Your Volvo loader really is the lifeblood of your existence. Where would you be without it?

I would be totally crippled, the more machinery I have the less my back has to do. The less my back has to do the longer I can do it. Thanks Matthew.

Living up here in the Arctic region comes with a lot of challenges, the cold and snow is just two of them.. but we always find a way to deal with it no matter what 🙂Anyway, I think you are the epitome of what dealing with any challenge is all about💪 Keep on doing what you do Simon, it's great stuff.. all the best to Sarah, you and Kasper🙂

Correct Mark and there are no sissies here, no woke, almost no people compared to most places in the world. Plenty of time to rest in another life but for me busy is good, keeps the mind occupied.

Howdy Simon- you have much to do just to survive a winter there and here I am complaining about the snow and ice we’re dealing with. I should be ashamed of myself lol. It’s mainly an inconvenience here because we aren’t equipped to deal with it. Anyway, it’s good to see you again. Stay warm my friend. God’s blessings to you and Sarah

Hi Paul, I lose half my year to winter and so you must gear for that. Yes it drains me and there is no rest and yes everything is so much harder and it wrecks my body. It also brings many dangers, from frost bite to death and everything in between. The costs are also much higher, lights on 18 hours, constant trips for Gas and Diesel and so it goes on. Makes for an interesting and varied existence. Take care and Thank you.

Hello Simon and another grand adventure. Just curious to how many times you've cleaned the chimney thus far?
The old Volvo is such a great versatile machine. The hydraulics sound as though their a bit cold. Take care of ole girl with the extra work she's doing.
Be safe my friend and we'll see you down the road......thanks
10 more subs to 1k!! Woohoo!!
    Hello Sara 👋

It has been a seriously cold week and yes she is cold, once you get 20 below freezing the hydraulics need to be treated with care.
I just did the second chimney clean of the winter. I clean the furnace and back flues to the base of the upright every 2 weeks because this is where any fire will start and it is some 15 feet to the base of the vertical shaft. The main vertical shaft was cleaned this week and in November.
      Take care.

🤠👍 Why did you move to Arctic Sweden? Do you like challenges and constant struggles?
Would like to hear the story, sometimes.

I have been thinking about telling the story, I do like challenges and struggles and been very good at them all my life in a much faster paced environment, much more life and death than my slow pace now.

My sewer line in the cellar is 50mm to high so the shower and flood waters go to a sump pump, if the flood water comes too slow the the float switch won't activate and i end up with 6-9inches of water, I now have simple battery water alarm, But a wi-fi one would seem to be a good option for you in that house, But it would need internet to be any use. If you can get the owner to stump up the money.

Lets hope this was a one off and none of that is required. Flood waters sure can be a pain.
