Hi from Ct. I bought this about a year ago after seeing your review, my wife calls it my “ Sootch” bag. I love it because my EDC gear is way beyond my pockets can hold.
Sootch, I hadn’t seen this video before, but when I went to the Roaring Fire site from another video, I saw the sling…and I bought it literally sight unseen from the images and descriptions. I don’t feel bad for missing the discount code because this is already ridiculously well-priced already! I’ll do a follow up after I receive it, but I am literally blown away with how well-designed this bag is. Thank you for all your videos on this and your other channel!
I love my sling pack. I’ve had my Maxpedition Kodiak for years great for edc and more. Roaring fire gear is nice too. I have a few small pouches and a tool roll from them. All because of your reviews lol.
About 5 years ago, I ordered a T311 tactical messenger bag from Rapdom that cost $ 64.00 and I love it!!! ... Half the cost of a maxpedition sling bag and much better
I do carry a slinger every day commute to work by bus about 90 minutes each way. Almost identical but different manufacturer. I do impose a rule for myself, noting on the outside but inside there are items with attachments that would move if I ever had to walk the 50 miles home. Exact Same headband light. In fact almost the same loadout with some brand variances. Guarantee it would get me home from work wherever I started even if there was trouble on the way... Good video, thanks.
This looks like a great sling.. i love the size, a features. It'd be great if Roaring Fire would do a backpack version of this that clamshells open on the main compartment... maybe a couple of extra color options available too
I use a small sling pack. The "Osprey daylight pack". With it being smaller and a sling. I can quickly sling it for my back to front and pull out any items that I need without the pack having to be taken off.
The only things I carry in my sling pack is a couple power banks, a couple batteries for camera & camcorder, memory cards, mini tripod and a mini notebook for phone numbers or autographs.
Sling packs are great because they are grab-and-go. You don't have to get both arms through the straps in order to have it securely on you. I still haven't found the backpack of my dreams, but I do have a sling bag for grab-and-go emergencies. In a calamity it's got everything I need for a day.
I'm always keen to see how people set their gear up and what they carry but it would be nice to see a kit that has actually been used. There have been some on here that you just get the impression they are advertising gear, no names mentioned, but I just feel it won't be long before they are advertising powdered water. This was a nice set up though. Thanks for sharing.
Brother, I just wanted to say that I love you for all of your hard work. I want to thank you for the "labor of love" you bring to the education of others. I get a good feeling about you. I know that the work you do brings out a lot of "TROLLS". I'm not sure what makes people that way? I rarely comment but,, today I felt moved to do so. I guess it was to let you know that there are those of us who care about you and your family. So guess what? I glean your content and share this with like minded folks so I can better help them in their endeavors to be better prepared. It truly is a circle Brother. Thank you. Rev
I suggest the day hiking lumbar pack by mountain smith if you will be carrying something else. I have two small children so there is a good chance I will be carrying at least one of them in a pack.
I love the concept of a sling pack. I carry one every day for off-body CC. Could you do a video utilizing this pack, but tailored around flying and TSA "rules"??? What items would you carry as a "survival kit", besides the obvious, medical, flashlight, ??? What are some ideas/items that WON'T get the overlords at TSA in a tizzy???
I have a Roaring Fire backpack that I bought about 4 years ago, and the straps are so rotten that they are breaking off when I try strap something to the pack. I was really hoping that it would last longer.
I have two other sling packs but they both rub my neck raw so much that I hardly use them actively. They are now relegated to just organization of gear. I like the look of the Roaring Fire sling. I think I'll save my pennies and give it a try in the future.
I have the maxpedition remora sling...whats the difference between this one and the remora?why is this one only 59.99 the remora is 113.00..roaring gear seems to have better prices then maxpedition
This is not ambidextrous, it's for right handers and it happens to allow the strap to switch. All internal pockets are for RH, the conceal carry pocket only opens for RH. I asked roaringfire if this fit my laptop and got 2 opposing answers. In the end this is a Chinese company with an American front. They only take PayPal and the receiving address is Chinese characters. The confirmation from PayPal is from Chinese characters. In the end Walmart has a nearly identical chinesium sling bag for half this price. I get it, china is where all our industry went. But this bag is just a Walmart bag for right handers.
😎Absolutely always awesome videos😎 thank you😎 by the way what type of knife is that that you have with that sling pack. God bless you sensibleprepper and your family❤🙏🇱🇷
So many tools. The amount of metal blades/tools is unnecessary, especially on a “casual” “day to day” edc. Silky saw in there? Regardless I do love the spirit of the channel. Glad to see you’re enjoying filling up your new bag sootch.
The word "Slingshot" in the title is a bit deceiving. A slingshot is a tool that shoots ammo, marbles and rocks, not any form of backpack or sling pack. If some company is using the Name "Slingshot" or using that name for one of their models, Shame on them. Be safe my friends.

Interesting you mentioned backpacks, they were actually intended to be carried on the chest/stomach area therefore the access is easier.
Looks nice, just wish they were available in more colors (grey, black multi cam). C’mon Sootch, use your pull to get some more colors!

