Hello, Heiko, this razor is very easily available over here in India, but because of this problem as pointed out by Kevy I didn't purchased this razor, this is available for only 40 to 50 dollars over Amazon India even Merkur 34C and EJ DE89 are costlier than this razor due to import charges, you are really a genius what the PEARL people couldn't do, you solved that 👍👍🙏🙏🙏

Hi Heiko, nice video! I think it would be an easy solution for the manufacture but not for the final user. It's a pity that they are risking a product and brand reputation due to a miss aligned spring.

Hey Heiko! Thanks for the video. I already knew it was the spring. Great repair to yours!! I just replaced my spring and everthing is good. Just an idea, but you could use plumber's tape for the handle so it's not permanent for easier disassembly in the future. I used the tape for my Yaqi Final Cut because the handle wasn't staying in place when I would adjust the head. I twisted the handle all the way to the edge of the tape and can now adjust the head easily! Have a great weekend! JimG

That would works too. The Loctite I used is not permanent. I intentionally use low strength Loctite 222.
In the beginning when I take it apart it was also held together with that same Loctite. I was able to undo it with my bare hands. Great idea though.

Heiko what an amazing informational video. What I get from this is that Pearl is a slip shod company making inferior products for a cheap price. Their $70.00 product can be made to a superior product by having a mechanical engineering degree and $5000.00 worth of machinery. The moral of this story, to me, I but a Rex Ambassador and save a lot of money and aggravation.
You obviously know what you are doing. Everything is easy when you know how and have the right tools. The Pearl Flexi just isn’t worth the effort.

    Artur

WOW thank you for this video. One thing: I believe I've seen ( thought it was with KevyShaves ) that there was something like 1-2=ok, 3-4=shit, and 5-6= ok.

Love a good how to video! Very fun to watch. Once I am back on the mainland, I will want to hit you up to get that done! I was wondering, since I have read that a lot of people switch out the springs in the Yaqi Final cut, if a spring with more tension (I'm not sure what the correct terminology for springs are) would be good to put in the Pearl to add more pressure to the plate? Just a thought. Cheers and have lovely weekend.
