brother ik when you're younger, it's alot harder to stand up to authority because you're probably not familiar with the actual "rules" of adult society and your "rights" and such, but let's just say that if you were an adult, and you had physical proof to back up some of the things you're saying here, I'd say to you that this is the easiest lawsuit of all time, because some of this stuff is a clear violation of your rights, and is just ridiculous, but obviously when you're younger, schools treat kids differently, have different rules, and generally do act like you don't have rights and that they can control your life, at least that's how it was for me in HS lol, but then as an adult, i realized that school was more like a prison with it's level of rules and restrictions compared to general society and that there was suddenly a big difference and that they had been violating most of the kids rights the whole time in many different ways. So basically, I'd advise you or your parents to lawyer up if this kind of harassment continues being an issue, because they legally cannot take your property from you if it's not a banned weapon, they can't stop you and search you without probable cause and police present, they can't stop you from leaving without probable cause and police to detain you, etc. And I can't believe they'd be making this big of a deal about a trainer toy, it's not a real knife and you're clearly using it just for practicing tricks and not as a weapon, and it's only purpose is to act as a stand in for a knife that exists almost exclusively for tricks and not as a weapon so the seems like a clear abuse of power to me. They seemingly don't want you to have it, just because they don't like it and don't want anyone going outside their "rules" of what they've deemed appropriate? Which seems oppressive just to be oppressive and i can definitely understand that since something similar happened to me when i was in HS (playing online chess tournaments on their computers, never in class tho always during free time, still almost got expelled lol). Principles in particular nowadays seem to view themselves as some sort of grand moral authority over all children, and don't like kids doing anything or learning any skills outside their approved list of activities, it's very weird.
I was told I'd get suspended and/or arrested for bringing a trainer to my school but this kid walks around whipping scissors around like he's from an anime or smthn and he's fine 🙄 schools are out for us
My school literally allows people to carry tactical pens. The ones that have a glass breaker, multi tool, an actual pen, and a flashlight. I CARRY one of those daily and use them in class too. Including the scalpel attachment for projects. yet someone got expelled for bringing a Balisong comb. Also people tend to bring pepper spray. And don’t get this sort of shit. Hell someone even brought a GARROTE WIRE.
Hey man nice vid, also you're not alone I know how it feels to be slandered by school authority and having to argue with them in your defense. I also know how it feels ti be mistreated for watching Balisong vids and practicing the hobby. We're in this together partner. The community has your back!
I've played this out in my head many times, like if i was in the office and the principle was giving me the talk about how i couldn't flip the squiddy in school and i was getting expelled. I came to the conclusion that if he told me that i was getting expelled, i would just say, "Well then i don't think this school is the best fit for me in the first place. Thank you for your time, and have a nice life." And then i would walk out of his office and drive home.
Schools should consider that many everyday items: pencils, pens, scissors, etc. can be just as or more dangerous than balisongs or even trainers. If they have a problem with students carrying trainers in school, ban all handheld school supplies along with them. My point is, yes you can do damage with a balisong/trainer, but who says you can't do damage by stabbing someone with a pencil for example. In fact, that's probably worse lmao
My school literally allows people to carry tactical pens. The ones that have a glass breaker, multi tool, an actual pen, and a flashlight. I CARRY one of those daily and use them in class too. Including the scalpel attachment for projects. yet someone got expelled for bringing a Balisong comb.
you should have looked at the law in your state for what is considered a knife, and then tell her to call the police once they see that it does not fit the knife category they can't do anything about it.
Squid industries markets the squiddy as a toy, so it is safe to flip pretty much anywhere in the world, so it literally cannot be clasified as a knife.
Bro, I have a squiddy trainer and i brought it to school saying it was a figit toy, none of the teachers minded except the principal, which is understandable because he said it was loud and disturbing other people, and it does, but he didn’t take it at all, most teachers thought it was cool
People who think bali trainers are actual weapons are idiots. I brought my bali to school once and all I got was a "if *insert teacher name here* is cool with you having that so am I". but then some "safety officer" (it's a middle school there's no need for them) sees me with it and shakes her head (she was a cool person in general) and does nothing else. But the fact that the people at that school wanted to *take* the glowmod is just baffling.
If you're an A student and flipping outside the buildings not sure why they would care. Same a juggling, not cool in class or anywhere that might be disruptive, but outside, why not. I think getting through school, getting an education, college or a trade school so you can get a good job or start your own business should be a priority over flipping. Balisongs are awesomely fun, but probably no going to make a lot of money flipping. No matter how good you are or will get.
absolute fuckin sigma!!! This is my first time coming across your channel and really this hobby in general but judging from the way you talk and your confidence I'm sure that you will become one of the best 👍
I see why with both sides, especially about weapons, there was just a gun thing recently around the school, it was scary. I honestly just spin my homemade pen mod at school to keep it safe or make a pen Balisong. Make sure to keep safe bro :3
Honestly, it makes me frustrated when all forms of a balisong are considered dangerous knives or weapons. Like dude I flip this fun toy bc it makes me happy chill out
i dont really get it, schools ban plenty of thing that dont realy make sence allt he time like fidget toys or even my old school banned certain food but is it really worth switching schools and having to make new friends over? like just flip your shit when no-ones looking or if that becomes a problem like would be the end of the world to just not flip at school?
