I vividly imagine this music used for when Godzilla defeats some ultimate enemy and despite being victorious we as the masses look on to this terrifying yet awe inspiring creature die before us. His battle had been long, his will and bravery nearly broken, all that he loved desecrated and destroyed. He had nothing left to lose. As the fire within his heart grew too large and too bright, he felt something he’d never felt before. Peace. Death would swoop him away, and bring him to the Heavens, ready to be with the angels and those who had fallen before him. And when he was gone, something had been left behind. The son had absorbed his energy, becoming what he was meant to be. The father was gone, and a heir was to take his place.
The movie hasn’t even been announced yet and I’m already crying like a baby thinking about Godzilla’s death in the legendary era while listening to this song.
I'm imagining this being the last of the Monsterverse movies. Destoroyah is the final threat. The titan killer. During the final battle, this theme starts to play. Godzilla is going thermonuclear and every other titan that fought alongside him has now been defeated by Destoroyah. However, Destoroyah still stands, seemingly unphased. Godzilla was in his final moments of his meltdown. He didn't have long left before he went full thermonuclear. Just like his fight with Ghidorah in Boston, he was going to explode due to the radiation. His pulses of heat were growing stronger. He knew what was coming, but he wasn't going to give up just yet. In a final attempt to end Destoroyah, he charges at him. Throwing himself at Destoroyah and latching on. The immense heat radiating from Godzilla's scales caused Destoroyah to let out a roar of agony. Pieces of him began melting away and evaporating. Godzilla knew he was about to die. That this would be his final battle, but he was going to make sure Destoroyah went out with him. With every pulse, more and more of Destoroyah seemed to vanish. This was it. His final stand. Godzilla let out a roar unlike any he's ever made before. It was powerful. Ancient. It was the roar heard around the world. The city was blinded by light. The shockwave that followed leveled everything for miles. Once the light quickly resided, it revealed an empty, destroyed city. There were no signs of life. No people, no plants, no Destoroyah and no Godzilla. It was all over. Godzilla had saved us again. This time, at the cost of his own life
This DID bring me to tears! It's one of the most beautiful pieces Akira Ifukube ever composed for a film score, and you certainly have done it amazing justice. I applaud you, Sir!
+E. Adam Thomas Thanks a lot for your awesome words man :) Even though I'm normally not happy if I bring someone to cry... but if it's via music, then I'm happy and my task was successful :) Thanks again :)
I think legendary godzilla's death should have its own theme personally, this theme is extremely special and it belongs to Heisei. Making a theme for legendary for his death would be very ideal.
@@PlagueCrow1I can agree with both on the one hand it would be awesome to hear requiem play once again on the other a new death theme for Godzilla could be nice
I will never get over Bear McCreary putting that 🎶 note by Akira Ifukube at 3:28 from when Godzilla is melting and dying in GvsD in "Rebirth" right after Godzilla comes back to life in GKOTM.
This is what plays when Godzilla makes his epic sacrifice to kill Destoroyah and save the world. 0:07. The sky is blood red, most titans lay dead, only Godzilla and Destoroyah are left, for the first time in almost two hundred years, the two titans are the tallest things around. Godzilla is almost mortally wounded, but Destoroyah is also badly hurt. 0:26 They charge eachother. Destoroyah grabs Godzilla and takes to the sky, Godzilla tries to fight but its no use. Destoroyah takes Godzilla to the edge of space, the blood red moon setting. 0:40 He drops Godzilla. 0:58 Godzilla enters his Burning form. Destoroyah dives towards Godzilla, grabbing him. 1:09 Godzilla releases a pulse. Destoroyah is burned. He starts clawing at Godzilla. 1:27 Destoroyah is now understanding a different emotion from power, death, and tyranny. Fear. Both start burning up from their mass. Godzilla starts charging again. 1:54 Godzilla release another pulse, burning Destoroyah's wings, now both are free falling. 2:05 Humans watch from the ground as both Godzilla and Destoroyah fall. 2:14 Destoroyah struggles to get away, but Godzilla doesn't let go, he knows this is the only way. 2:34 He continues charging, his spines start cracking from the amount of radiation. 2:45 Godzilla looks to the stars for the last time, he thinks of all who fought and died for him. Mothra, Rodan, Kong, Behemoth, Scylla, Mecha Godzilla, and his adopted son Baby Godzilla, and many more. 3:01 He grabs Destoroyah by the head, looking deep into his glowing eyes. Destoroyah stares back with fear and anger. Godzilla simply stares, he seems content. 3:23 He lets out his final roar, the same roar from Godzilla V Destoroyah 1995 as he melted down. 3:27 His spines shatter, all the energy blasts outward. Destoroyah is ripped apart from the intense energy. The humans watch the explosion, the energy looks like a nebula. Godzilla is gone, but he always lives on in their hearts. Godzilla is immortalized as the creature that saved the world. Long Live The King.
Man, I remember sobbing my eyes out after watching the end of Godzilla vs Destoroyah's ending, and this music comes up. Now this has become one of my favorite music of all time
Still do to this day no fan can watch without sheading tears To grow up watching and having the big G as part of your life and as the years go by continues to grow alongside you Then seeing him in his final moments it's like that part as passed on while you still remain but the king lives forever
