I mention multiple times in the video that this game was not made for me. I don't follow football, nor do I play the sport. I also gave an example of a better game for half the price. If you actually think this game is worth $29.99 idk what to tell ya 😅 if you enjoy it that's great! However like most sports games, this feels like a lack luster half finished game that's being priced and advertised as a triple A title. it feels like sports Game developers don't respect their playerbase at times, and in my opinion this is one of those times.
@@Dom-Snow I think there are lots of problems with the game, from throwing to only being qb, they have said they will add more later and improve what there is. I don’t think the game is amazing but I feel like I have tons of fun while playing it. 30$ is a lot but hopefully we have quite the future with updates.

I don't know, why make this video if you aren't even a fan of the sport? Kind of seems pointless - the first minute you're just explaining the sport of football lmao. I do appreciate the video however.
In the vid I mention that I bought the game to show my friends and fam who love football. But even they laughed at how janky everything looked. Yes im "explaining football" in the beginning. but the point is to show that you only get to experience a tiny part of the actual game of football. You throw the ball. with mediocre throwing mechanics. and then you WATCH COMPUTERS play the game for you. Just seems like a total slap in the face to charge $30 for. As a massive football fan, I wish they did more with the game to justify the 30 dollar price tag, but its still a pretty fun experience
Updates as the months goes according to them. Even then it’s fun and replayable
Online is the thing that adds the extra 20 dollars it’s 10 for the qb
@@kjjr6713 even with updates it won't change much. Its never going to be a full game. They never would of officially released it in this state as a 1.0 version if it was ever going to be a full game.

I only got one issue, sometimes when I throw the football it drills it into the ground, then I get sacked and lose 10 yards. And the audibles don’t even work.

when 2MD first came out it wasn't a great game but over time with updates it got better.. I didn't expect this game to be great since it's the first try but it will get better with updates and a year or two from now it will be a totally different game just like 2MD

I do wish it could be a little bit less of a price tag. But being a sports fan this game looks amazing. The devs have said they are adding more such as playing as a wr (the guy that catches the ball) multiplayer. And playing defense. I do think The game will get better.

I agree - as a football fan, this is exciting! I've played 2MD which is also a fun arcade game, but this is NFL licensed!
Not being to pick your own play and having to audible to do so makes it not worth $30
In your recording softward (obs) for example you can go into the scene and turn on the audio, for w/e reason the in game audio is off by default. if you were recording right to the headset I am unsure why the audio would be off but I would suggest checking in the settings to see if you can find options, maybe something is muted.
I enjoy the game but it is a bit buggy still and overpriced for what you get. a cool experience still though for fans of the game.
Idk...tbh most people like the idea of playing as qb. I doubt many people would want to play offensive lineman. And for fans of the NFL getting that feeling of being in the stadium on the field as quarterback for their favorite team and taking them to the super bowl is worth the 30 bucks.
That's fair, the atmosphere the game gives off is nice don't get me wrong. my main issue is just that if you ignore the fact that it's an NFL licensed game, it doesn't really do anything special to be charging people $30 for it. If you love football and want to support it that's great! However sports games in general have gotten away with charging people top dollar for barely any innovation for TOO long 😮💨 and IMO this is another example of that. I bought the game as someone who is indifferent to football hoping to enjoy the gameplay (and show friends who like football). Unfortunately 60% of gameplay feels like watching the NPCs do all the fun stuff 😔 maybe I expected too much.
People who don't like sports should NEVER review sports games.
How else would people get unbiased opinions on games? Any NFL fan is gonna say the game is great whether or not it's true. People should know this isn't worth the $30 price tag (at least not yet)
I respect how you feel about it. For me personally I like it, it's a little bland yes (right now) but man o man to think where the tech will take sports games in a few years 🤯

The tech isn't the problem. The problem is the software. The reason so many VR games feel like tech demos is because fully fleshed out video games take years to develop and the Xbox/PS/PC market just has more potential buyers than VR so the vast majority of developers just ignore the VR market. Yes the Quest2 basically only has a high end android processor, graphically the game looks about as good as it can get right now, however even with current tech they could of given us a full madden type game if they spent the time/money to produce a full game.
Agree but when game is made for you it makes it 10 percent better I give this game a a 3 and 1/2 Stars game should be worth $10 MAX

How does it look and feel? Throwing Calibration? In your opinion
graphics are alright for being a quest game but there were a few bugs in that department for sure. Throwing felt good and completing long passes feels great, I didn't have any issues in that regard but sometimes the npc you throw to just kinda ignores the ball 🙃 when it works it's fun to chuck the ball 🏈 I just wish there was more polish for the price tag

Good review, just some of my own opinions. For one when you said you was hoping it would be like Madden, a football sim, I get that I wish it was too but early in development the developers did mention you were only going to play the QB. Also the standing on the sideline is not too much of an issue with simming. And all the graphical errors and stuff like that is simply the Quest's lack of power. In my opinion after playing 2MD for around 50 hours and Pro Era for maybe 2, I think Pro Era is a better game for football fans and it solves some issues I had with 2MD such as not being able to return to the locker in between exhibitions games which made me really exhausted.
Totally understandable! Much of the blame falls on me for not doing more research before dropping $30 I thought the mechanics in general for QB were nice, I shoulda mentioned that more. I just expected too much and was let down a bit. I've definitely been spoiled by PCVR lately though...😅

@@Dom-Snow For a first effort from two former NFL players, this is very much worth it, esp when Madden is $69 on my PS5. When we support efforts like this, the next one will be even better. Can you see a vision that's not Madden? Can someone else make a NFL football game other than EA? Innovation and creativity thrive when there's more than vision of a NFL Football game. This is it. That's what's up!

Yes you can use running plays, not just QB, and in actual football ummmmm, yes your QB stands on the sidelines while your defense is on the field, so yes this is realistic to football, so why are you giving reviews on something you know nothing about?

there is a play when you can do a qb keep and you can run and get a touch down
and also there is multiplayer and it is really fun
and you can do seasons and play in the super bowl
It's half a game that they sell you for the price of a triple A VR game. The game can be fun, sure. But it's NOT worth the $30 price tag bottom line sports games have brainwashed their fans into thinking they need to spend top dollar on bottom dollar experiences. Sorry 😅

The store page doesn't mention that it's early access or anything But because there are a bunch of NFL jpegs pasted all over the place people believe it's actually worth a very high price (for a VR game). As far as I could tell there was no way to skip the sideline/clipboard simulator. I wouldn't be as bummed if I could run into the crowd or something but they stick u in an invisible rectangular box and you just gotta watch the NPCs play Madden from a terrible angle 😂👌mint game lemme tell ya
@@Dom-Snow There's only like 2 buttons on the clipboard and one of them is Start Sim button which skips the opponents plays

I personally love the game and I only paid the $30 because I am very confident the game will significantly improve. The main thing I want right now is like if you threw the ball you would then become the receiver and have to catch the ball and follow through with the play. Other than that I still think the game right now by itself would be like $15

my issue with that is that it just becomes another gimmick minigame. Vr has enough of those. I would like to see next running back as the controlled player. running, blocking, and catching. would be a nice next step. of course multiplayer would also be great, both vs and co-op
