How come its always the comedic actors that play serious, emotionless characters? Brent Spiner is a goofball. Tim Russ (Tuvok) is also a complete jokester.
+omegastar19 I was always thinking the same thing. When I first saw the TNG Season 1 bloopers I couldn't believe how much of cutup Brent Spiner was when the camera was not rolling.
I think Data does have a certain aura of humor about him, what with his blatantly naïve nature. There are many times where he will unknowingly (as a character) do something hilarious.
+omegastar19 On the subject of Timm Russ, I would have loved to have seen something in Star Trek close to what his line from Spaceballs was: "WE AIN'T FOUND S***!!!"
For those unaware, during the filming of Nemisis, Levar Burton was a contender to be director. When Paramount turned him down and gave it to a guy who had never directed anything, he repeatlidy kept calling Levar "Levern".

Damn a two year old comment I really want to comment on and talk to the OP. In the vein hope that Micah is still receiving notifications to this, Can you tell me more about Solipsistic? I've looked up the dictionary definition (I'm really trying to improve my vocabulary after years of neglect) So my question is how do these people interact? Are they the argumentative type who try and say everything someone else says is wrong? Or have an immediate negative reaction when you try and suggest something new to them?

So Brent Spiner is like one of those creepy stalkers that goes to all the conventions to troll his fellow ex-costars. I think he loves the attention. Still, he was one of the best actors in TNG.
Dangerosu LOL I agree. :D Yeah, I'm getting into the show myself now, and he's definitely one of my favorites, and holy cow Brent is a friggin troll! XD
Dangerosu Just shows that friendship relationship wasn't only in front of the camera, but when you spent about 7 years in a massive and popular production like this all together it's only natural you should become best buddies :D
This video has obviously hit the RUclips sweet spot. I've never seen one with more than a hundred likes and no dislikes. I did not know it could be done...
ive worked at a Wal Mart for 20 years, i have met a ridiculous amount of customers that are actually just like that. they ask a question and you cant even answer them because they just keep talking and repeating the same thing over and over and explaining the thing they are looking for and what it does and so on.
I can see now where Levar's daughter got her inspiration from to go and troll a Trek panel and with a funny voice too lmao that's great. Levar was so embarrassed!
At the the 1:00 mark, BRENT SPINER DISGUISED AS A FAN: I would like to purchase the RAINBOW READING app. Of course he reversed the words for laughs. Guy loves his EDDIE AND THE… (a fake series of 50-hundred/5,000 books).
1,500 books x 4 pages a book = 6,000 pages. Even I can't read that much in one sitting. And yes, I realize this was a joke and there's no such series, but I ended up having to stop and do the math and forgot the joke.

+omegastar19 Nimoy was a funny guy, too. It was a joy to see him on stage.

@@andor888 must have been in Night Court
Brent always sounds like he's doing Bob Wheeler from Night Court when he trolls his friends at conventions. :D
He is doing a nerd here, not a hillbilly.
Star Trek TNG was awesome, and the cast seem really great. But you don't have to take my word for it...
(music cue) Din-den dernt!!
Please, take my worf!
I see what you did there lol
I get the impression that Spiner's act here was inspired by decades of interacting with solipsistic fans.

@@SamCarvajal Thanks for correcting a fucking 3 year old comment. Bet you feel really smug now. Find something better to do.
Brent needs to "troll" them with the Bob Wheeler character...THAT would be funny AF!!!
He used to be Levar "ROOTS" Burton; Now he is known as Levar "Star Trek TNG" Burton! READING IS FUNDAMENTAL! (RIF)
Brent is such a BRAT!!! I love him to pieces! And Levar never ages! He was flipping Kunta Kinte in Roots!!!
I thought his name was Toby.
I am pretty sure they know hes gonna show up ahead of time, but its all unscripted.
LOL, they were besties on the Series. Love the banter.
Everyone is friends with levar. He's a cool dude.

Justforvisit Yeah, I like these kinds of friendships, too. :)
Dangerosu I love his troll-bombing.
Damn, that Eddy series must be awesome. Has anyone here read it?
I've only read the first 900. I would recommended starting at book 50 since thats when the eddy character starts developing fully.
@Tejesh Patel LOLOL!!!
I have! Eddy and the spinal tap is the best.

Brent should resurrect the Bob Wheeler character (from Night Court) whenever he trolls conventions.
The 200k in the coffee can is priceless. Dan Fielding's face and reaction was hilarious.
Oh my god brent spiner is hilarious.
Star Trek convention in San Francisco in November 2011
That's not Brent Spiner, that's Bob Wheeler