Imagine if they made a remake of Godzilla VS Destoroyah and they show Godzilla 2014 melting down....in the most saddest way possible....man...the entire theater would be crying their asses off! I would be apart of them
Right I think with the Monsterverse Godzilla’s emotions and his shrieks of pain for Jr. and his last dying breath will have people put their hands on their hearts.
If, in one of the new Monsterverse films, there comes a moment when Godzilla has to die or sacrifice himself and this particular music plays in the background, I will not be able to restrain a huge flow of tears, it will really hurt me.Because I have a big fan of Godzilla since I was 14, this hero of my childhood accompanied me for most of my youth, and during all this time he managed to become something more than a simply character for me...(sorry for my bad english)
Not going to lie, but Godzilla vs Destroyah is Easley the saddest Godzilla movie unless they make one that is just as sad if not even more, RIP Heisei Godzilla. All Hail The King.
NUTZY1 You mean the sample libraries? Ay they're quite expensive, but a lot cheaper than hiring a real orchestra and you always have the tools at hand. There are certain bundles that are moderately cheap to come by, maybe €200-300 and you can get quite an arsenal. Of course €2k-3k gets you even more, but you gotta start somewhere. It's not a cheap hobby, but FUN, however, if you get paid for some of it it's even more worth it ;)
I like the type of music you used, since legendary's Godzilla is more ancient than the others, so having more drums. It's still an emotional piece. Quite clever of you.
And the heavens looked down upon a creature not of it's making but of ours and welcomed this creature into their arms in heaven and with his last breath gave one last gift to this world and finally parted from us his Creators rip Godzilla 84-95
If I had more hands I'd give this more than TWO THUMBS UP! EXTRAORDINARY work, Mr. Nowak! Also: RIP Akira Ifukube - as this was his last Godzilla score before his passing.
This was masterful. One of these days, you and Ashley should collaborate again to do a cover of “Rodan Takes To the Sky” from Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II.
Burning Godzilla knocks Destoroyah into a pile of bones from the old wars Destoroyah lets out a pained cry and vigorously swipes and scratches at Godzilla Godzilla has been through tons of physical damage and torture in the past few weeks, he is numb to the pain now Godzilla glances at Kong watching from a distance, and gives him a nod as of to say “get the hell out of here now” Kong’s eyes widen as he realizes what Godzilla is about to do. Godzilla turns around and steps on Destoroyah’s chest, melting the flesh Godzilla bends down, his dorsal plate’s surging with growing power, as he growls at Destoroyah Destoroyah lets out a horrifying roar at Godzilla, who isn’t effected at all Godzilla stares at Destoroyah as he begins charging up his most powerful nuclear pulse yet The combined force of the Hollow Earth’s deadly radiation and his thermonuclear power is making him melt down Godzilla stands up and roars in agony as he unleashes the pulse, killing Destoroyah, and himself Kong, running towards a Hollow Earth portal, hears the blast and turns around to see a mushroom cloud expanding across the whole Hollow Earth, killing hundreds of monsters along the way. Kong makes it out, but barely
Quinn Red Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it so much!! I still haven't seen the new movie, but having an old version re-done in the new one can bring about tears for nostalgic viewers :)
When listening to this, I always picture Godzilla (2014) making his last stand, fighting valiantly, and dying heroically against overwhelming odds of monsters (either the MUTO's of Pacific Rim Kaiju)
Well I picture the scene it's from, the pure embodiment of both rage and compassion breathing his last, the most powerful Godzilla we've seen so far dying without any real resolution to gripes that made him so angry. A death with so much weight it's sure to bring a tear to the eyes of even the most calloused of people
monstereaternr Glad you like it so much, thanks a lot man :) Sorry to hear that hey, but at least you can listen to the music and enjoy it, that's worth a lot as well! I'm sure you excel in other things!
Another fascinating piece, my all time favorite Godzilla Film and definitely one of the greatest pieces of Music Akira Ifukube has composed, i'm very impressed with your work, again keep up the good work!
+Brian DeLaurentiis Glad you enjoyed it so much :) Tbh, I never saw that film harhar. I'll be bringing out a few more remakes soonishly, but from a different franchise.
+Myles Kent Glad you like it!! Ay no idea what it's actually called ;) Currently not doing any more Godzilla remakes at the moment, but you never know in the future ;)
This song is epic, its like its saying Godzilla is holding on, but he knows its the very end and he has to go, and its unknown cause he doesnt know whats gonna be on the other side waiting for him.
Godzilla’s death was sadder than juniors This feels like the song I hear when I’ve put my ego behind me and have fully become a selfless person with the intent of making the world as best a place as it can possibly be, the way this music happens and how symbolic it is, I feel so emotional coming back to this two years after the year I felt I nearly died, and I wanted to rest in piece finally til I learnt life had a greater meaning than being people’s hero, I wanted to become my true own person To much power for my own destroyed the destroyer of life and worlds
