I love the fact that the music when she first starts descending is hopeful rather than foreboding. It's a beautiful sentiment to the idea of possibilities rather than fear. Sound can change everything.
Definitely want to see more of this storyline! Want to know what happened to Earth after the magnetic field is restored. And this character. Very compelling, some great CGI too. Great job,Team!
Im looking for some good sci-fi series and i searched for "The Exapanse" on amazon prime and i got 6 different series under the same name.......... Could you help me pick out which series it is, just the season count would be helpful.
2015-2022, A little tricky there, because it was picked up by Amazon Prime after not being aired for A while,so what you are searching may be the same series..
The Expanse is probably one of the best sci fi series of all time, and most definitely the most realistic depiction of futuristic space travel. The amount of details they put in to make it as realistic as possible is insane. They had a team of physicist working on the series all the way through.
So close to being excellent. Clearly a lot of work and passion went into this. Just let down by a few bits jarring the overall experience letting this short film down. I hope you do more shorts though and learn from this experience :)
I see the team are Destiny 2 Fans. One of my first thought is that she has a Ghost. At the end, it looks like a scene out of Rifts. Nicely done. One question, why is the ship's computer speaking in English when no one else is?
Ha I saw the ghost and had to make sure I clicked on the correct video. Surprised Bungie hasn't requested the video be taken down because of the ghost lol
Good film. Action without being overwhelming with booms fire and smoke. Good tension, and a hopeful resolve. In my mind, everything a good science fiction movie should be,
I'll forgo the nitpicking on this but there is something thats hard to just ignore and look past... If she destroyed her craft beyond repair, then how is it that she flies away happily into the sunset at the end... 🤨
@@sleeplessstu I'm assuming that if there was a plot, it translates better in Chinese than it does in English 🤷🏽♂️ And it's ashame because I usually like Chinese "Hollywood" stuff 😔
Wild story idea! The theory and scientific idea is unique and creative! Would love to see a full length feature exploring more of the causes and effects of such a potential threat to our earth! The potential story line could create a world where we must deal with the catastrophic consequences of such a threat! Please continue!
Indeed, especially going down so deeply, finding giant mushrooms in the depths, being swept further down by water, and coming up to the surface again in what resembles a volcanic eruption. The stakes are higher in this film, though - Verne's characters weren't trying to save the earth, but merely to explore.
I liked the concept similar to 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' and the visuals were nice, but my word, the character's actions made no sense and there was quite a few logical plot holes as well. For instance, if the air is unbreathable on the surface, then why no helmet to go along with the spacesuit? Things like that. Also, I have no idea what happened at the end. Her ship was damaged beyond repair, she would have been dying of heat / suffocation, but then she puts the thingy into the thingy and magically reemerges on the surface unscathed? The planet is 'fixed' just like that? Was that supposed to be a piece of xenotech or what? How did it end up there in the first place? I dunno, kinda meh if you ask me. Good idea on paper, though.
I have to agree. Either you needed to know the backstory intimately or there is a lot lost in translation. Not to mention her survival when the roof caved in while she was falling.
Very well done technically, in a production sense, but the story line was weak and confusing. Sg106 with a half-life of 21 seconds; that would be Seaborgium 266, only produced artificially (not even detected astronomically), which decays almost immediately to other radioactive elements, and within a few minutes to Thorium & Radium (long before you could find it). What does this have to do with magnetic fields, or anti-gravity. Ah! Floating islands! ... with water that flows from somewhere and off the edge, forever. And this will make everything better! Now it all makes sense. Sorry ... I realize this is fiction, but I was just hoping for more. Nonetheless, the floating islands are cool.
Disagree with the comments saying the plot is lazy or confusing, I think they were not reading between the lines. This is one of the better written ones I've seen
Hmmm… nice graphics but I think there needs to be a little more storyline here. Does she somehow “restore” the magnetic field of the earth by blowing up an underground cavern full of an unknown geologic specimen discovered by her father ? How did she fix her broken ship to escape the cave ? I guess maybe you don’t even NEED a story when you’ve got a competent hottie in a cool spaceship 😂
I really enjoyed this one , good story and it had a good ending not like most of the others they leave you hanging at the end wondering what happened thank you
Spoilers CGI A+, story C, story break down ; wants magufin, wants to do something reckless to get magufin, told don't do that, oh it still worked after doing it but causes another problem, repeat and doesn't get hurt from anything. Gets magufin.
If Bungie finds out about this... 1. Ship is exact copy of a Cabal Thresher 2. Literal Destiny Ghost 3. Weird Polygon that manipulates gravity and is probably evil
not bad, sadly you end with a paradox ... where does the water come from on those floating islands? you can't create water from nothing.... the rest is "feasable"
Super conscious metallic crystals have always seemed like the obvious source that would allow for continuing permutations. Until such Times as when being conscientious inhibited their inherent abilities.
I enjoyed looking at this film, but I didn't really understand what was going on. Partly because the subtitles went by very fast and I found it hard to follow the story line.
This is too simple for me. Although I believe that the woman is from that century, that cannot be Earth at that specific time. It would either have to be far in the past or far in the future. Athough, while in a similar light to problems with chrono-logistics that I have with Altered Carbon, I have to say, Seatle looked FANTASTIC! Really. Make sure that Tom Robbin's knows.
I’ll have to say, the graphics were amazing! Totally realistic. On the other hand the story seemed a combination of sci-fi and fantasy not to diminish the entertainment value. All in all…well done!
I really don't get it. I am a big sci-fi fan but this only had good graphics. The story made no sense. Its like Chinese Demon movies meets Sci-fi ending. I love Chinese movies with the demons and fairies and un realistic Karate moves. I like Fantasy too but this is what I got out of, a mix of genres that really don't do good together for me.
Same here. We can be generous and suggest that perhaps something was lost in the cultural translation, but no, it was just scrambled pointlessness. They had the resources but no sensible story. Did they just throw everything at the wall, that they could think of, in the hope that something would stick?
....this was a well made story. I do wish she would have met up with her father, but I guess you can't have everything. I did like the story though. Greg Hewitt
Are there any ferrous heavy metals? Gold, Silver, lead, and copper are all non-ferrous or semi-ferrous (idk if titanium is considered a heavy metal). I've never held a magnet to Tungsten, but since you can't tell the difference between gold and gold coated Tungsten without x-ray or core test- I'd assume it's also non-ferrous. And mercury needs a current to interact with magnets so it's safe to say that's non-ferrous as well. I'm curious because they're talking about non-ferrous heavy metals like its a rarity. The 25 second half life in nature is certainly rare.- but it's ferrous properties- not so much.
is there full movie of this one? only i see those sort clips or something from that movie but i a more interested to know is there any full movie of this? if there is what is the movie name, please?

It's so interesting to watch these short films, you quickly realize that cool CGI works only when it supports a good story.
I believe the last scene is supposed to depict a future where the mysterious new element has allowed humans to build floating cities on the Earth.
@@ScottStratton I like this theory. Makes more sense that this scene doesnt take place directly after the events but a year or 5 years later 👏🏽

The history reminds me the "Journey to the center of the earth" by Jules Verne.
