You just missed mentioning that he was wanted in India for the 2007 cinema hall bombing that killed 7 people mostly poor, and also for drug peddling and target killings. India has asked the Canadian government for his and many others' extradition. Indian teams have visited Canada many times. Even the state Government of Punjab( Sikh majority) asked Mr. Trudeau for his extradition when he visited India in 2018. The Canadian government provides a safe haven to criminals to prove how liberal they are.

What ticked me was the report which quoted an intelligence official who said that the murdered man was warned of possible threats multiple times before, which means police knew of his whereabouts.
Now what is concerning is that how come the police didn't arrest the guy who had an Interpol red corner notice against him, despite knowing his whereabouts ?
Guess that gives weight to Indian allegation that Canada is becoming a safe haven for criminals.

Criminal? So now he’s a criminal also? So how he’s a criminal? Just because india government is saying so? Has he ever been convicted as a criminal in court of law? The answer is a BIG NO!! Seems india government can just put labels on anyone as a criminals and terrorists to justify the killings … That makes the Indian government the real criminal organization for killing an unarmed man going to his place of worship. So it seems you want to call him a criminal so no one looks at who the real criminals are.
So let’s look at facts why did Canada allow him to stay if he’s a convicted terrorist? It’s because he never was, india keeps saying he’s a terrorist and should be extradited back to india but when Canadian authorities asked for any evidence or proof of him committed of those crimes india doesn’t have anything 😂
(UAPA) Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act where the india government arrest you put you away forever without due trial without evidence or proof all they need to say is on the basis your involvement in terrorism against the country where all your properties will be seized.

The Indian state, like many other draconian states, sees every advocate for a separate state as a terrorist. India does not tolerate free thinking or expression if it advocates a separate state. In such cases India sees advocacy as a terror threat, it fabricates evidence uses outdated laws of secessionism to define a person as a terrorist, thus putting out red notices through Interpol. In sum, indian red notices are contrived, and don't hold up in western courts generally.

If Western countries fart - it is a melodious song for the whole world to enjoy.
If India farts- It is the most obnoxious and unsavoury thing to have ever happened on planet earth!!!
The phenomenon of Trans national elimination of enemies of state and terrorists was started by the USA and none of the 5 or 10 eyes can lecture India about this.
Mr Nizzar was a wanted terrorist who had committed acts of Terrorism in India and Canada had repeatedly declined to extradite him back to India.
Canada should be put in the black list of FATF for enabling International Terrorism.

Thank you for discussing this. While an assassination by agents of another state on Canadian soil is bad, Canada should never have allowed this guy into the country in the first place, he made several bad-faith attempts to get in, and our stupid system allowed it. And, since when did Canada ever support a separatist movement in other countries? We don't take too kindly to foreign states promoting Quebec independence, so you'd think some quid pro quo would apply here. But nope, this is about the Liberal party courting votes from immigrants. If you are leaving the Old Country behind, you are supposed to leave it's problems behind too. Are you a Canadian now, or not?

I struggle to comprehend why Western media and Western individuals seem to approach this issue from a single perspective. I have yet to see anyone acknowledge that before Hardeep Singh Nijjar became a citizen, numerous extradition requests from India went unfulfilled by Canada. This makes it questionable why Canada believes that the situation will be any different, especially when dealing with a designated terrorist.
Furthermore, if you're uncertain about this individual's background, I would encourage you to conduct a quick Google search to understand how he recently obtained citizenship, despite being denied multiple times in the past due to false information. It's striking that no one from Canadian or Western media addresses the questionable history of this individual.
0:57 For those who assert that it took them a while to get to the bottom of this issue, I would recommend delving into the historical context and integrating that perspective into their analysis. This may lead to a better understanding of how Canada is potentially becoming a safe haven for terrorists and fugitives. If you're seeking an unbiased analysis, I'd suggest looking up "Cover Up Air India, CBC reporting," which can provide you with insights into how deeply rooted this issue is. However, if you prefer to maintain your current perspective and paint India in a negative light, that remains your prerogative.

