@@Dtzeo503 Thats the thing though, you can run a yokai shift build with versatility too. Its a bit more resource heavy, but its definately possible. Having a weapon on hand for when you want to do more Ki damage during yokai shift? Go splitstaff, Versatility +X, and youre in a shift thats more KI based, go claws, katana or whatever, Versatility +X and voila, youre now in damage mode. Essentially, youre just adding Yokai weapons into your build.
benzaiten and susano are basically interchangable as both offer the versatility effect as the 6pc bonus. use whichever you prefer. its really neat though that such a powerful bonus is available as soon as you unlock Dream of the Demon though, and that it can carry all the way through Dream of the Nioh. such a great effect.
Eh, I didn't run Benzaiten on my Kagu Night Rain build simply because I preferred to go after Kagu's & Red Demon's Scorch bonuses. I did get some use out of Inari however.
here is one build Im trying to optimize: 2 pcs dreaming demon 2 pcs khoku master 5-6 susano. one gear slot can be empty to achieve a agility without grinding, or you can grind your ass out and get weight reduction. but still you can have dodge range up when in b agility and equip set sword or/and dual sword to get a agility. you can get mystic diad all/etra health/ extra luck etc with remaning slots.very good anima regen and good damage. even more equip water kuzuryu weapons for more anima.
As for the YS build, weapons do matter. As they pre-determine the output. So, Splitstaff, hands etc, does about... 20% less damage, but more KI. Claws, sword and such doesnt get this penalty/bonus (depends how you look at it?)

You might be lacking certain Shiftling passives. The ones that reduce your gauge consumption make a MASSIVE difference. Also, reducing ki consumption in general seems to greatly benefit Yokai Shift as well.

Do nioh 2 armor perks/ stack? Example: lets say I have 1x 50 dual blade damage on each piece of armor. Do now get 5x 50 dmg dual blade damage or only once?

Well with Benzaiten's grace, you'll be able to plow thru most things because of the damage boost Versatility provides. Beyond that, you can pretty much work with whatever you see fit and clear content at a good pace. Farming isn't really necessary because you can forge whatever you need. In addition, most gear will likely be replaced by the options that become available on Wise/Nioh.

How is this even possible to reach those stats, It was a pain in the ass to just try to get 7 pieces of saru's grace et 4 pieces of the other grace you show, for the yokai shit build. I've got absolutely no critical sub stats, no Anima substat. Temper is the most useless thing I never see in a video game ever... I've been trying to make that build for weeks
Many of those stats are pure luxury. The backbone of the build is Sarutahiko's and Magatsuhi's Grace with Janomecho/Amabie. The rest you can get over time. Immovablewisdom6 was simply showcasing the build on +9 ...which I personally find crazy. I'm sure your setup alone could handle the rest of the game.

I can't deduce the exact reason as to why you're having a short yokai shift. Could be how your Shiftling tree is filled out or it could be that you aren't at 5 stacks of Blood of the Yokai. If you wanted a more pointed response, then I'd recommend joining the discord and many others can help you out with your build.
I wonder if its possible to do this build earlier or is it purely endgame?? ( I only ask because I always thought it was a shame the forms were shown so much and like... you barely really use em?) Kindal ike TN was afraid to create living weapon again... which this build basically said nah fam take this yokai shift lmao
I'm more impressed by the way moves with that spear. I love spear but I always struggle when fighting Yokais.

Yeah it's a matter of striking versus slashing weapons. one of those weird hidden mechanics.

Sukunahikona's Grace. It's not available as dropped loot. You can only get it by big sudama rerolling.

I got a soul core box but it doesnt have the plus factor. Do i have to penance it to get the plus?

When you say 7pc Ninigi's/6pc Futsunushi are you implying that you can have both full grace sets equipped at the same time?
you can get a 7 piece bonus of one grace set AND another 6 piece bonus.

I'm totally copying that omnistyle build, I just got way of the demon unlocked and can forge benzaiten gear, do you have any tips or advice?

These are mostly endgame builds. You can probably get some of framework for Omnistyle by Dream of the Demon.
lmao why are you saying "plus" between 6 and piece. Just say "unifier of the warring states plus" that's how it's written in the game after all
