When in doubt. Get a bigger hammer! Lol
Danielle Manuel it never hurts to have a bfh in your tool box
Freeze the aluminum next time.
I see you are using WD-40 as the lubricate for pushing in the rubber bushings. Might I suggest silicon grease since the silicon grease is not a petroleum based grease. Petroleum based lubes then to speed up the deterioration of the rubber.
Will do! Thanks for that info!
I got this information about ten years ago and have used silicon grease on radiator hoses, bushings, air intake snorkels and have not had a single deterioration issue and future disassembly is easier.
I'm going to go grab some next time I'm at the store!
Freezing the trailing arm bushings first helps alot, just a tip for the next time you find yourself with no press
👍
😲
Good thing you mentioned the offset changing with DA/ other trailing arms/knuckles. A lot of people don't realize that. I went with full DA suspension years ago and honestly regret it now. I'd rather be able to run wider wheel without poking out all dumb.
It's pretty annoying right?! I have DA on my track car and I want to reduce the rubbing. Pretty use some drums with the brackets eventually to lose some of the offset.
Man I’m poking out in the front and the back
Talk about sling some mud!
Eg glides across that mud
I honestly never should have looked at this video. I’m on my way to pick up DA trailing arms for my EF Sedan at a junkyard and boom….. now I don’t want to
They fit great on a sedan. There's a ton of room in the rear compared to a hatch or crx. I had zero issues on my.old.blue sedan. ruclips.net/video/gtqn1O36mss/видео.html
“He noticed is and it’s his car”. 🙏🏽 AMEN
I would've cleaned that thing first and used a press. Glad you finally figured out that standing the board on its end was the way to properly convert the hammer's energy to the bushing.
Had we been at my house the press option would have been my first choice, but we live about 45 minutes from one another and needed to finish the work that day. We can sometimes use our brains and figure stuff out! 😀
I love how he’s teaching him no one taught me nothing
👍
Moving to Spherical RTA Bushings is one of the best mods A ed owner can do. I fucking hated doing it i know that tho. lol
ive had those E111USA lcas on my car for 10 years only mild deformation and minimal cracking parked 5 years aggressive driving for 5 years
putting them on my new chassis now
They've held up well for my friend also. He's been using them the last 3 years and he's finally going to some spherical arms now
Lookin good! He's gonna love it on the track!
I agree, there won't be anything else left to upgrade except a swap!
Great detailed info. Would like to see update video how much suspension tighten up and rides. Also how much noise inside while driving. Definitely got like from me.
I'll definitely update once it gets out to the track!
Perfect timing! I just ripped my trailing arms off to do this
We did this video for you, I forgot to mention it! 😎
A+ job for not bracing the backside when you hammer.
Off topic question for the EF master? Im doing a b18a1 swap into an 89 crx. Internet says the only vacuum lines I need to worry about are the fuel pressure regulator line to the back of the manifold, and the one from the map sensor to the top of the throttle body. The rest can be capped? Just wondering if this will work! Also can I buy another sticker? Lol.
That's correct, and PLEASE!! 💓
EF master👍😎👍... For sure ... -bows down-...
Man, i need those!

@@GarageBuiltHondas dude ty. Think these will work on a cb7? Yeah I'm the Accord guy... Lol. Hey I love your channel though bro you've been my mentor on a couple of things! Ty
👍. I don't know. I'd ask Blox, they could probably tell you fitment.
@@GarageBuiltHondas thx homie
Nice install
To address offset issue, the DC integra trailing arms work, just use the same toe arms from your original car.
Thanks!
Or get a Scarebird rear disc conversion bracket and save the hassle and money. Thats how i went. Works great.
Probably more expensive? $90 for the scare bird brackets, then you have to buy calipers and hubs. I've sold a handful of rear disc sets for $125-150 and have seen some for sale around that price too. Maybe in my area it's cheaper. I've seen people online asking $300-400 for rear discs sometimes
They are very nice. Bet it stiffened up the rear suspension alot
Fuck yeah! This video helped me out big time!
Looks good! Great video!
Thanks buddy
I would totally play auto garage with you guys!
We love the company!
BFH always comes in handy.
All day! 👍
Good video man, hands must be ringing
Not too bad!
Personally i would’ve use a little grease on the bearing & then place the 2 x 4 on top using a air hammer 😅or press
That makes sense too!
i cant wait to hear what the yonaka crx exhaust sounds like i havent ordered mine yet
Did you see that it's 2.5", not 2.25"!? Not sure if it'll sound the same. Hope it's not ricey sounding.
Garage Built Hondas I did see that it’s a 2.5 but since I also had a yonaka on my d16 civic and that was also a 2.5 And it sounded amazing I’m sure it will sound the same on my b20 crx
How do the spherical trailing arm bushings feel compared to a set of regular rubber bushings?
No idea, I haven't used any yet. I'm using Hardrace. Once I get to drive this car I'll give you an update!
Would you say this blox kit is significantly/noticeably better than the energy solid bushings?
For track yes. For daily, no.
Question: I have my 1990 civic with your same rear lower control arm(ball rear lower mount). I see you swapped it out with with the us lower control arm. If I was to do the same do I have to do any mods? Do they bolt right up? Please let me know . Thanks 🙏
I dont understand.
Ok it’s kind of hard to explain sorry... I have a RHD 1990 Honda Civic RT-X 4wd sedan from Japan. The entire front end suspension of the car is the same as the USDM. The rear is the same also except for the rear lower control arm which uses the same control arm as the 1997 Acura type R lower control arm... if I saw correctly you guys had the same lower control arm and swapped it out with the U.S version lower control arm .. so I was wondering if you guys did swap out the rear lower control arm with the USDM did you do any modifications
Zero mods. Bolts right up.
