I am on the verge of crying everytime I listen to this. So powerful, but it’s sad to see Godzilla meltdown at the end of the film. But nice to see Junior revived and mutated into a fully grown Godzilla.

Most people don't notice it, but the Heisei Era it's probably the best Godzilla Era out there. It was narratively understandable, relatable characters, funny plots and something almost impossible in recent movies: Balance between human drama and monster action. And it's also one of the few times when Godzilla was treated as if he was a human character. I still consider Godzilla vs Destoroyah to be the definitive Godzilla movie, alongside the 1954 film The Heisei Era had the best fitting ending in the saga, and that ain't repeating again, not very soon at least

This song always makes me cry, this movie is by far my favorite heisei godzilla film, maybe my favorite of the godzilla series, it gives you those feels, plus introducing an epic final villain for this version of godzilla, this movie, will always be treasured by me
God I never forgot how much this scene impacted me when I was a young child 😢...This was my very first experience with Godzilla actually dying in the series and it crushed me to say the least, especially since I believed that Godzilla would never die...In a way it is true because of Junior having been revived in the end plus the series continued after this thankfully but man this scene was and still is a huge tearjerker for me to this day. Ifukube's powerful music and legacy will never be forgotten!