This time they took it into their own hands. Not acceptable to do in a sovereign country but I can understand their frustration with the Canadian justice system. This kind of thing happens all too often and we are far too lenient on criminals in general. As a social scientist who studied South Asia for 40 years, and lives in Canada, I would like to add some context and recent history to this discussion. New Delhi has been frustrated over Canadian politicians' wooing of radical elements in the Sikh diaspora for several decades. While the Khalistan movement (for a separate Sikh homeland) is today peaceful, in the 1980s and 1990s it was extremely violent in India. I know because I was studying at a university in New Delhi at the time. The Bhindranwala faction of the Khalestan movement assassinated 20-30,000 people, mainly government servants, other religious sects, political moderates and secularists between 1980-early 1990s. They took over the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the foremost Sikh holy place, believing that the Indian government would never invade it, and carried out their terror from there. Indeed, there was a young woman from Punjab in my hostel at JNU whose parents were assassinated. Indira Gandhi eventually sent troops into the Golden Temple, and in reprisal, her Sikh bodyguards assassinated her, following which there was a terrible pogrom against Sikhs in New Delhi. Rajiv Gandhi, who succeeded his mother, pretty well ended the Bhindranwala movement, not only by repression, but also agreeing to most economic grievances that were driving the conflict (a conflict over state sharing of river irrigation). He also supported a moderate Sikh party in following elections. It appears that a significant number of Khalistani supporters emigrated to Canada, the US, and Britain. It is in these places that the Khalestan movement survives, and has been dominating some electoral ridings in Canada where Sikhs are in a majority. Canadian politicians, including Trudeau, have wooed these groups to help win elections. Many Canadian politicians attend rallies where the assassination of Indira Gandhi is celebrated in posters, etc. Granted we have free speech in Canada, but since when did Canaidan politicians support a separatust movement in another country? I don't agree with the assassination at all, and it's true that the Indian government has become more authoritarian under Modi, but India's foreign affairs have not changed that much in relation to Sikh separatism since 1980. Trudeau even invited a Canadian Sikh emigre who had been convicted in Canada of murdering a state minister from PUnjab to embassy receptions in New Delhi during his so-called 'state visit'. Another really stupid foreign policy blunder by our feckless PM. When there was a separatist movement in Quebec in the 1960s that turned violent, Justin's father, Pierre Trudeau, introduced the War Measures Act, while his very stupid son boasts that he does a better bhangra than Jugmeet Singh, and cosies up to formerly violent Sikh political activists. So: what India did was very wrong. But I understand the frustration of the Indian government trying to deal with an idiot PM who just doesn't get it that it's not ethical or right to support separatist movements in another country. This issue has been raised by India many, many times. And I don't understand how various Canadian politicians can attend rallies where posters celebrate Bindhranwala and Indira Gandhi's assassination and not know who or what they are dealing with. Although Britain and the US also have large Sikh emigre populations, you don't see politicians there cosying up to Sikh separatists. Hopefully, we will have someone more competent following our next elections.

For decades Canada has been treating terrorism lightly, going all the way back to 1970 with the FLQ Crisis when Justin’s dad, Pierre, was prime minister. Since then other nationalist organizations with a terrorist wing have been setting up shop on Canada’s soil, usually in order to have a secure base to organize and fund their organizations, but also to mount the occasional operation abroad, such as the Air India bombing. Terrorists would often leave Canada, get wounded or arrested, and Canada would work to bring the Canadian passport holders back. Most notably, a teenaged terrorist, who made bombs to kill American (not to mention, Canadian) soldiers in Afghanistan, killed an American medic who was attempting to treat his wounds after a firefight, ending up in Guantanamo only to be released into Canadian custody, who not only quickly released him onto Canada’s streets, but gave him over ten million dollars to boot. BTW, the Canadian government didn’t pay the widow of the American medic so much as a penny. Things like this tell international terrorists that Canada is the place to be.

I think the big mistake was that Trudeau went very public with this accusation and created a huge media stir and unecessary conflict with India . If you follow Canadian politics you’ll know he did this the day or day after parliament reopened and he was getting absolutely ripped apart for the botch job he’s done managing this country (I say this as a normally liberal supporting Canadian) it was very obvious to me that this was to distract from what was the media narrative of sagging liberals in the polls , a housing crisis disaster and the grocery inflation. Suddenly he made this India accusation and all that talk disappeared for a few weeks. Brilliant actually for him bad for everyone else including sikhs in India who probably don’t want more conflict stirred up .