Garage Built Hondas Thank you and thank you for your time
Did the bushings come with the bolts and nuts? And im pretty sure but ima ask, do they fit eg aswell?
Yes, and it does. It only doesn't fit the DA.
Anyone has the part number please
Probably discontinued. Get these instead. Far better quality. jhpusa.com/products/pci-spherical-rear-trailing-arm-kit-v3-88-00-civic-94-01-integra
Nice 👍 info I like you video is gold for me
Thanks Junior!
How was alignment? Ive had something similar in the past but could never get it in spec so i end up going back to oem
We haven't taken it yet. We'll see how it goes!!
@@GarageBuiltHondas update?
Zero issues for us.
The rear LCAs, are they the same as EG/DC?
Yes. Only EK are different.
What B18 Cable Transmission can I pair up the b20b motor with I know the GSR is too expensive any info would be appreciated thanks
Any B series transmission, price and availability are up to you!
Garage Built Hondas not the answer I was looking for but thanks
Lol, what answer were you looking for?
Garage Built Hondas Cable Transmission
Yes, any B series cable transmission will work, also any hydraulic B series cable transmission will work. The only one that probably doesn't work is the one from the older Prelude, but you never find those floating around anyway. It really is your choice depending on what you want to use the car for and what you can afford.
Nice video
Thanks Brian
Instead of beating on the bushing, why not drill the holes and use bolts and large washers to pull the bushing in as you tighten the bolts like a press? Leverage is a mechanics best friend.
where did he get those arm bushings ?
JHP
Great project but I would powder coat the Control arms, knuckles first before putting those bad boys on and onto your CRX
He didn't want to do anything "pretty" since it'll see a lot of rock chips and abuse at the track.
If you ever do something like this again with a piece of aluminum or steel you throw the piece in the freezer and you get a little heat from a small torch and heat up the arm itself and it will go in one shot no problem or even freezing it and just smacking it would have gone a lot easier!!!!!!!
👍 thanks for the input!!
where can I get the brake lines
Here - amzn.to/2G8zCix
Hi can’t you send the name parts you putting on the crx 88
Which part?
👌🏽 thanks 🙏
Next video reviewing it plzzz
Tec 2000 definitely will do a follow-up on the car once it's completely ready to drive!
idk why you didn't just use a socket to bang it in so it went evenly
Damage control. Metal socket on aluminum RTA would leave it all beaten up.
EF life
Men I wanna see the E cable Install, maybe in another time
It's not hard, just gotta feed them in from underneath. Takes a little time but not a super hard job.
Garage Built Hondas dou you if I can use the E cable of the civic si hb 1993-1995?
They'll be a little long but you can probably loop them.
Garage Built Hondas thanks men
You're welcome

How'd it going gbh
Yo!
im dying to know if those blox spherical bushing are worth it
ricardo casal I have PCI Spherical (on my race car) & they are definitely worth it!
PCI ftw
Asr revolver is a nice piece too.
That one just looks so cool also!
Jonathan Robles what’s asr revolver?
What event??
ASR Superlap. ruclips.net/video/bgahjda8raM/видео.html
I just dont see how those (which are basically heim joints) wont be all sloppy in a few years.... they look sweet but in no way will last like an oem rubber bushing...
I don't believe they are intended for extended use. Companies never recommend spherical for daily usage as they'll wear out faster. This car is being built as a track only fun car. It won't be driven daily, this it should last a decent amount of time for his intended use. But you're right, they definitely don't last like urethane/rubber bushings do. They will perform better though until they are worn out.
My fuel gauge in my 91 Accord is going up and down. What's wrong??? )0':
Broken sending unit, maybe even a broken gauge cluster.
Thank you!I don't know who else to ask and you literally know EVERYTHING about Hondas! I'm working on the problem. I'm afraid to take the fuel unit out of the gas tank. I don't want to blow myself up.
My family and the neighbors think I'm crazy for restoring a 91 Accord, but it is SO straight ans clean. It had one owner who was an old lady and the interior looks new. But she NEVER did maintenance. She didn't even do one oil change! I took it to a shop and they disassembled the entire motor without me asking and said it has zero issues, and put in all new gaskets and it's pretty powerful. But I want total restoration before I modify anything.
I'm learning a lot from your videos and really appreciate you out here in California!
I'm not familiar with the Accord of that generation but it might be accessible under the rear seat. If it is it'll be an easy replacement. Having to drop the gas tank is a whole different story. 🤕
👍👌👊✌
put your purse down and swing! lol
Lol
Get a mallet !!!!!
For real
Drilling a holes into a trailing arms?? Thats a nop nop ..Energy suspension ..have some more eficients than those ..no drilling required
Energy Suspension RTS's create snap oversteer. Google it, read about it. That's a no-no for a track car.
Rip all this low quality parts
Which ones do you not like?
Garage Built Hondas God speed. Everyone hates them in 240 community. Not s good brand. Also the only one to use on a ED is SPC they are longer than the others.
I have a good friend who auto-x's and also tracks his 8th gen out here at least 6-10 times per year. He is on the Godspeed Monomax coils and he loves them. No issues yet. We'll see how these toe arms hold up. I've been using the PWJDM toe arms on my 90 Si for the track and those have been excellent too, no issues. We'll report back after it gets out to the track for the first time.
Nice video and #first lol
I don't like it when people vlog on a how to video.
Could've used the stock you made as well would've made it a price a peice of cake
I know!! I was 45 minutes across town at his house unfortunately.