Nice you can switch sides with the strap. Some packs out there they sew them right to the bag and you're stuck with either left or right side.
This looks like a great sling.. i love the size, a features. It'd be great if Roaring Fire would do a backpack version of this that clamshells open on the main compartment... maybe a couple of extra color options available too
Looks likes a well thought out bag. I like it. Thanks.
I use a small sling pack. The "Osprey daylight pack".
With it being smaller and a sling. I can quickly sling it for my back to front and pull out any items that I need without the pack having to be taken off.
Great review Sootch !
I have a 53 L pack, then I got a 29 L pack. And now I think I need a sling pack *rolls eyes*
Gee thanx Sootch lol
Yep! For "grab and go" and quick access a sling pack is the best. Watch an NFL game and see what the trainers use for medical equipment.
Afternoon NY, Texas says Howdy
Looks like a good product that can be useful. Thanks for the review.
A little off topic, but I found LifeStraw 4 packs at Costco for $18.
The only things I carry in my sling pack is a couple power banks, a couple batteries for camera & camcorder, memory cards, mini tripod and a mini notebook for phone numbers or autographs.
I see the advantages at an event but backpack is more comfortable for me. To each their own 🖖🇺🇸🙏
I always keep my Fleshlight handy also
Nuts, I was thinking this would be about a real slingshot.

So do I, so if a product doesn't perform, I tell people about it. I don't troll. looks like it's time to unsubscribe from this channel.
Nice little day pack!!
Looks like my Maxpedition Sitka Gearslinger. I carry mine all the time.
Just reminded me that sling shots are not always a slingshot but a sling pack thanks
I suggest the day hiking lumbar pack by mountain smith if you will be carrying something else. I have two small children so there is a good chance I will be carrying at least one of them in a pack.
Love the channel learned a lot from all your reviews!👍🏼
I've had a 5.11 moab 10 for years. Sling bags have their pros and cons.
Yes, every kind of pact has their pros and cons. I think that's a universal truth.
It's hotter than 10 Hell's outside. It only gets hotter from here

I was a little disappointed when I realized this wasn’t a backpack specifically for carrying slingshots 😜
🤣
I have a Roaring Fire backpack that I bought about 4 years ago, and the straps are so rotten that they are breaking off when I try strap something to the pack. I was really hoping that it would last longer.
Picked one up Brother. Thank you!
Start buying up big bags of rice. Also, petrol is going up in price again in the UK
Nobody cares about fragrant rice
Love the bloopers.!
Although I'd use it as a backpack, I'd rather use a bum bag / fanny pack to access items with ease.
Turn it inside out and use it as a sigal for search and rescue because it's very bright. Lol
Will the Grayl Geopress fit that water bottle pocket?
I don't leave home without my bugout bag
I have two other sling packs but they both rub my neck raw so much that I hardly use them actively. They are now relegated to just organization of gear. I like the look of the Roaring Fire sling. I think I'll save my pennies and give it a try in the future.
Why do you cal;l a sling paxk a sligshot? What does it shoot, or is it some kind of local jargon?
Good afternoon from Syracuse NY brother and everyone else
Hi Earl, Thanks for stopping by!
Good afternoon Earl fron NJ
Good afternoon my friend
I enjoy your videos
I have the maxpedition remora sling...whats the difference between this one and the remora?why is this one only 59.99 the remora is 113.00..roaring gear seems to have better prices then maxpedition
nice pack ,I use a sling pack, but it is a maxpedition version
Are you in NC? I'M IN LUMBERTON AREA
Can you easily fit a g19 in the concealed pocket

I wish they had shipping to Brazil
if those packs have that rubberized “waterproof” lining, they are cheap and fall apart in a few months.
how appropriate I have been looking for a good slingshot thanks 👍
How many liters sootch
Nice pack
😎Absolutely always awesome videos😎 thank you😎 by the way what type of knife is that that you have with that sling pack. God bless you sensibleprepper and your family❤🙏🇱🇷
Yes please info on knife. Thx
I think he said it was a Glock field knife.
What’s the brand of the watch?
I have a $20 Primary Arms sling pack. It holds about as much as one of my wife's purses. I keep it full of ammo. Which I guess makes my ammo purse?
God bless America and God bless México . Saludos desde la ciudad de México
I WANT THAT KNIFE . WHERE N WHAT IS IT ? Dang the code is not valid ??
Shoulder killer!
Looking for dimensions.. would love if my laptop fit in it
Hi from Sweden sir good youtube channel 😊
What knife is that?
Can someone tell me why this same bag sells for 18.99 on Amazon?
Use mine for deer hunting
My sling bags are color coded per caliber...
I have some expensive sling packs and don’t like them because they feel as awkward as doing the fireman’s carry. 🤷🏼♂️
I practice with my red rider. Low on cash.
So many tools. The amount of metal blades/tools is unnecessary, especially on a “casual” “day to day” edc. Silky saw in there?

That looks so uncomfortable
That one really does look uncomfortable. There’s a lot better designed ones out there
It's a MAN PURSE

Click bait!! I didn’t see the wood furniture!! Booo boooh!

This is America. Manufacturers can name their products whatever they want.
