solid run! Awesome job!
Love all the bump drafting! Spec never disappoints. Back in the day I had a '92 that I was hoping to turn it into Spec. Never happened. I only got as far as our local SCCA auto-x. lol Good stuff man!
Great race ! I had no idea you were running with Drago and Steyn ! That is awesome. A shame about t6 but you will get there. Thanks for the upload ! I watch the same race from other onboards and it is so cool to see the other action. Keep up the great work and thanks again for taking the time to upload your vids.Thay are much appreciated from all the viewers !
You have to tap the brakes to bring the pads back to the rotor surface. When you ride kerbs the vibration causes "knock back". If you don't do this sometimes the pedal goes to the floor...
I am writing a novel set in the MX-5 Cup and found your hand gestures very interesting. Would we be able to speak on the phone sometime about your use of the hand gestures?
That was insane and sketchy AF. Too bad about that slip up from 2nd. So much bump drafting and then really harry corner exits. It's a wonder those suspensions can hold up for a full race of that abuse.
it's how drivers communicate to each other! sometimes it's telling them which way they are going to move, thank you for the bump, I'll work with you I won't try to pass, or a I'm sorry for mistake!
this is on a closed course sanctioned under scca, although spec miata is one of the cheaper forms of wheel to wheel racing, the national level can get quite expensive! I'd suggest checking out the scca schedule for tracks around you and go watch and talk to some of the drivers about cost for that weekend!
I actually never made contact and left more than a car width of pavement for him(you can see this by the blue and orange car in my mirror way wider then me still on track). His name is Todd Buras and we are close friends. With the new repave the track felt pretty slick on cold tires and my guess would be he tried to hold the speed off the racing line and just slid off.
Sometimes it pays in the long run, so they'll push you later! although maybe going for the pass this time wouldn't have put me on the outside two corners later, who knows!
we use them to work together and communicate! a thumbs up is normally a thank you for the bump, a finger pointing to the side is telling the other driver which way to go, a hand in a straight line means you won't try to pass let's work together!
Amazing video, what's the name of the track? I suggest not putting on the race story right at the start, I think some people would enjoy watching it without knowing what will happen
This is so much more fun than watching F1! Crazy to see all the bump drafting going on. Absolutely amazing drive! Can only dream of one day competing in a race like this!
Thankyou for watching, glad you enjoyed! spec miata is a great place to take your first step into wheel to wheel racing!

Fricken bad ass driving and what a race between all the drivers!! Love this and the content!!
amzing race and the comunication between drivers

Thankyou Danny! I'd love to hear and learn, maybe we can set up a date to go over it! Looking forward to it too!
Can you record and post that debrief? Would love to listen in!
I feel you left a couple of passes on the table by not being a bit more aggressive, but I'd love to hear the opinion of a more experienced driver.
my adrenaline starts flowing just watching this. This looks epic as hell.

And then you repassed him on track!!! 😂😂
Nice race...that podium was all yours! Thanks for posting.
Corner exits from hell. Damn lot of fun to watch. Keep it up! 👍🔥🤘
I mess with this angle my boy
Thanks bro awesome racing with you!
Great racing, it's fun to see these little Miata/MX-5's driven as hard as possible. Got my sub, good luck and stay safe man!
Much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed!!
I have raced this track and it is awesome, great drive!
What a clever drive 🎉
What a great race...thanks for bringing it !
holy smokes! That is some great racing and driving there!. You made some really nice moves!.

thankyou! second off was no fault to my own trying to get back on power to early trying to push with the tires hotter in the later part of the race!
Good race I felt in Gran Turismo 7.!!
mk5 cups are the BEST racing out there! this stuff is EPIC
lovely to see close racing like this. pity about the punt and kudo's for not taking revenge. subscribing for more.
Thanks for watching, more coming soon!

