    Just ordered this rack, Amazon on sale $339tax/shipping. Prior rack =Fultyme rack from Walmart approx $150, claimed capacity 200lbs. Stock setup = junk, wobbled and up/down motion shakes the bikes to pieces. Made it work with braces and reinforcing bolts( still dubious). With a static 200lbs, dynamic load usually 20% less(160lbs ??) The up/down motion is the most violent, hard to control. Hope this rack works.(Carring heavy hi $$$bikes). Thanks for your video, helps lots of folks.

      I received mine with some missing parts. Just small items but still annoying. My rack is also missing the "anti falloff" knob. Other buyers have also complained about this. Some buyers receive this feature others do not. If your routine is to put the rack on n off each time you ride, this rack at 70lbs might be a struggle. Aggravation from this Chinese product. I have contacted the seller.

I think the vertical supports with strap connector for the seat posts or upper frame means better stability than the pricey ones with the wheel arms that seem to allow a lot of back and forth movement. What is the wheelbase of your bike? Not the overall but the wheel measurement hub axle to hub axle? I’m in Bear Delaware and really like this rack for two bikes , but my Himiway Zebra Step thru is long and if they stopped selling it with the tilt feature I won’t consider it…..on Amazon they seem to show both tilt down with handle and simpler folding with cotter pin and pin?..very nice bike btw….

    • @IMBruceECLECTIC
      @IMBruceECLECTIC  8 месяцев назад

      You live around 30 minutes from me....I just ran down to my garage and measured---46 5/8" hub center to hub center. The Tilt is a great feature. The single did not tilt--- the double tilted...I have received conflicting information on my follow-up---one Sub said "no" and the company told me "yes." If it did not tilt, I could still load my new bike, Betty, but Roxy would require more practice. I would probably use the ramp I made if it did not tilt. If you find out they still tilt, and you want to meet, happy to meet you 1/2 way or so----on the line near the Chevrolet Dealer or ? You can email me if you want bruce.hechmer@longandfoster.com.

    • @IMBruceECLECTIC
      @IMBruceECLECTIC  11 месяцев назад +1

      That is a great question. It slides all of the way to the top (and comes off if you want) and to the bottom so i think it will grab the part that contains the seat. Thank you for the question!

    • @IMBruceECLECTIC
      @IMBruceECLECTIC  11 месяцев назад +2

      I forgot to answer weight----about 80 lbs. It is easy to install in the hitch. I kept mine in the hitch for weeks....until my riding slowed due to cold weather. The new rack still tilts according to the company but they never answered me if it will tilt down. Even assuming it does not tilt down, I still would have purchased because it is still easier than others to lift in the rack and the front tire cradle holds it in place until you can lift the rear. AND it keeps it secure. I did not want to pay $700+ for a "better" rack.

A good design---just not as fast to do as a traditional hitch pin. Thank you! Yes----I had my Roxy (about 100lbs---maybe a little more with all that I have added) and a second bike--albeit, a traditional bike. No issues with the rack. I have gone over 200 miles using the rack and no issues. Love the Rack. Thank you for Watching, Liking, Subscribing and Sharing! I appreciate it....this is my most viewed video...never would have thought it! Please ask your dad and friends to Sub. :) Thank you again.

      Thank you Liking, Subscribing and Watching! It is a Young Electric Bike Rack. Bought on Amazon. Caught a sale. I have been told by a viewer that the new model does not tilt down...but when I emailed the company, they told me it does "tilt." It is very secure and that front tire cradle is deep and gives me piece of mind that the bike will not "hop" off. And the cheapest good rack rated for 100lb x2 bikes I could find.

    Even better. Buy a 1up rack, use it for years, then list it for $100 less and it will sell in no time. I hate the company and think they are overpriced but they have such reputation.

      Crazy price. This is a rack that some of my friends have found for under $300 on sale.....I have not found a 200lb. rack as good in that price range. "apples to apples" There are a lot of great 200lb racks for $600+........ Thank you for Watching, Liking, Subscribing and Sharing!

    Hopefullly fixing to buy my first ebike....at 76 years of age. Old as dust. Great looking rack but checking the price on Amazon it is $850 bucks. Wow. That is a third the price of the bike I am looking at. I am always concerned with hitch mount anything....given all of the rocking back and forth and up and down. However, this one seems to be less so than most I have seen. As someone else pointed out with another brand, 70 lbs bouncing up and down is not 70lbs. Probably more like 100+. It sure would be nice if someone could come up with a system that is absolutely rigid. But, then it would probably break. This is by far the best one I have seen but the price is just too high for my budget.

      Great job buying a bike! 76 years young....IMPRESSIVE. When you get your bike you will feel 26! You are not looking at the same one... I will get you the link. I just checked last week and the double was $329 and the single was $289. YES...you are right....inertia creates force and stress. My rack has gone hundreds of miles now and is still great. Thank you for Watching, Liking, Subscribing and telling me. I am going to go on Amazon...get the link and post it for you.

      @@WayneTheSeine ..I love that rack and the new version comes with a ramp. I built one...it works but a "factory" ramp would be easier. I actually just lift it into the rack. Let me know if you have any questions about bikes....they are the cheapest they have been in years....there are price wars going on!
