In that same breath Don saying the PL, which is clearly tiers above, is being hyped and its not all that while his team struggled the last 2 years.

Maresca inherited a PL team in the championship, thats the difference between his side & Farke + Kompany Norwich + Burnley sides.
He had it easier then both Kompany who had to implement a completely different style.
Farke had a young team with Buendia, Cantwell, with young defense of Lewis, Godfrey, Max Aarons who he had to continue on with in PL which was a step too big.
Leceister squad Maresca had are ready made squad with experienced PL players like Jamie Vardy, Iheanacho, Ndidi, Winks, Dewsbury-Hall, Wes Faes, Vestegaard, Conor Coady, Perreira, Justin, GK Ward.
PL legend striker in Jamie Vardy had a great championship campaign & had 18 goals in 35 games in Championship after coming off a poor season where he scored 3 goals in 37 PL games during a relegation season.
James Justin & Perreira were both highly regarded & had potential big moves ahead in there careers were plagued with injuries in PL.
Both barely played 10+ games a season in there last 3 years in the PL.
Both played long, healthy seasons in championship.
The physical demand isn't the same.
Just cuz the name you listed got pl experience doesn't mean they are good player for example Faes, Ndidi and Vestegaard they are bum. Yeah Farke got young team but the players were good

as much as I can see the issue they have with don talking big about his team, some of his points are valid. if he believes the team is better, let him believe it. they’re talking down on maresca when arsenal employed a manager who never managed a prem team and spurs hired a scottish league manager. chelsea’s pull got 3 players liverpool wanted. talking down on the team is one thing, trying to say that EVERYTHING is garbage and it will never succeed is delusional.
