It's difficult for me to go thrifting like I used to do with my lovely husband. I agree with the person who said Norwegian thrift shops are the best. I noticed the old frames and even pictures on the walls. Those would catch my eye😊
Love the knits ladies. Katie your sweaters are beautiful. So I have made about 5 Musselburgh hats. Depending on the skein so my ancient arts 384 m I ran short so I added a bit to hit the full length so I can roll the brim. Still my favourite best fitting hat
So funny , Katie mention the hockey game…. I don’t follow hockey, but I used to watch the games at home with husband before he passed away,. He watched it and I knitted in my corner… well we went to my first hockey games, a few years ago… we got to our seats… and the game started, I looked at my husband and said where are the announcers, he pointed… to the and said “down there”…he didn’t get it “ thee announcers “, he stopped looked at me and laughed in my face and said there is no announcers, just watch the games,, and continued to laugh… i sat there thinking what am I going to do for the next few hours, at that moment he leaned over and gave me a hug, just to reach down and take my bag -hence the knitting… you can’t knit here and he moved it to his side, you just can’t… I told him to watch the games the way he does and I will watch the way I want to…..he laughed at me for months…. ‘Thee announcers”
Sarah, that lace shawl is an absolute show stopper! And Jamie, your new shawl, it's a very cool shape and texture. It's always good to see you folks. I love how you think +2 is "warm". From your basically spoiled Vancouverite. Have fun at the retreat!
Katie's sweaters are both so nice! Which size did she knit the throwover? I love the fit and it hasn't been blocked. I heard that your garment should be knit to fit without relying on extensive blocking. Katie nailed it😍
Yes that's sounds like a great way to knit sweaters! I think it's the 5thb size. our yarn was a bit lighter than what the pattern called for so we adjusted a bit
I’ve knit Musselburgh hats in fingering. I haven’t used an entire skein of fingering. I even added several inches to the length do I could fold the brim and still have a slouchy look. I think end to end mine was about 25” long
Nice to see you again ... I watch your podcast allong time now, and i am always so glad there is a New episode! When that music starts i am happy, big fan 😊😊😊 happy that you are back greetings from holland Ivonne 😘😘😘
ok, I just discovered you and I'm so excited! I'm in Southern Alberta, but I love that you guys are so much like me and the conversations are totally conversations I would have :) happy knitting.
I ordered the yarn from Lionbrand for an Autumn League in the Deep Indigo color. I ordered a kit and chose my size and they only sent me two skeins and then refunded me the amount of money I was owed. I emailed them about it and they were not helpful. I can’t make a sweater from two skeins! They said, we will Email you when it’s back in stock. That was last fall and still not in stock.
So maybe you said already and I missed it, but will the pattern Jamie is doing for the retreat be available for sale later some time? It looks amazing and of course I want to make one right now lol. Love you guys!
I missed you. Glad you are healthy and back online
Katie, your sweater is gorgeous! Love the color.❤
Love your "coordinating" knit wear today. Thanks for the great videos, as always
Thanks ladies!
Katie I love your hair!
Twice Sheared Sheep...what a beautifully curated box!! ❤ Thanks for sharing Jamie.😊
Hello from St.Louis Missouri!
I used a full hank of fingering on a Musselburgh. I think, it was an adult Med. Jamie, I LOVE your retreat design!!!

For one of my Musselbrugh hats I used about 85-90g of fingering and that gave a nice folded brim too

Wish that ‘smelling the yarn’ was on my Bingo. Or Sarah peeking out from behind the shawl!
