They stopped doing that(except for scadutree avatar) because now the 2 different health bars are mixed into one big helthbar. The big phase shift when health reaches 50% would be a second healthbar in the older games
I didnt understand the second phase fully until my 4th playthrough of the dlc, but once it finally clicked, I too consider Radahn one of the best. I would definitely have Scadutree Avatar in my top 5 though, seeing him in average kinda hurts
@@Shura046 I like the moveset, I love the music, I thought the 3 phases were a great fake out, and even on my subsequent playthroughs I still just really like the boss. I like pretty much all the attacks, the gold projectiles, the thorns, all the melee attacks, and of course the triple explosion that trolled me so hard on my first playthrough. And although this has nothing to with the fight itself, the boss weapon is probably my favorite in the dlc. Something so great about whacking things with a giant sunflower that does insane stance damage, and with holy damage actually being really great in this dlc, it kinda just clears
The lore of the boss was fairly straightforward, more so than Elden Beast. Ansbach pretty much tells you everything you need to know. And the gameplay of the fight is really good once you get it. It's made really hard to learn though with the light beams and the hair, and the second phase didnt click for me until about my 4th playthrough. One can make a case that a boss that requires 4 playthroughs to be good is bad design, and that is definitely a valid criticism, but I don't share that one personally
Wished Mesmer had 2 healthbars, he was such a great boss
Facts
I've always seen 2 health bars as insanely cheap

The lion was the secret weapon fighting against messmer, they were kinda made weapons not really people anymore
Kind of a shitty weapon if he was able to solo several of them in the cinematic trailer.

How come you like the Scadutree avatar? Just curious

I just started the video, so idk if you correct yourself, but you said Rellana wasn't a rememberance boss which is funny
I didn’t correct myself unfortunately I remembered after💀
Final boss placement is scuffed. Its an ass boss with confusing lore
What's confusing about it