I’m so playing this very fitting song on my *dad’s funeral* when the time comes that is on the very far future! because since my name is Ramon Jr and my dad is Ramon Sr (it would make obvious since Junior & Senior) so I will feel junior’s pain all the same…
Good job Michail Nowak and Ashley Serena. This was very good. The original was heartbreaking, this one you guys have done is just a whole different level.
@@MichailNowakComposer Coming back listening to this is still heartbreaking, I watched Godzilla vs Destroyah and I played this song over Godzilla's death, and I nearly teared up, Jesus it was sad, once again great work.
Great work! Nice composition, in my ears a tragic theme, but beautiful. Some persian/arabic influences in it. Great orchestration (very romantic classical) and lovely vocals! Got some goosebumps! Very good job!
Morten Malvik Goosebumps is a very good sign in music ;). Ay it does symbolise Godzilla's death, so tragic is fitting. Thanks a lot man, glad you liked it so much! Indeed there are multiple influences in this piece!
Michail Nowak - Composer I listened again now. Still goosebumps =) I think this could be your best work. At least instrumentation-vise and the mood of it is incredible.
Sweet Mother of Godzilla! That was awesome! Incredible job! Please, produce more renditions like this of classic Godzilla themes! And make a CD-I'll buy it from you! ;)
well the heisei burning godzilla was significantly more energized and unstable than the kotm one, while the kotm godzilla was able to get it all out, the heisei burning godzilla had so much that his death was inevitable
Burning Godzilla's power level reached planet buster level thats too much for any mortal organism even for Godzilla. Fire Godzilla wasnt really Burning.
I bet this is how the last film of the Monsterverse will end. Legendary Fire Godzilla won a battle against a planet-sized Destroyah with the help of Legendary King Kong & Legendary Armored Mothra; and then succumbs to its Burning sickness caused from his power-up. All the titans/kaijus & humans see the death of Godzilla and mourn it. But not before Godzilla, in his last act, giving the radiation to his successor which I don’t know who will be.
@@GojiBoiEarth1964 Legendary is too pussy to give a complete answer. They will probably throw a third monster that they both have to fight. If we look at history to decide our answer, then Godzilla wins simply because in modern times, he is much more popular than King Kong. The reason King Kong beat Godzilla in 1962 was that he was more popular in both Japan and the USA.
e I know I was a year late, but tbf, while the first Godzilla was successful, it was still fairly “new” and came out pretty much 11 years after King Kong was released, which was a huge success as well. But then the King Kong movies after the original were reboots and remakes of the original while Godzilla has continuation in some reboots of the original. And considering that Godzilla fought kaijus like a 3 headed space dragon, a robotic copy of himself, a space clone copy of him, and a freaking kaiju from hell while Kong mostly fought Dinosaurs really sparks the entire “Godzilla will beat Kong”. And when Legendary announces a crossover after they bought the rights, it exploded into a huge bomb fire that can’t be put out. Personally, I would say that Godzilla might not kill Kong, but mostly spare him. And considering that Mechagodzilla might be in the film...yeah...
A fun plan for the Monsterverse: Godzilla Vs Kong Rebirth of Mothra (Mothra vs Battra) Godzilla 3: Destroy All Monsters Kong 2: Secrets of Skull Island Rebirth of Mothra 2 Godzilla: Requiem (the end of the monsterverse) Godzilla’s death but an after credit shows a new Godzilla. Prequels: Godzilla BC
So godzilla melts as a teenage doug absorbs his radiation saving the world from exploding and becoming the new godzilla continuing the legacy but not on screen, and yes in our imagination
If Godzilla dies in GvK (which I think that he will), he better go out in a meltdown, and pass the crown to Kong after they team up against another kaiju.
If legendary decides kill off Godzilla in their last Godzilla movie, they should do it in the saddest way possible considering that this is the Godzilla that most newer fans grew up with.
Dude I’ve been a godzilla fan since I was a toddler. Ive watched every legendary Godzilla movie in theaters i was 15 when the first one came out. Now that I’m an adult watching them all I’d literally ball my eyes out worse than the ending of furious 7.
Godzilla timeline (my theory) Godzilla (2014) Kong:Skull Island (2017) Godzilla:King Of The Monster (2019) Godzilla vs Kong (2021) Son Of Kong (2023) Mothra:Rebirth(2023) Rodan(2026) Godzilla:Resurgence (2028) King Kong (2028) Gamera (2029) Godzilla BC (2029) Godzilla:Final Wars(final monsterverse movie) (2030)
What I'd want: PHASE 1: Godzilla Kong: Skull Island Godzilla: King of the Monsters Godzilla vs. Kong PHASE 2: Rodan (Megaguirus as the antagonist) Mothra (Megalon as the antagonist) King Kong (Gwangi as the antagonist) Son of Godzilla (Gigan as the antagonist) PHASE 3: Gamera (The Kraken as the antagonist) Gorgo (Paleosaurus is the antagonist) Mothra 2 (Battra as an antagonist, Bagan is the main villain) Gamera 2 (The Gyaos are the antagonists) Destroy All Monsters (Destoroyah is created from a combination of the Oxygen Destroyer and the corpse of the Super Gyaos, he pretty much kills all of the titans including Kong, Godzilla sacrifices himself to save the earth.)
@@Electro21964I think Mothra’s movie should have Gigan as the antagonist, it would be a nice homage to Final Wars where they are depicted as sworn enemies.
Cant wait for the remake of the movie as monsteverse version. Also i dont think in the monsteverse godzilla will find a Baby godzilla because godzilla its the last of his kind

