      Ah that song broke my heart! I listened to it when it first came out, couldn’t listen to it again until many years later when the film BoRap came out. Very upsetting, but a truly fitting tribute to Freddie. ❤️

    The drummer’s name is Roger Taylor. It’s him that you hear singing the high Galileos in Bohemian Rhapsody. He has a wonderful falsetto which you’ll see showcased in In The Lap Of The Gods live at the Rainbow. You would also have heard him singing the backing vocals in Somebody to Love when you did the Montreal version. He’s done some solo work too, as well as Brian. But on a different note, next Tuesday is the 29th anniversary of our beloved Freddie’s death. Could you do something special from their Made In Heaven album which was released after his death, using all the tracks he had recorded for them while he could still work. Mother Love was the last one he ever did, it’s so beautiful but so sad knowing he couldn’t finish it. Brian had to sing the last verse. 💛💛 yellow hearts for Freddie’s favourite colour

  • @Anisabell2

    Hi my favorite boyzzzzz :-) This is a wonderful and powerful song, and Freddie sings it with such a raspy, strong voice. At thos time he was very sick, and that beard was to hide the signs and scars of the AIDS treatments he was doing. But even though he has such an energy and will to sing and to give all of the world the besr songs and performances he could.
    He was the most amazing person.
    Forever love for Freddie Mercury ❤❤❤💖💖💖

    One of my favorite Queen songs. I LOVE Freddie's voice in this one. And you can't tell at all that Freddie's sick here, he loojs amazing. ❤ If you want to hear more of Brian singing check out 39(the lyric video).

    • @1944bwa
      @1944bwa 2 года назад

      It is actually easy to see he is ill. He is bloated from the medication, and he is using a standing mic which gives him help standing. He also has his scruffy beard which was grown to help hide ravages if AIDS.

    • @sannaolsson9106
      @sannaolsson9106 2 года назад +1

      @@1944bwa His face is just rounder, which can easily be explained as a bit of weight gain and not something you would think was an illness if you didn't know he was ill. The way they shot the music video has nothing to do with him being ill since by this time he had no problem walking around. Just look at Headlong which was two tears later. His illness had gotten way worse there and he was running around and being very energetic. His beard can be seen as him just wanting a beard and a change of looks and not something you'd suspect was because he had AIDS. All these things you mention is because you know he was sick. If you don't know then it's not something your mind would go to which was my point.

    On Tuesday 24th, it is the anniversary of Freddie’s death 😥😔 I think it time for you to watch Mother Love. It was the last song Freddie ever recorded. He was very ill by this time, he sang the first two verses but needed to rest saying he would come back and finish the rest later, but sadly was never able to. Brian sang the last verse after Freddie was gone. The last part of the song is a compilation of all their songs merged together and sped up. Also included is a little part of Goin’ Back which was one of the first songs Freddie recorded under the name Larry Lurex. It is absolutely gut wrenching for Freddie fans and I can see you two have become fans yourselves, so just be ready. Having said all that though, it is a beautiful song, Freddie’s voice is breathtaking and I love it even though I always cry. Don’t do the official music video though, it’s kind of weird and just distracting so I’d recommend the lyric video instead. Loving your reactions guys, please keep them coming

    This song is written by Brian May. His then girlfriend, now wife, used to say "I want it all and I want it now." Brian has an excellent voice. He sings lead on many of his own songs on the 70s albums. Listen to '39 Official video and Sleeping on the Sidewalk. Roger Taylor is the drummer. That is beer on the drums which is what he used to do in the 1974 concerts. He has a great high tenor voice and one in a million falsetto. Listen to In the Lap of the Gods Live at the Rainbow 1974 for his incredible backing vocals and I'm In Love With My Car Live in Montreal 1981 where he sings lead. He also sings lead on many of his own songs on the earlier albums. Drowse is great.

    Yep, don’t we “want it all”! This was inspired by Brian’s wife, Anita after seeing the popularity of Queen. She is/was an actress, well known in England. We said, “I want it al, and I want it all”. You should take a listen to this with AL from their last tour. It starts with a vocal duet between Adam and Brian’s guitar. I love it!

    This is such a good song, written by Brian. Freddie brought his A game for this song even though he was so sick he had a hard time standing for any length of time. Freddie kept asking his band members to write songs for him to sing and that they could do whatever they wanted with them later on. Freddie grew a beard to cover the karpie's sarcoma spots on his face caused by AIDS. He was the best all the way to the end. RIP Freddie. That is Roger Taylor on the drums and he is one of the best drummers in Rock. That is beer on his drums.

    They were all vocalists, less so John Deacon on bass guitar so it is a little unusual seeing him lend his vocals in this track. But Roger Taylor (drums) and Brian May (lead guitar)contributed heavily to the vocals on their records. In fact if you’ve ever watched the set they performed at the Live Aid charity concert in 1985 (considered by most to be the best rock set in history) it’s worth pointing out that Freddie had been told by doctors not to do the show because he was suffering with laryngitis, of course he ignored them and wasn’t 100% but you’d never know it. It is testimony to the rest of the band that they were so good that day, they were able to fill in and back up Freddie. Tigers Taylor has got quite a good range vocally including a pretty damn good falsetto 😊

  • @celticpoet21

    This song was used in the Grubhub commercials. Brian May is not only a wizard on the guitar, and a poet with lyrics, but has a beautiful singing voice! He sang lead for some day one day, sail away sweet sister, leaving home ain't easy, sleeping on the sidewalk, all dead, all dead, partial vocals for "Who wants to live forever", Long away, She makes me (stormtroopers in stilettos), Good Company, the final verse for Mother Love, and '39, which I give my highest recommendation. Brian also has wonderful solo work and these days he also sings Love of my life and Teo Toriatte.

    Brian wrote it in 1988 when he was going through a difficult emotional time in his life. It's a absolutely heartbreaking song.
    There are two versions of this song, one sang by Freddie / Queen (1989)
    ruclips.net/video/IL9h1SD_2FA/видео.html
    and one by Brian (1992)
    ruclips.net/video/rNa5kRX45tg/видео.html
    Two different characters singing the same song!
    When you listen to the version Brian May sings, you realize how good a singer he is

    Look forward to your reaction .

    It was Brian's girlfriend at the time (Anita Dobson - who is now his wife) that said the phrase "I want it all and I want it now" to Brian and they captured it for this song. They presented her with a gold disc of the record when it was awarded.

Great reaction as usual Boyz...even better than usual...glad to see you enjoyed it too!! Just love this song but it is sad to see Freddie looking sick like that. They dressed him in baggy clothes and used makeup and a slight beard to hide the karposi sarcoma cancer spots. I guess he collapsed after they finished but he wasn’t done yet...still had more to say lyrically. Might want to try Princes of the Universe. It’s from Highlander. They used it in both the tv series and the movie. 🇨🇦🖖🏻🥰💥
