You can definitely change your talents by 1800 io. It's expected that even the noobiest pug can realize they have talents 😂
Yeah IDK, I love Jak, but this series felt so stupid for no reason. Honestly don't know where this self-imposed rule to not change talents came from, when a) zero to hero challenges are fun enough on their own, and b) it felt like he's actively griefing his teams by missing crucial tools (especially for certain affixes), which then puts even more strain on the group and invokes even more toxicity.
Glad it's gone, it feels much better without.

Did and 18 TotT on an alt today. Dps warrior pulled an extra pack while complaining the tank didnt pull enough. He then died, since the group followed the tank. Warrior was pissed. We said "let the tank pull, no rush". His response was "if either of you say anything else, I will leave". So we all replied asking him what his problem was, and who hurt him. He left and spammed us with profanities.
We then steamrolled the run with 2 dps, and went on with our lives.

Those dps are the worse pulling for the tank then crying about wipes whe most keys you can easily time even with pulling big or extremely fast.
I left an AD yesterday on Vol'Kaal. no one interrupted boss, so everyone had 3 stacks of dot, and failed totems 3x. I kept saying, totems need to be at the same time. after the 3x i just bubble hearthed. group failed on Rezan and this was a +16
You’re telling me! I was in a pug raid last night heroic, tanked all the trash up to gnarlroot waiting for the other tank and few other people. As we got to gnarl I said “quick bio brb” (a #1) and was immediately kicked. My friend showed me the ss of someone saying to kick me as soon as I said that like wtaf. I hadn’t even afk’d and said “why though” in say to no response. Unbelievably toxic. I know you meant M+ though
The Pally dying after talking shit was so funny.

I absolutely hate doing AD on Tyran only because of Yazma and those dam spiders as melee
If the tank pulls the boss properly and preferably nobody is standing in the middle or in the path of the tank, it is not an issue. Of course this scenario rarely happens, usually it is a hot mess.
It's not really fair of you to judge on them not doing the affixes when you are purposely trolling by choosing to not play a standard build ...
LOL when Jak says "come on, you bots" to the pug players, so relatable. I think it would honestly be a preferable experience to play with those bots in arenas than some pug groups when they get mean. Can you get banned for playing with bots in M+ even if you are not botting on the same acc?
Pugging tyrannical AD usually goes super smooth or just a shitshow at Yazma
What's wild is its always the people who are average maybe a touch above average that are the most toxic and need the reality check. Think they're much better than they are and would rather argue and whine waste a ton of time instead of playing and just finishing the key.
Imagine taking the time to type out some sarcastic response about dying to a mechanic and within 2 seconds you die also 🙄But hey at least your overall damage is legit!
It's probably because they surround themselves with worse players so think they're gods. That kinda creates a, "I'm amazing at this game, and everyone tells me, so I'm definitely not the problem" mindset.
Hyped for 2500-3000 push! Don’t know jack about healing but lets go!
The full pug experience. I was healing a 20 TOTT with my paladin alt. The tank pilled like a maniac, 1 dps was actually interrupting etc. We come to the shaman boss, the tank dies instantly when the 1. Totem arrived. I am rezzing him, dispelling the dps and trying to keep everyone alive. He dies again instantly at the totem we wipe. We try again and the same thing happens. He writes: man you can't heal and leaves... this happens a lot unfortunately until you push 23 and upwards... pug toxicity towards healers especially is wild sometimes. But of course, what do I know about healing with a 3.3k mai heal, compared to a tank with 2.0k rio and no main?
4:38 to 4:53 this is something I've experienced a ton while playing WoW. People just watch MDI or mythic raiding stuff, apply it to pugs and go batshit crazy when it doesn't work. "It works when my guild does it" or similar comments (with added toxicity) are normal.
I still don't understand why every pally I've ever seen in that dungeon acts the fool when I say "when the spider adds get out of control pop ur bubble and soak them all" ( on the final boss)

is it possible for an addon to explain things in detail as to why the group failed so that we don't have to waste as much time telling them? I wish blizzard would make an interface that explains why things went wrong.

But people need to normalize. Hopping in voice in pugs. It would probably turn around a lot of keys like this.
I'm sure someone in the group could have made 2 calls and saved these. Obviously for ur challenge u wouldn't do the calls u would stay silent.
But I wonder how much faster you would get to these high rankings if u mandated voice with the pugs
Grove Guardians are not as good as details shows. They don't provide that much single target as details shows. Most or their healing is little healing over the time they're active when people aren't that low in health and they overheal a lot because the higher you go you can't afford to let people be healed up slowly by Grove Guardians. They do a tiny bit of AoE healing with the tier set too. Resto Druid is not designed for PuGs. It's designed for groups that do everything perfectly so you only have a few moments of healing and the rest of the time you're just doing dmg. It is also a lot more reliant on people pressing defensives at times because you do not have as much single target healing as other healers. For example, a hpriest would almost never struggle with wracking pain no matter the difficulty but Rdruid definitely does struggle when you get to +26 and above

Yeah, I got so sick of toxicity in PUGs that I left it and, as that was my main source of fun in the game, I left the game with it, DF has been specially toxic in my opinion, and I have played all seasons since Legion, so I can compare. In the end, I was not in the mood to use my short resting time in unfinished M+ and a lot of s... from other players. I will probably come back for next expansion, though, and try again hoping things change in that regard.