I think legendary godzilla's death should have its own theme personally, this theme is extremely special and it belongs to Heisei. Making a theme for legendary for his death would be very ideal.
*If
@@PlagueCrow1I can agree with both on the one hand it would be awesome to hear requiem play once again on the other a new death theme for Godzilla could be nice
That would be an epic finale for the Monsterverse
R.I.P Heisei Godzilla 1984-1995 The most Savage Godzilla ever.

Still do to this day no fan can watch without sheading tears
To grow up watching and having the big G as part of your life and as the years go by continues to grow alongside you
Then seeing him in his final moments it's like that part as passed on while you still remain
but the king lives forever
Imagine if they made a remake of Godzilla VS Destoroyah and they show Godzilla 2014 melting down....in the most saddest way possible....man...the entire theater would be crying their asses off! I would be apart of them
The improved CGI would just sell it.
Right I think with the Monsterverse Godzilla’s emotions and his shrieks of pain for Jr. and his last dying breath will have people put their hands on their hearts.
I wouldn't cry over it. I do with the true Godzilla, but I would never for the CGI imposter.

I wish Legendary would remake Godzilla versus Destoroyah.
+kalle heikkilä I agree, Destoroyah does look like to be a final opponent for Godzilla
+Eric Bower If they do so, I wish Legendary Destoroyah looks more like a devil dragon then a devil unicorn with batwings.
kalle heikkilä Destoryah does look like he could fit in the series
Thats exactly what I had in mind. It would be either a third or fourth movie to switch godzilla´s.
But how to get Godzilla in to dying state ? How to introduce Destoroyah ?
Not going to lie, but Godzilla vs Destroyah is Easley the saddest Godzilla movie unless they make one that is just as sad if not even more, RIP Heisei Godzilla. All Hail The King.
The king passed on, but a new king rose from the ashes, to take his place...