I once brought an actual live blade balisong to a private school in like 6th grade. Straight up wrong to bring a weapon but as a child I didn't believe in trainers and so I brought it to school. I knew it wouldn't end well if I actually flipped it so I just showed it off to some friends but word ended up spreading and I was sent to the principles. Surprisingly chill principle, I think she could see I wasn't malicious. I'm pretty sure I was kept in the principals room for multiple weeks, having school work sent down and stuff, but on the very day of I just had to wait until my dad showed up and he talked to the principle. Knife was confiscated from me, but my dad gave it back after school was over. It's crazy how you still caught shit even though you brough a dull knife, quite literally a toy at that point. You could do more damage throwing a book than you could would a stabbing motion using said trainer.
This happened to me before but a couple of security guards were fine with it because it was a harmless squiddy. But when I flipped a popsicle stick balisong I got it confiscated because it was “endangering those around you”
I once got caught by my somewhat annoying English teacher (where I have full marks btw) and she just took it from me and told my parents about it. she said I could have hit and/or hurt someone, since it's was a metal trainer, even if it was blunt. I didn't get grounded, expelled or even a detention, but I still don't get why she had a problem with it, since ALL other teachers didn't care. my parents and myself made sure I never bring it to school again because I don't want to get expelled from high school (high school starts at 15 years old in Serbia)
There are butterfly combs you could try using but then again the school will make up some bullshit excuse on why they you are not able to use it. Also mad respect to you standing your own ground in this situation.
Probably because you filmed the video. My school has a very strict policy on video taping or just taking pictures. Like, legal action (state of PA) can be taken.
Funny enough I actually had to look up the laws when I was in PA on filming 😂 cause I was having issues with people going off on me for bringing a squiddy to a summer camp and basically I looked up the law to see if I could film them swearing and screaming at me 😂
Getting expelled for something as tame as a squiddy makes me scared about my nautilus. I've met some of the teachers at the school i'm about to start at and they seem cool to be honest. Given the fact that a good few students seem like they would vape or smoke on school grounds I can't imagine they would give the first airborne ass chunk about a kid flipping a balisong. But gawd damn schools just seem so pathetic about it. Not to mention that some random kid that saw me for 6 seconds could suddenly decide that I killed 30 people with it by just owning it and then crying about it to someone while creatively roping in the time that they were traumatized by someone when they had a goofy ass fantasy about them and got them arrested. But hey, what happens, happens.
reminds me, there was a girl in my grade that has like half a mil subs or something and she would vlog from school but she started filming people without permission and uploading it. Because of her the school put up signs in all of the classrooms saying no filming or recording is allowed. Idk if/how she was punished for that but yeah. Our school started enforcing a policy bc of her.
It really is irritating the lengths people will go through just to not let others do their hobbies or things they're interested in, like sure, a balisong is associated with a bladed weapon.....but you can very clearly tell that a squiddy ISN'T bladed OR a weapon, it's quite literally a toy that you can flip, and I'd understand if it was a distraction or if it were loud, but he made sure that it WASN'T distracting other people, he literally went out of his way to make sure that he was allowed to use it and that he wouldn't let it distract himself or others, but yet here he is getting expelled and getting threatened with a police call.....for playing with a toy
fidget spinners, poppets, and any other plastic fidget toys are perfectly fine, but a plastic dull spinning finger strength stick is for some reason a pawn from hell.
I got my balisong yoinked off me because someone took it and started stabbing someone, so the teacher took it and locked it in a safe where it still lies today
If they call the police for you "using a deadly weapon and threatening people" that they know is a dull as hell blade that couldn't cut butter then that is filing a false police report which comes with jail time and a fine depending on the state and you could also sue them for defamation.
like i understand not letting someone use a balisong in school, a squiddy i understand a bit less but hey some schools dont allow fidget spinners ether, what gets me is that they said yes, and then went back on that
Well in the u.s., a balisong is considered to be a switchblade, which are highly illegal in the u.s., so it's not that surprising, even though it's a trainer. I would know, this happened to me before. You're lucky you weren't expelled or suspended on the spot.
depends on the state, not all laws are countrywide here. for example they're super duper legal in Georgia as well as all other types of knives so long as the blade doesn't exceed 12 inches in length
Dumb fucking reason to get in trouble. Especially if it's a squiddy or a glow mod. How is a squiddy or glow mod any type of threat at all. And for me my Bali's actually help me focus. Props for standing tall though
Almost happened to me 😢 luckily he understood it doesn’t have a blade but did tell me not to bring it ever again. It was still stupid tho because he related it to bringing a gun without bullets 🤷♂️
Bruhhh, my squiddy got taken away. But the thing is I wasn’t even using it during class, so I couldn’t possibly bother the class. A squiddy is no where near a weapon, it’s literally three dull pieces of plastic attached together. Keyword: Dull
I will not give too much away about this on my side but I know from experience that getting in trouble at school for a misunderstanding is stupid and bullshit
I came to something like this without getting expelled but the principal got mad about my squiddy and told the teachers to tell the people with them to put them away or if we dont to take them away, I had a teacher come to a DIFFERENT TEACHERS ROOM to take the squiddy away. This was close to the end of the school so I got it taken away for around 2 weeks until my mom went to the principal and ripped his shit. The teacher that took my squiddy without warning in another teachers class left the next year and I do not miss her at all.