He was being accused of committing crimes in India even though he hadn’t been there for more than 20+ years? India itself was exposed in the 80s and 90s for propping up charges against Sikhs and letting police officers commit extrajudicial killings without any repercussions. 25,000 Sikhs in the 90s were picked up by the police and accused of committing anti Indian activities and shot. I must say, you have got the Indian perspective partly right. A bit of background (as a common Indian) on how we see the West.
To start, two examples for you:
    1. In the '71 war with Pakistan (Bangladesh was created), the US sided with Pakistan and even sent their 7th Fleet to the Bay of Bengal. We haven't forgotten that. We were ready to take on the fleet when the Russians sent their Subs and forced the US to stand down.
    2. in '89 when Pakistan again initiated Kargil and we stood on the edge of a Nuclear war, the US had switched off GPS in the area. The US taught us never to trust them completely.
But now times have changed and the West/US needs us to take on China and so we are the "best of friends"... We are well aware that the Western Nations will not make friends but will be allies; the "best of friends" label will change when they don't need us anymore - sadly, if one were to look at history, for some reason the US is incapable of making friends and standing by them through thick and thin, they are opportunistic. Our answer is to reciprocate so long as it suits us. Our national interest will come first.
However, I also have to say, this is not really who India is. We have gone out of our way to help where we can make a difference. Our Vaccine distribution during Corona, Our evacuating citizens of other countries along with our own where we can. Our stepping up for Sri Lanka (just one example) when it was broke. We tried the same with Pakistan for many years but were slapped down and have given up now.
We are happy to step up and extend our hand but there's a saying in Hindi - (translated) you can only clap with two hands. The other hand also needs to be extended. While we will be friends with the US, we will also continue to evaluate how the US treats this relationship and will respond appropriately - 😀The old saw upended: "Verify and then trust"...
In the case of this man Nijjar, what you did not mention: This man was the head of a terrorist group - the Khalistan Tiger Force (the Gurdwara even put up a poster saying this). He had a bunch of murder cases on him in India. There was a red-corner notice by Interpol on him and despite that (Canada is a signatory too), Canada did nothing. In fact, they warned him of a potential attempt on him.
Personally, I do not know who killed him, there are many versions floating around but as an Indian, if Indian Intelligence DID do so, I would applaud them.

This video is COMPLETELY FLAWED. J.J. McCullough did a BETTER ONE on the same topic.
Four months back, Kevin O’Leary said in a Fox Business interview 6/23 - ‘IDIOTS ARE RUNNING CANADA’.
      * Canada should NOT be harboring terrorists or giving them asylum. It is similar to Pakistan giving shelter to Osama and Zawahiri. No difference.
      * India has not accepted the allegation and called them absurd.
      * NIJJAR AND OTHERS WANTED SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXTRADITED TO INDIA BY CANADA. Indian Government made multiple requests in the past and INTERPOL ISSUED RED CORNER NOTICES. They gave several signals they were unhappy with non-cooperation by Trudeau government. They have committed multiple heinous crimes including murder and continue to do extortion.
      * When Trudeau met the Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh (another Sikh) in person in his previous visit in 2018, he handed over the dossier of the crimes of these Khalistani terrorists (including NIJJAR WHO HAS 16 CHARGES AGAINST HIM INCL. ATTEMPT OF MURDER, blowing up a movie theater with 6 dead and many injured), but NO ACTION was taken against these 'FUGITIVES'. In fact, a dinner event was canceled because the Punjab CM refused to attend because TRUDEAU'S ENTOURAGE INCLUDED A PERSON WHO WAS CONVICTED OF KILLING A MINISTER IN PUNJAB GOVERNMENT. Trudeau has been turning a blind eye to all Indian requests.
      * According to Indian Member of Parliament from opposition party (NOT from Modi’s party), Ravneet Singh Bittu (another Sikh) Nijjar was a close associate of those who ASSASSINATED ANOTHER PUNJAB CHIEF MINISTER BEANT SINGH (BITTU’S GRANDPA). At G20 Summit hosted by India, the Indian PM expressed concern on inaction by Trudeau.
      * These Khalistanis do not represent all Sikhs. Most Sikhs in India do not want Khalistan. These Khalistanis in Canada are puppets of the Pakistani Intelligence Services ISI waging war against India. They have been asking openly for the ASSASSINATION OF INDIAN DIPLOMATS AND MODI AND OTHER LEADERS. That is inciting violence and a violation of Vienna Convention. But JT and Jagmeet are siding with these terrorists. Freedom of speech does not mean promoting violence and hate towards others. By defending and harboring Khalistanis, CANADA is indirectly WAGING WAR AGAINST INDIA as a PROXY OF PAKISTAN. That is why INDIA MIGHT BE RETALIATING BY STOPPING VISA SERVICES TO CANADIAN CITIZENS globally.
      * Lorne Gunter from Toronto Sun said - "If people in another country were calling for assassination of Canadian leaders or destabilizing Canada, we will be mad (like Indians)". JT is a HYPOCRITE & INCOMPETENT and has made Canadians look bad globally. We did not get anything by upsetting India.
      * In this spat Canada is going to lose billions of dollars ($10-$12 billion per year) as fewer Indian students will come to Canada.
      * A Financial Post article published 9/26 'Diane Francis: Trudeau's diplomatic blunder raises questions about who's really running the show' says: "For Canadians, the question is why Trudeau did this and whether Singh is the real prime minister of Canada. Their partnership has damaged Canadians economically”. This means JT is Jagmeet's puppet. Both need to go.

