I can remember when I was a little kid my brother in law who is 85 years old now and still in good health, bought a 1959 olds brand new. It looked a lot like that Pontiac. Those trunks were big enough to haul livestock in. Thanks for posting.
My uncle had that exact same car back in the 60's, it was a metallic cranberry color and he had these hubcaps that were pointed on it. Then he had a powder blue '64 Catalina with a 389 and a four speed, oh man he loved that car! Then he had a red '67 Catalina fastback.
Big wheels. Great beach cruiser.. nice yard art polished up. Somewhere to listern to some good music. Plywood floors . Make a Bbq pit in the trunk. Something to stand around. Cool colour.. good video. Cheers..
I have ¹960 pontiac catalina sitting in my carport. One owner. Needs a new home. Grandma bought it new. Was left to me. Been sitting but probably run. Did last year. Inside and out looks Excellent. 100% original. Down to the fender skirts. $18k firm.
Wow!! That is amazing, sure wish I had the extra cabbage to scoop that up from you! I’d love to see it, not sure where you are, maybe be you could email me a couple pictures?
That car is restoreable just put a full floor in it and the body would be read it again.i have done enough of them..take the front cap off and raise it up and slide the floor in. I just finished a 63 grand prix that ways they make everything nowadays.
Wow, that’s super cool, hopefully you can find one! Wonder if you could swap out the transmission to a more reliable one maybe like a turbo 350 or 400?
That’s awesome you have one of these! The shaders are so cool, figured someone would be looking for one. Everything he has is for sale. You can contact him directly, or if you need help you can shoot me an email.
Looks like that your new Homestead you got plenty of land now to put many A Car Projects let's start buying these things up you know they're not making them no more
Nice to see.. that the windows have not been shot out of that car.😊
Very true! Last time I was there they told me they found a home for it.

Wow, what a car that must have been when new! I couldn’t believe how big that trunk was. Thanks for watching!
The crazy thing about this car is that it still has some usable parts on it. Cool body style.
It was a super cool car. The last time I was at the yard they told me a gentleman up north purchased it and had it shipped to him.

❤ In Sweden / Scandinavia we restore cars like this in our long winters 🇸🇪
I can imagine, verrry long winters! This one would keep you busy! Thanks for watching from Sweden!

I’m going to see what he wants for it, hopefully I can at least get it out of there.
Have one of those and a wagon.
Dang! That’s awesome! I’d love to see them!
Fantastic.... Buy it for yard art. The golden years of GM when Pontiac Olds Buick and Cadillac all were different from Chevys.
I’m going to see what he wants for it. I really like that idea.
Agree 100 percent on that 60
Such a cool car! I was there yesterday looking at it again!
I'll see a lot of parts for a 59 maybe 60 chevy. Could recover the interior pieces and make it chevy
Make it a Pontrolet!
@@Timmy_Forget as long as somebody get some use out of the remains of the car.
Brand new 59 chevy floor pan would probsbly work
I’m sure, that would make sense, they both shared that X frame
my dad had one back in the day the transmission was no good in them i like to fine one
Wow, that’s super cool, hopefully you can find one! Wonder if you could swap out the transmission to a more reliable one maybe like a turbo 350 or 400?
Every time you shut the trunk, doors etc I can hear falling rust. Neat piece of archaeology, tho.
It is super rusty for sure.. super cool car indeed. Thank fir watching!
I would remove the dash. It would make a great wall hanger.
That would be super cool!
The front bumpers on these cars doubled as a snow plow
I could see that!
Have one need that driver's door and rear window shakers

@@Timmy_Forget ok I'd buy them from you so you could make a little bit too. Unless you really want the car. What's the email?
@@kdsboosted4954my email is timmyforget@gmail.com
Thats a hitmans dream car with that trunk😂
For sure!
maybe you could find one in the west or Texas that was not as rusty and use the parts.
I started looking around and there’s not too many.. time, I’m going to keep looking for one of these or a 59 Buick.
If your friend that owns the place gives you a good deal I'll just pick it up just let it sit it's just an investment
Another fella said the same thing, I’m going to see what he wants for it.
Bad Chad would like this car for all the cool parts
There are some really cool parts on it, they were works of art.
Looks like that your new Homestead you got plenty of land now to put many A Car Projects let's start buying these things up you know they're not making them no more
Yup, trying to finish getting settled in then I can bring something home.
That’s a four speed automatic
Pretty crazy, in 1960 to have a four speed.
must be east coast so so rusty
The gulf coast got this one.
Sell it to Fred Flintstone !
Perfect!
Restore it
I’d love to!
Saddes thing ive seen this week
For sure! On a positive note, it on its way to a new home where everything usable will be saved.
Anything is savable .Its just about if you are willing to pay the cost. 99% of all car restorations are not worth it.
Very true, this critter would cost a fortune to restore!
What a shame........
It is, I wish I had the resources to save it.
_your gonna end up with a lung infection😢
Fortunately I survived 😜. For now!
With the parts availability today that car is fixable .
After I made the video I looked it up, and there are indeed tons of parts available, more than I thought.
@@Timmy_Forget fix it , one pannel at a time !
@@ronaldolweiler7745 kinda like Johny! That would make one heck of a project!
@@Timmy_Forget a u tube project. !