I live in netherlands and almost had the same situtation but with a wooden balisong, If it was my evryday flipper i woud no more have to go to that school
i had a incident with the police a few weeks ago some old dude was saying im threatening him and stabbing ppl so the police had to take my gale jian and orca all trainers mind you i got them back but im going to get into begleri i think thats how its spelt as i used balisongs to cope with my anxiety and adhd
I brought a squiddy, and I had to hide it most of the day because everyone was like, oh my gosh you shouldn’t have that here. Even though the squiddy looks more like a toy lol
Kinda wanted to bring a comb version to school but I ain't trynna get fucked over because they use some logic like, "Well if the comb isn't out, it looks like the actual knife version," which my school is known for. Had my friend put my face on a Tommy Gun because that's my name and they took his Chromebook for a long ass time because "It looked like it was pointing the gun at my head," which wasn't true at all. This also caused him to fail because he couldn't do most of the work. This is during beginning Covid when things were looking better so they let people in school but wanted to be hella sanitary
Butterfly knives are legal in most states. At that point just let the lady at your second school call the police if you live in the states where balisongs are legal
do you live in a northern state. I live in Texas and my kids have plastic balisongs in school all the time without an issue. I Have family that lives in maryland, they catch hell for having balisongs in school. Never give anything to the schools, I tell my kids to never give them something that is theres. If they want me to come and get something that is fine, but never give them anything. Even if they call the police. Im glad my last kid is almost done with school she is a senior now. anyway great video bro. I wouldn't give up either.

But hey, what happens, happens.
Man school is just full of bs
reminds me, there was a girl in my grade that has like half a mil subs or something and she would vlog from school but she started filming people without permission and uploading it.
Yeah so same thing happened to me two weeks ago, you’ll regret it. Luckily I didn’t get suspended but rather just a call from my parents.
Considering that when I was still in elementary school I got in trouble for a fidget spinner so I'm not surprised
Oh man does that one sound good af! Which one is it? I'm gonna buy one lol.
Brs barebones
that shit can ruin your life dude wtf. like who dose that snitching is not necessary
whats the balisong u have in the video? and is it a good trainer?
Brs barebones and yea it’s my fav flipper
I probably would’ve just poked myself with the knife to show it was a dull knife thingy
I did lmao
You just earned a free sub
Yikes broski I’m gonna pull up with my squidy for you
This is exactly why I hate the fucking public school system :)
That exactly happened to me!
DONT BRING A TRAINER TO SCHOOL * brings a real knife *
I got my balisong yoinked off me because someone took it and started stabbing someone, so the teacher took it and locked it in a safe where it still lies today
If they call the police for you "using a deadly weapon and threatening people" that they know is a dull as hell blade that couldn't cut butter then that is filing a false police report which comes with jail time and a fine depending on the state and you could also sue them for defamation.
when i heard the part where the woman said she was gonna get you arrested for threatening people, i said "if you're homeless, just buy a house."
Literally
I was flipping a squiddy and the arm broke flinging the dull blade across the classroom
like i understand not letting someone use a balisong in school, a squiddy i understand a bit less but hey some schools dont allow fidget spinners ether, what gets me is that they said yes, and then went back on that
I hate how they said GIVE IT UP or get arrested like its some 1950s detective movie
this made me sub
nice
Thx
thats how I found your channel
Thank you 🙏
Keep doin more flippin vids don’t give up try a school in another state if u have to but don’t stop
Thank you
man i would just do online school by then
I get too bored
Nice Vid, what trainer aree u using in ur vid?
Brs barebones
Whatever ya-know. Don't bother with school, You are just wasting their time .
Glad I'm outta school lol... but sad I didn't get into flipping earlier
Bros not even bringing actual knifes to school and the teachers be trippin and sayin "That's a dangerous weapon that can harm people"
Yes make a flipping in school!
i had a incident with the police a few weeks ago some old dude was saying im threatening him and stabbing ppl so the police had to take my gale jian and orca all trainers mind you i got them back but im going to get into begleri i think thats how its spelt as i used balisongs to cope with my anxiety and adhd
im the same way balisongs help me with my adhd and autism
Your allowed to leave any school ground at any given time
Exactly
I need to register my squiddy as a service Bali. Like come on how can a plastic, no blade shape having, Bali be dangerous
i got suspended for a mako v4 becuase "iT cAn pOkE sOmeOnEs eYe oUt" and also "its a trainer for the real thing" and ig that considered me a threat
do you live in a northern state.
