It is probably a reference to Réquiem for a Spanish Peasant, one of the first roles by Antonio Banderas. It is the story of a Spanish peasant named Paco, whom we follow from birth until death. This is done from the perspective of the priest who baptised him, his old friend. In the rise of the Second Spanish Republic, Paco, runs for the village council and strips the absent landowners of their income so it can be used for the benefit of the poor. @Chidindu Eze probably not, market based economy and capitalism are not the same thing. Capitalism as we know it is pretty recent. Plenty of civilizations the world over have had money and trade but not capitalism
Feudalism is more of a collectivist system of government. Capitalism is based on economic freedom and there was none of that under feudal economies. You were bound to the land. The guild system meant you weren't free to choose your profession. And the state, in this case the feudal lord, pretty much had total control over your life. On the other hand, you were also the responsibility of that feudal lord, at least in theory. So he had obligations to look after your welfare. When I think about it, that might be the appeal of Socialism. Feudal systems were generally quite stable and lasted a long time. Perhaps people are scared of economic freedom and want some feudal lord, aka the state, guaranteeing their security and managing their lives.

Damn, that explained the lightskin staring 💀
You did NOT JUST-- 🤣😂💀
Not if we look at the statistics. Being white makes him way likelier to get shot. Just less likely to commit the crime. :)
#WhiteHorseLivesMatter
Damn bro that's cold 😂
and the knights who captured him wasn't the one who wear white robe and conical mask
If this movie comes out to theatres again as a rerun, I'd love to see this scene with people. No questions asked
Yeah same
People would be offended by it these days 💀😒
Even the actual Cops show got cancelled, this scene would be removed, we live in a dark age. Having said that, I think kids would still laugh at it
@@Synpathetixsadly you are right. What's wrong with the snowflake cancel culture? When did we turn the ship wheel to the south?
@@GaijinDTyou are right, sadly. What's wrong with the cancel snowflake culture? When did we turn the ship wheel to the north?
The catnip bit killed me when I first saw this in theaters and kills me now lol

I like how there's graffiti on the walls despite the fact that this took place in the 16th century
There have been graffiti in ancient Rome.
@@howtomundane3109 but definitely not spray paint graffiti
Lord of Savior, please send us all back to reality on earth, turn back time to September 26th, 1999 and we all become our younger selves. So I can avoid autism to become a typical average person by spend more times with my family and so many friends from Sterling Elementary School when I can be a 5 year old after I can be a 2 year old to watch educational stuffs on tv, learning, writing, playing, exercising and singing.
@@howtomundane3109 like paint I presume
Never watched much COPS myself, but this and the Star Wars fan film TROOPS are immortal gems for me and others one way or another.
The way they pepper spray makes me laugh like a madman
This truly says a lot about our society.
🤣🤣🤣

Damn yo that's some deep shi- 🗿
Puss: "Catnip, that's, uh, not mine."
Me: It actually was, and he tried to hide it so well, which made it funny.
@@thischannelhasbeenabandoned420 I disagree the way he says it’s not his basically tells you it is 😂
Oh. well, either way, that was an ironic/funny moment for Puss, what with him being a cat and all.
You can see the knight slipping the catnip from his gauntlet if you slow it down. It wasn’t his
@@lechevalier-ns2pt If you find the same video not in 240p and slow it down, you can clearly see the knight pull the catnip from puss's boot
@@bunnyben5607 Maybe but Puss also got caught with catnip in his own movie and admitted it that time, probably because he was already doing life in prison.
Eddie Murphy's voice made it 100% more hilarious.
The rare joke that ages so fucking bad that it becomes topical and good again
Fairytale Lives Matter. ✊
pepper grinder was the best part lol
Police beating up Tony timpa

*plants a crossbow next to donkey* He's got a crossbow!
Yeah, this is cinema. All the little subtle details like the catnip being planted and black pepper spray gag are GOLD.
One of the most subtle details is when the knight pulls the catnip off Puss, and you can see that he planted it himself 😂
Most calming oblivion playtrough
This got censored on Public TV after the whole "Fenty-Nil Floyd" case
This movie taught me what "Police Brutality" was.
I love how Puss got catnip planted as evidence by the knights
the camera angle gets me everytime
As a child I was already aware of this being a police joke. Including the drugs.
Now as an adult it gets funnier
i love the way Puss freakin goes ballistic on that one knight! XD
The pepper spray gets me.