I swear, this almost brought me to tears... Awesome music!
NUTZY1 Almost??? Just *almost*?..
Naw just kidding, thanks man, I'm very glad you like it so much :)
No problem! It's interesting that you use instruments from other software. I wish I could get the software, but... Dear God, the prices.
It's not a cheap hobby, but FUN, however, if you get paid for some of it it's even more worth it ;)
I know.. Maybe I'll orchestrate my own Big G music in the future. :)
NUTZY1 Not as easy as it sounds ;), but maybe well worth it.
I like the type of music you used, since legendary's Godzilla is more ancient than the others, so having more drums. It's still an emotional piece. Quite clever of you.
Glad you like the new take on it, thanks a lot :))
And the heavens looked down upon a creature not of it's making but of ours and welcomed this creature into their arms in heaven and with his last breath gave one last gift to this world and finally parted from us his Creators rip Godzilla 84-95
Can’t believe it’s been 8 years since this legendary version came out!❤
If I had more hands I'd give this more than TWO THUMBS UP!
Long live the Godzilla King of the Monsters, I reimagined this and after that I cried literally
Burning Godzilla knocks Destoroyah into a pile of bones from the old wars
Destoroyah lets out a pained cry and vigorously swipes and scratches at Godzilla
Godzilla has been through tons of physical damage and torture in the past few weeks, he is numb to the pain now
Godzilla glances at Kong watching from a distance, and gives him a nod as of to say “get the hell out of here now”
Kong’s eyes widen as he realizes what Godzilla is about to do.
Godzilla turns around and steps on Destoroyah’s chest, melting the flesh
Godzilla bends down, his dorsal plate’s surging with growing power, as he growls at Destoroyah
Destoroyah lets out a horrifying roar at Godzilla, who isn’t effected at all
Godzilla stares at Destoroyah as he begins charging up his most powerful nuclear pulse yet
The combined force of the Hollow Earth’s deadly radiation and his thermonuclear power is making him melt down
Godzilla stands up and roars in agony as he unleashes the pulse, killing Destoroyah, and himself
Kong, running towards a Hollow Earth portal, hears the blast and turns around to see a mushroom cloud expanding across the whole Hollow Earth, killing hundreds of monsters along the way. Kong makes it out, but barely
This is so wonderfully composed! Gorgeous work! I wish this variation on the original could appear in one of the films some day.
Quinn Red Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it so much!!
I still haven't seen the new movie, but having an old version re-done in the new one can bring about tears for nostalgic viewers :)
The King is dead. His reign was great.
Long live the King. May he reign greater.
Heisei Gojira - 1984-1995
That burning 2014 is amazing
When listening to this, I always picture Godzilla (2014) making his last stand, fighting valiantly, and dying heroically against overwhelming odds of monsters (either the MUTO's of Pacific Rim Kaiju)
Well I picture the scene it's from, the pure embodiment of both rage and compassion breathing his last, the most powerful Godzilla we've seen so far dying without any real resolution to gripes that made him so angry. A death with so much weight it's sure to bring a tear to the eyes of even the most calloused of people
When I listen to this I can picture 2019 Godzilla fighting a new Destroyah
2019 godzilla with mothra could take em

