  • Jarryd from ‪@caughtonfishing6623‬ and I head to the local, searching for a fish, or maybe two, but what happened after a quiet start to the morning left us both stunned and turned an average days fishing trip into one that we would not forget in a long time.

Have seen it at night from a lagoon run out tide into the lake but never in the daytime. What a great session, lucky guys. 👍

Great video and a truly epic session. I'm impressed with the way you maintained contact with the shoal and ended up turning one great hook up into several fish landed. I'm in WA and the water you are fishing is so much different to ours, but I'm interested to know if this was in a river estuary, upstream or whatever. Thanks for sharing.

Only ever seen it once. Under the Breakfast Creek bridge. Biggest was from the ground to above my hip. It was over 30 years ago. Using a gold bomber.

Seaworld came down to check it out after fisheries and it had to be humanely put down unfortunately. I'd say they will study it closely to determine cause of death.

This is common in Maroochy river, but I have never got one over 90cm yet. They hang in big schools.
