I’m a owner operator in SA Texas. Private property impounding is my business direction. You hit the head on the nail in your videos. Thank you sir for relieving me from thinking I’m the only guy feeling the challenges of the industry. Long story short thank you.
The fatalities/serious injuries are the hardest ones, I had a guy getting things out of his car and he points to the passenger head rest from the back seat and says "This is what busted my sons skull open... Not that you care." I had absolutely no idea what to say, Its hard to deal with people in these situations, you know its hard on them, very hard, and I know what they are going through, And you want their families to have a full speedy recovery, but they are emotional, and they are often passively aggressive or really emotional and it's hard to deal with sometimes, It's hard to know what to say, it's hard to deal with the thought of the scene or what you may have seen on the scene, etc. You will see blood, you may see bodies at some point, you will see absolutely mangled vehicles, the same crash with the guy I described, I had to pick up the plastic off the road and i picked up one piece and underneath was a puddle of blood that got all over my glove, that is the kind of shit you have to deal with..
I just got my tow truck your videos have helped me understand and also gave me great ideas I really would love to ask a couple more questions but thanks it’s cause of people like you that I want to grow this business I’m going to start
I really appreciate it bro I just quit my job to buy me my first tow truck still in the process of doing paperwork but it's a lot but you gave me the confidence that I know I can do this I appreciate it so much

I've been towing for 8 years (mostly heavy) wanting to start my own in arkansas where I live. But thinking bout starting in light duty just to keep the over head as low as possible. Im afraid that if i start in a heavy per arkansas rotation rules that ill have to be in 500k or more of debt just to jump on rotation list here so im thinking ill start with a ram 5500 rollback or something smaller to just do roadsides or rotations. Ive never owned my own business so I dont have a clue where to start a business up but hopefully soon. Im currently running a rotator in the oil field so trying to save up some cash to have in my back pocket just incase
You’ve got the primary stuff to go - the desire and the equipment background. Just know going in, your “own business” will be over regulated by the state, county SO and local PD. Not to mention the insurance companies who are basically telling the aforementioned how to regulate you. But if it’s what’s in your heart, dive in! I’ve been in the business my entire adult life, since 1976 and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Middletown NY you’re right by me lol small world I’m by Montague NJ by Matamourus PA. I want to be a solo operator is that possible? Wouldn’t mind if possible sitting down with you sometime and asking some questions if you’re cool with that? Thanks
Nile that's what you don't want to do I was just told when you do repos you got to worry about getting a gun pulled out on you and etc I wouldn't want to do that any way