this was the first godzilla movie I watched and it made me cry
This song is epic, its like its saying Godzilla is holding on, but he knows its the very end and he has to go, and its unknown cause he doesnt know whats gonna be on the other side waiting for him.
I was calmed down when I saw Junior revived as the new Godzilla
Aside from Junior's death and Godzilla crying for his son this is one of the saddest damn things I've ever had to watch
Godzilla’s death was sadder than juniors
This feels like the song I hear when I’ve put my ego behind me and have fully become a selfless person with the intent of making the world as best a place as it can possibly be, the way this music happens and how symbolic it is, I feel so emotional coming back to this two years after the year I felt I nearly died, and I wanted to rest in piece finally til I learnt life had a greater meaning than being people’s hero, I wanted to become my true own person
To much power for my own destroyed the destroyer of life and worlds
aah the good old times my favorite godzilla films as a kid and I still watch it long live GODZILLA king of the monsters
There is no death for Him. One body fades away, and another rises to take up the mantle of the one true King of the Monsters.
I’m so playing this very fitting song on my *dad’s funeral* when the time comes that is on the very far future! because since my name is Ramon Jr and my dad is Ramon Sr (it would make obvious since Junior & Senior) so I will feel junior’s pain all the same…

Burning Godzilla 2019: Don’t worry I’ll live (cools down after killing Ghidorah)
well the heisei burning godzilla was significantly more energized and unstable than the kotm one, while the kotm godzilla was able to get it all out, the heisei burning godzilla had so much that his death was inevitable
Burning Godzilla's power level reached planet buster level thats too much for any mortal organism even for Godzilla. Fire Godzilla wasnt really Burning.
Burning Godzilla has nothing to lose he must win his last battle for his honor. Thats why i loved heisei godzilla so much.

Imagine this playing when Mothra sacrificed herself to save Godzilla
Yea
Bruh then that would actually be sad sadder than the theme we got for mothra sacrifice
One of the saddest deaths of cinema history.
This was the most saddest music I heard it brought me to tears it had such beautiful music and sounds added to it good job

Amazing work
I hope they use the "death of Godzilla" theme for the final Legendary film when it comes out... when the 2014 one dies.
acording to toho legendary could only borrow him for the cost that he cannot die
So that mean Godzilla gonna beat king in 2020
@@GojiBoiEarth1964
Legendary is too pussy to give a complete answer.
Very well done, despite being different it gave me almost the same feeling as the original *wipes a tear* brings back some bad memories

A fun plan for the Monsterverse:
Godzilla Vs Kong
Rebirth of Mothra (Mothra vs Battra)
Godzilla 3: Destroy All Monsters
Kong 2: Secrets of Skull Island
Rebirth of Mothra 2
Godzilla: Requiem (the end of the monsterverse) Godzilla’s death but an after credit shows a new Godzilla.
Prequels:
Godzilla BC
So godzilla melts as a teenage doug absorbs his radiation saving the world from exploding and becoming the new godzilla continuing the legacy but not on screen, and yes in our imagination
If Godzilla dies in GvK (which I think that he will), he better go out in a meltdown, and pass the crown to Kong after they team up against another kaiju.
this aged well
i would have gone apeshit if they ended the monsterverse that quickly
O.O WOW THIS IS WONDERFUL MUSIC!!!
If legendary decides kill off Godzilla in their last Godzilla movie, they should do it in the saddest way possible considering that this is the Godzilla that most newer fans grew up with.

PHASE 2:
Rodan (Megaguirus as the antagonist)
Mothra (Megalon as the antagonist)
King Kong (Gwangi as the antagonist)

PHASE 3:
Gamera (The Kraken as the antagonist)
Gorgo (Paleosaurus is the antagonist)
Mothra 2 (Battra as an antagonist, Bagan is the main villain)
Gamera 2 (The Gyaos are the antagonists)
Destroy All Monsters (Destoroyah is created from a combination of the Oxygen Destroyer and the corpse of the Super Gyaos, he pretty much kills all of the titans including Kong, Godzilla sacrifices himself to save the earth.)
