Loved every minute of it. The only thing that would have made it better would be hearing the radio between driver and navigator. Can't wait for the next one.
@@StadiumSUPERTrucks Also uploading both w/ and w/o would be awesome, having one unlisted and linked in the other, sometimes just hearing that raw BAJA power is all I need
I’m sure a lot of us think we can drive, and maybe some of us even can, but to drive on the edge and maintain the needed level of concentration for four hours straight is another thing entirely.
@@ScotFarthing as great of a job that had went, also could have gone way WAY worse for us lol. Water and dust doesn’t make the best cleaning agent for a camera lense lol. That was awesome tho
Seriously, I bet most of us can't even watch this 4 hr video with 100% focused attention and no interruptions. No snacks, no bathroom breaks. And that's with no consequences of failing to do so. (Other than your significant other annoyed you're watching racing 4 hrs straight)
all them spectators on the side of the road, getting group B flash backs i dont have because i wasn't born yet this is soo sick. this really puts in to perspective how physical this race is 4 hours of pedal to the floor getting bashed and thrown around on some of the toughest terrain around.... insane!!
This is a one of a kind footage, very professional and considerate. For the 1st tym im seeing what an aggressive driver Roby is and really consistent at it.
Robby is the man. He’s got so much driving talent it’s insane. I love watching him drive. The slingshot video of him following another driver on a similar course shows his skills and determination to make a pass.
Thanks for the upload, These are the kind of real videos that remind us how hard and dangerous it can be but at the same show plenty of skill from drivers/builders/navigators
So happy I stumbled onto the 2021 Baja 500. In the 80's and 90's I traveled hundreds of miles round trip from colorado to nevada to watch big time off-road racing, also on ESPN, but haven't paid attention lately.
I can't wait to get home after work as if Robbie put this out and he didn't take a break I'm going to watch all four hours of it without me taking a break. Just because I can. 😁👍
this is epic, thanks. I've been stateside communications for a couple baja 1000's tracking and reporting on race miles of trucks and chase vehicles but have never been there... this was a really cool view into what i was reporting on. so much awesome
Esto es para disfrutarlo en pantalla gigante, tomando unas buenas cheves ;) felicitaciones al equipo que permitió esta joya en video :D saludos de argentina
Robby is one if my fav drivers for everything. I remeber back in the day at parker he was in a storm in his boat and i was on my race ski we were the only people in the water.. Crazy diver...lol
It is great that this was released. The camera is incredible. Would like to know more about the mount. That was a smooth video while Robby was bouncing everywhere.
My 3 boys sat down with their PlayStation controllers in front of the Huge screen & were pressing those buttons where ever U ah going Best entertainment 4 the lads
10:50 definitely the wrong time and place to get stuck. While I do love the twisty and slower portions, nothing compares to the straights allowing the truck to stretch its legs and going flat out. This has to be one of my favorite kinds of racing, that and 24h endurance races.
Take note Hollywood this is how you shoot a video no shaky camera work no unnecessary music just raw audio Where was this at I like how people are passing him on the main road
I completed 2013 baja 1000 on a dirtbike... and we were new and slow... I was the youngest at 40... we were on a Dirt bike and first trophy truck came through right around the north ward part of that layout... it was dark and I was on the bike... scary as hell!! but damn those vehicles are beasts
The video is damn long but good that I was watching at my lonch time, and continue watching the rest of the ride at home and keep watching the rest next day, the driver is Damm good maybe to good, l enjoy watching the race ..
I did a side by side comparison with Justin Lofton in car which shows the gps speed, he did 123mph top, RG was quicker by the vdo. so RG was easily 130mph +
The most technical part starts at 2:39:03 from Mike's Sky Ranch (RM 150) to Rancho El Coyote (RM 165) around 3:00:00. These rocky narrow uphill roads (2:55:09) are terrible to every car's suspension. It took to Robbie around 20 minutes to deal with it what normally will take no less than 30 to any other regular car, as always, he pushes speeds to the limit and sometimes that breaks the car and costs the race, sadly like this time.
Damn! That was so awesome! Robby was flying! Too bad about that trailing arm breaking. I bet he would have finished way up in the order if not for that. Oh well. On to the 1000 in November.
Smooth enough ride. Operating scraper is like busting bronco, your entire shift. If you’re doing it right That’s eight hours plus. A little drive like this in the country would be a pleasure.
Robby, WOW! That was a wonderful idea and I truly appreciate your insight on sharing with us fans. Sure as a person sitting outside on my deck and watching all I kept asking myself was, How fast is he going? Is it possible to get a digital readout to indicate mph for a dumb blonde like me?
Center fan is barely moving. Do they not free spin in the wind, or do your not get airflow at that location? Looks like it gets great air, it just confuses me that it isn’t spinning. THANKS FOR THE VID!
There's the old adage that I've heard forever 20 years or so (I have no idea if it's true) that says "Robbie either wins or breaks." I kept rewinding to find a driving mistake or at least a road hazard that I would be able to say with any certainty THERE IT IS that's where he broke the trailing arm. But I never found it. He hit some hard edged stuff that's for sure but just watching a video I couldn't tell. It was just one moment he's giving it 8o to 90 % and the next moment he's pulled over eating peanuts.
Speed Zone Ends at 2:28
Nice! I’ll probably watch this over time

Thank you for 'zipping' thru the 37MPH speed zones.

After 5 mins in: SLOW THE F' DOWN! Maniac...

Excellent footage. What is the max speed we're witnessing here. Some of those straights seem flat out, what with the whine of the V8.
