I first got the Phoenix back in 2021 and did my full treatment back then. Since then it's just been sitting in a drawer. I thought the protocol was to do that initial treatment (1 month, 1 month break, 1 month again, etc) and once you got the results to just come back to it at some point when needed. So this was good info to know.

Typically in our office, we do not perform shockwave therapy on the bottom of the shaft at 6 o'clock. However, we do use focus shockwave, depending on the type of shockwave you received and the intensity setting. There are many variables that can affect the shockwave therapy, so you should ask the provider who is delivering your shockwave therapy why they are doing it at the 6 o'clock region.
The patient needs earplugs as a placebo, not numbing cream. What babies as the procedure is 100% painless. All sound waves are super loud so just relax about that.