I 💯 left a 20 EB last week due to having to kick revitalize after 2 casts got off then the 4th got off. Spriest joined me for tank charge, BM died by staying in toxic pool and I was out dpsing the 485 BM on my DK tank in overall. I'd had enough and said im out.
Welcome to PUG life, grats on hero. When I tank on PUGs I keep the pulls simple, if I see the group is CC’ing and Interrupting I add more to the pulls, if not I keep it simple and controlled. When I’m healing it’s a a complete cluster, I basically just move some talents around to give me more throughput in pugs my expiration is nothing will be CCed or interrupted.
Every time I see something like that, I feel like I can only pug-heal as a resto shaman. At least I'd have enough tools to deal with most mechanics myself, healing might be just a secondary mission at that point... 😂

I mean, if a player doesn’t understand the idea of reading his talent tree to choose the best abilities that are useful, there is absolutely no possible way they are climbing to 2500.
There just isn’t a way. I can appreciate the personal challenge to try this run handicapped though. That’s going hard

I am not a bad player by any means but the few times i have attempted to do keys I see people saying things like that to others and its caused me to have "social anxiety" in small groups with a severe fear or rejection. I have to have therapy and anxiety meds after trying to do keys >.< the reason i get so stressed out is im the damn healer.. I am usually a raider only as a result. Main is disc priest, second main is MW monk, 3rd main is Rdruid and Balance. =D

Can recommend WoWMadeEasy (US) or No Pressure (EU) discords. They were pretty much made for this case.
quickest way to deal with that is to stop giving a shit, you'll never interact with the same person in a pug ever, so w/e bad interaction you might get with them it's meaningless. But if you rather be somebody that nobody has a reason to complain about, then you just gotta become that player, put the time in, study, practice, and play better than them, but it has to become from your own desires
Hiding your action bars will help with a cleaner UI
Wouldnt worry about changing talents, shouldnt be a restriction. Its kinda just griefing your party lol

@@topleveldnd you want them to change the default build each time they introduce a new tier set, that adapts to the tier set, a tier set that some people might not even use?
@@luisibarra7656It's not just the tier set really. It's that the default build doesn't even use grove guardians which they tuned the rest of the talent tree around, made the tier set and also will be the focus of the hero talents when we get those. Kinda baffling.
@@luisibarra7656 blizzard loves to contradict itself, first they say tier sets are never going to force you into a build, then they make tiers that absolutely forces everyone and makes every other build completely useless. so when we have only 1 build which is the default build why shouldn't they change it every 6 months?
should people bring up the default build and find out their character sucks or it's better to set the default to something that works? it's not a big effort

Wow should add a system for players to rate each other after the dungeon. Or the game could give players a breakdown of all the things they did good or bad. I know we have details for that but just a quick scorecard like torghast had or something because these clueless dorks getting myth track gear in their vault for playing like that in a +19 is bullshit. There has to be a way for wow to teach people how to play wow. And to all the goobers hyper focused on the baseline talent restriction /whoosh. GL jak on 3k. At this point in the season gonna be a slog

I get told to kill myself, i bought my account, i should delete my account.. can't believe what a bad healer i am... and all i wanted was for the tank to not pull the boss until i'm rezzed... yanno? ahahah I could go on.. I will not!
I really don't understand why you would cripple your group by using a bad build. I get its a challenge, but it's just making the game worse for other people. If you're trying to simulate playing as a noob, this fails because by the time they get to mid level keys, they are definitely fixing their builds... and if they aren't, people hate playing with them...
I think in these runs we were crippled by gameplay and not talent selections :)
so it's ok when the random people he plays with does not fix their builds to deal with incorp, but it is toxic when the guy doing the challenge deals with it even with a suboptimal build
@@AutomaticJak you even said the groups got mad at you because you couldn't help them with certain mechanics because of your build.... that group is crippled because you chose to use a bad build... you can keep telling yourself it's their fault, but if I was in your group, I'd hate running with you if you were playing like this

I feel like the no talent change limitation was kind of toxic, you have to remember you're playing with unknowing participants.
I think the lack of kicking, flaming other people, the outright leavers I've had in my groups is more concerning than a talent choice tbh.
Regardless, I hit 2500 and im making my own builds now
I mean it is a good illustration for blizz, throughput aside, the base build not having the base utility needed to manage affixes is pretty aweful.
There's nothing toxic about not changing your talents. It's more toxic for other party members to also not spec into talents that allow them to also handle affixes. Healers can't be the only one handling affixes, it's group content for a reason. If you have an ability that can handle weekly affixes, whatever it may be, you need to be willing to take it (as long as it's reasonable to spec into it without sacrificing to much) to help out your team.
I meant in general not specific to affixes. From a teamwork perspective I think non-healers not doing affixes when they can is worse than a healer not doing them. The flaming and what not is concerning too. I'd have the same issue if it was dps spec that could dispel but didn't take the talent because they're doing a default build only challenge.
if anything this is proof that the mindset of "healer mechanic" still greatly exists

thats how the younger generations are. not just in games, in every aspect of life. its horrible and sad, but there is nothing you can do about it. my generation fucked too much so there is too many accident children that behave like accidents their entire life.
