- Today’s #mukbang is a #Samoan favorite: Pinaki’s! Seems like everyone in #Samoa has a story to tell about eating at Pinaki’s as it has become a local classic! Joe takes the plunge, bones and all, into massive plates of fried chicken, sausages, scrambled eggs, rice, and chicken and mushroom in today's vlog! It’s painful and hilarious, haha!

The chicken in the curry was chopped while it was soft which the bones shaders & small bone fragments spread through the curry. Little trick to fix this if you cut it semi frozen, the bone cuts clean.. i learned that from my mum. Ofas from tonga..
Yep, you’re absolutely correct!! Unfortunately, i can’t tell them how to cook their chicken at their restaurant. Hopefully one day i’ll get used to it, haha!

I used to buy cheap at Pinati. One piece of fried fish was $1.10 tala and the rice would be free. $3.30 tala are three piece of fishes and free rice

I've found what worked best for me was a low carb diet and intermittent fasting. Lost 50lbs in 4 months, now looking into a mainly carnivore diet.
aikalo80 great suggestion! I’m kinda tryna do that a little bit. Not worrying too much about carbs, but definitely doing intermittent fasting in hopes that it helps me gain some more self control over my poor eating habits.

Yeah, once u mentioned the bones in da chicken, a memory popped up.. lol.. i swear i almost choked on one of those bones the last time I had pinaki, lol.. how funny.. and as for the weather its Cali and its Spring its da best time of the year, cool and sunny.. anyways, the egg fu yung is my favorite and da sosisi puaa not breaded though but smothered with gravy.. lol.. yummy!! We are trying. We tried to get to Namua a couple weeks ago, but the owner was kinda not nice and kind of unresponsive so we couldn’t figure it out in time for our break. But yes. We are going to hit up Namua and Manono. Not sure about Apolima. Also going to Manu’a as later this year. ❤️❤️❤️🇼🇸

It’s been rainy the past several days! Waiting for it to clear up again. Hopefully soon. We moved to Samoa to learn the language and get a better understanding of the culture. we always had chicken with the bones and you're supposed to spit the bones out...lol... hey a real chicken sandwich in Mississippi is two pieces of chicken with bread and people just eat around the bones.

Probably one of the first restaurants in Samoa, and i see from this review that not much has changed with their chicken and egg foo young. And they have one here in Otahuhu :)

Yeah, eating this way isn’t really out of the ordinary for me 😳😂. But recording it has actually helped me stay accountable in the other meals i eat, haha! I know y’all will be sad with me if i don’t lose at least a little bit of weight between the mukbangs, haha! ☺️

Wow Pinakis!! I think thats the best. My fav is the Egg Foo Yong wherever I go. I havent tried the mushroom chicken. I will have too though as I love mushrooms.
Hard thing is Pinakis dont have a menu board (that I've seen anyway) so you kinda need to know what to order. Bit hard for the Palagis...I definetly am not psychic lol!

Great question!! The answer is both, lol! In Samoan, the letter n is changed to a letter g and the letter t is changed to the letter k for casual speaking. So the place is actually called Pinati’s. But most Samoans call it Pinaki’s. And then in conversation, they say Pigaki’s. Lol!
I prefer Sunrise over Pinaki lol. Their chicken curry is filled with bones :-(
I actually thought about Sunrise instead of Pinaki’s but it seems like everyone wanted me to go to Pinaki’s. I’ll have to give Sunrise a go one of these days, haha!

Samoa leave the bones in for the flavor and to keep the chicken meat moist, you don’t eat the bone joe, you eat around the bones. You sounds like you got shot every time you bite into a bone, that’s a Samoa pork sausage. Good food, pinati is a long time Samoa fast food.