This is the best understanding. Indians don't wake up and say we will take over the world. When China and Pakistan attacked India and America also came with their navy only Russia culture guarded our cost and any country which helped us in Past you can check we never backstabbed. Loyalty is more important in cultre. We never even Invade any country. Maybe India did or maybe they did not. But in Canada for a few months, Indian embassies were targeted its on RUclips. To safeguard they might have taken this step. But in a general sense, we didn't assign any Canadian. If India did they assassinated India who ran after the bombing and came on fake passports did contract marriage and also were linked to the bomb blast as he also had interpol notice and we can agree Interpol did their due diligence. I hope Canada realises and makes some kind of test to let people into the country as Israel and Gaza show you have to worry about these immigrants protesting with Pro hamas.

As an American who just turned 69 yrs old, putting me firmly in that boomer demographic, I can assure you that the world at large has always been like this, IMO. I love reading history, and when I review the 20th century, I am often amazed at some of the events, disastrous fiascos, tragic wars and political misadventures which took place across the globe. Some I actually recalled, but others hardly made a ripple through the brief news cycle we had back then. Journalists were far more responsible back then, but the sources of information were more restrictive, and many things slipped through the cracks of the media industry. Corporate media didn't necessarily censor news, but coverage wasn't very detailed, especially of foreign events. The rise of social media and diffusion of news sources in this modern world does give us a wider range of coverage, but separating truth from propaganda is more difficult now.
Everyone has an agenda it seems, but that just means you have to sort out the things that you see and hear. When you find a reliable source of info, like Peter, that gives you a starting point to find out more. But yes, the chaos of humanity has always been here. These days, we just have more ways to harm and destroy one another.
In the case of India, I would hope that Mr. Modi doesn't start using those horrible tools of murder and assassination to solve internal political problems better resolved thru negotiations and compromise. Whether it's the Sikh issues or Hindu/Moslem tensions, or the endless fights with Pakistan, and now China. As the Israel vs. Palestinian flare-up shows us, problems left unresolved do not vanish or subside. They fester, and a small infection becomes gangrene, and finally, the possibility of amputation becomes reality. Any doctor will tell you that. I was twelve when the six-day war took place, and Israel made the fateful decision to occupy the land in question. There have been a few opportunities to resolve the issue. It didn't happen, and one can blame both sides for the failure to come to some final resolution, but the real cost of that stalemate is borne by the folks on the ground. And that tragedy has pulled the rest of us into the whole mess! Don't allow India and Canada to get pulled into bad relations because India cannot come to a real understanding with its Sikh brothers and sisters. Hindus and Sikhs are both great people, as I have experienced and witnessed. Don't allow these political disagreements to undermine or destroy your great nation. You are an ancient people, but a young nation. Don't fall apart on us. America is trying to hold together itself right now. Don't follow our bad example, and we'll both move forward, with a little luck. Peace...
