This grey market is dying because everyone playing nowadays treats it like an investment opportunity/gambling simulation first and a tactical FPS afterwards The items with rarity in CSGO came from the fact the game wasn’t as popular and has less players, less supply of skins and stickers because of this Nowadays the game is more popular than ever and millions of players, their alt accounts and their Chinese bot farms are grinding case drops and skins Way too much supply all of a sudden and it’s inadvertently tanking skins that would otherwise be pretty expensive Look at the AK-47 Inheritance and M4A1-S Fade, they’d be more valuable if there weren’t tens of thousands of them being traded up to/unboxed everyday
What are you talking? They even added a new case with the armory and valve would shoot their own foot if they try to get rid of cases and their skin market value because they are the direct profitiers.
Your points are all correct. Just like with all the other gambling sites there ever was. With enough of publicity, the community can bring down any of these sites down. It just requires some big enough youtuber. But whats the point anyway, if you kill one gambling site, there will be 3 more to replace it.
I do not support gambling. But I wont mind if you take those sponsors. End of the day, people who wanna gamble, will. You should make more money doing this.
I really don't understand what's happening to this game. On one hand, Valve is putting a lot of effort into coming out with new maps, fixes and new content in general, but on the other hand, it seems like they are intentionally trying to kill the market and the item culture, basically slowly phasing out what makes them the most money. They're either extremely stupid and detach from the community or, for whatever reason, they do it intentionally. I have about 8k hours in csgo and I used to be an avid player/collector. This time, I didn't even buy the major pass and had no idea when the major happened. I just saw a video on yt that Spirit won. I tried to start the game just to check it out and it started downloading like 10GB of updates! I shut it down immediately and moved on lol.
@@nbshftr I was talking about skins not cases. Just like it was said in this video, there's no more "special" skins. Nothing is rare and desirable anymore. The magic is gone.
@@jordan2104 I bought the pass but barely watched the major at all. I just don't care as much anymore and I'm selling my knife and other skins. I don't see much investing potential like back in the day skins have been pretty stagnant and the major is so uninteresting and the same sticker capsules every year just is soooo lazy. The newest skins aren't even iconic really anymore. Nothing like the Dragon Lore or Gungnir has come out in years. No missions for operations or anything, the game is so plain and the ranking system is awful. I hope it gets better.
@@jordan2104 Its not that there are no special items, its that everyone that grew up with CS:GO can afford these special items now and they are not that special. Dragon Lore on release was not even that expensive considering how comically rare it was to get it, for example. Not sure how much a bluegem AK was, but I am sure it could not be more than a thousand when a regular case hardened was going for 10 bucks. The only things imo that got kinda ruined are stickers and souvenir skins but personally dont care about those that much
Valve is not killing the market and rare items the players are everyone wants to invest in new items hoping they will be rare some day but with a large majority of the players doing so its doing the opposite the only way newer items will become rare in the future is if less people invest in newer items or a bunch of items get lost on trade banned accounts valve is trying to actually do the opposite and keep the market alive with the armory pass by creating a smaller window to get these items so items can be more rare thats why they trade banned a lot of people that participated in the glitched game modes that would allow you to earn 5 armory passes worth of stars in a single game thats why valve also doesn't allow the purchase of armory stars so people actually have to play and earn them making it harder to get the stars to obtain these items
Happy to see you grinding on the channel bro keep up the good work!!

I think they pushed good updates, renting will boost case openings for sure
how does this kill the item culture? if someone is stupid enough to rent a skin and burn that case, the supply decreases and becomes more valuable?