Thankyou for all the kind words and support! Defiently is cool to be able to watch other people perspectives from the same race!
@@jordansegriniracing3987 Thanks Jordan. It's also interesting to hear the other tranny's and the different rpm's. Have fun !
Congratulations on an awesome drive !!!
Green and white car played dirty. Nice driving brother.
Awesome driving! I was over in turn 5 watching
Hey, thats me in the #11 👋
Killer race man, it was fun sharing the track with you in those battles
Thanks bro congrats on the podium! they were some awesome battles!
Who built your transmission? If I shifted like that I would go bankrupt replacing 5 speeds lol.
It is a Drago transmission, I've had the best luck with them personally..
Intense dude, love it.
Damn exciting and aggressive racing!! Wow
Wow dude! That was awesome. You are seriously talented. Keep making videos! Please 🙂
I really appericate it thankyou!! more coming soon!
I would love to hear your commentary on what was going on in your mind as you were going through the circuit. All the best Jordan.
Bro this looks fun as shit. Bump drafting with everyone and getting sucked off track by curbs. Every man's dream for fun. I'm jealous
You made some really nice moves!
this is the best DRS system ive seen 😂👍
Is the quick flashing of the brakes a warning that they are going to brake?
You have to tap the brakes to bring the pads back to the rotor surface. When you ride kerbs the vibration causes "knock back". If you don't do this sometimes the pedal goes to the floor...
@@ZeroAltera oh wow never knew, thanks for explaining!
😉 Thanks, looks like a real hoot.
OMG, they are cosplaying that video game iRacing!
I think my mx5 is short enough, no need for ‘compaction’ racing for me lol.
Looks like massive fun though, great drive.
Nice jib of running the guy off the track at 6 on lap1
This video is awesome. That must be so fucking fun.
Underrated channel
Thankyou!!
Unbelievable, there were multiple instances where the drivers should have pulled over and exchanged insurance information
How do you ever wipe the grin off your face?...Great video. I only get to do that on my PC. Thanks!
18:37 that was tense. and have to row it all back
I am writing a novel set in the MX-5 Cup and found your hand gestures very interesting. Would we be able to speak on the phone sometime about your use of the hand gestures?
Nice drive 😀
Dude 26:00 was nuts
yea found out what people mean when they said theirs a jump lol, the camera mount was also loose and makes it look worse than what it is!
That was insane and sketchy AF. Too bad about that slip up from 2nd. So much bump drafting and then really harry corner exits. It's a wonder those suspensions can hold up for a full race of that abuse.
No fear and gobs of talent. Epic passes. Sorry Drago fucked you in T6. Hope he apologized!
I was always curious, what are all the little hand signals? Are they like a 'my bad'? I know I saw some thumbs up and like a keep in line signal :)
it's how drivers communicate to each other! sometimes it's telling them which way they are going to move, thank you for the bump, I'll work with you I won't try to pass, or a I'm sorry for mistake!
That looks like so much fun. How much is it to race for a year over in the USA?
regional races are relatively cheap entry fees you can find on motorsportreg.com then is comes down to crew fees and how often you get tires!
Freakin animals. Great drive
awesome
Traffic on the 10 😂
That's insane. How is this both legal and (reasonably) affordable?
Spoiler; it's not as affordable as you'd hope
this is on a closed course sanctioned under scca, although spec miata is one of the cheaper forms of wheel to wheel racing, the national level can get quite expensive! I'd suggest checking out the scca schedule for tracks around you and go watch and talk to some of the drivers about cost for that weekend!
Is the guy that punted you the same guy that blocked your line a few laps earlier on the straight?
all that work and
How about the guy you pushed off on lap 1 turn 6?
I actually never made contact and left more than a car width of pavement for him(you can see this by the blue and orange car in my mirror way wider then me still on track). His name is Todd Buras and we are close friends. With the new repave the track felt pretty slick on cold tires and my guess would be he tried to hold the speed off the racing line and just slid off.
@18:15 I would have risked a pass instead of bumping the leader , you seemed to have the momentum to do it :)
Sometimes it pays in the long run, so they'll push you later! although maybe going for the pass this time wouldn't have put me on the outside two corners later, who knows!
could you explain all the sign you use for the other drivers? its for taunting them? working in teams? its very interesting
we use them to work together and communicate! a thumbs up is normally a thank you for the bump, a finger pointing to the side is telling the other driver which way to go, a hand in a straight line means you won't try to pass let's work together!
A long drag strip with a few kinks.
One mistake 😮😮❤❤
Great drive but for the two mistakes.
Thankyou!
Amazing video, what's the name of the track? I suggest not putting on the race story right at the start, I think some people would enjoy watching it without knowing what will happen
The track is Road America I believe
Everyone in this race has a safety rating of zero in iracing. That said, this looks amazing.
What track is this?
a little bit of racecraft and you would be at the front
Epic drive
thanks mate
Anyone know where this is please? Nevermind. After a couple laps it all came back.
